Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang| ESPN: Move to PSG very close

I think that's his way of trying to tempt Madrid, by possibly forcing a bidding war with other clubs.

Would love him here though

Do not want at Bayern. He'll be shit anyway, when FIFA abandons the offside rule :wenger:
Of course i would take him

He's ruled out Bayern and Liveepool and said if he doesnt go to Real its not the end of the world so that doesn't leave many top teams that currently need a striker.

City if they get rid of Aguero.

Barcelona have Suarez

Arsneal can't even hold on to sanchez so highly unlikely.

Chelsea have Costa.

PSG could definitely invest.

Juventus have Higuian and Dybala.

We have Ibrahimovic but we could be intrested as a replacement.

He would work for us, but he is one player who I would accept the 'what about Rashford?' argument, simply because they are basically two strikers of identical skill set. I'd be all for us signing a target man or traditional 9 like Icardi, that Auba offers all that Rashford does, and I think Rashford can become a similar level and style of player with some investment.

His flirting with Real is getting borderline creepy. If they want you, you'll go there. If they don't, just let it go, man. Other big clubs exist in the world.

So then where do Aguero, Gabriel Jesus, iheanacho fit in then? Can't bench them all.
Aguero apparently will be sold. Jesus and Iheanacho I'm sure can get game time off the bench or in cup games (both players can play as a striker or out wide so they'll get game time).

It must be so annoying for Dortmund fans, that he talks about other clubs all the time.

TBH no credence can be given to things said whilst on international duty. It will all get denied the following week.

Nope, we knew that after Miki, Hummels and Gundo he is next. 100 mil, please. Watzke would not restructure his contract to get paid accordingly.

Martial - Aubameyang - Mkhitaryan
Pogba - Herrera
90-year old Carrick

I would love to see Auba here. Him and Miki scored half of Dortmund's goals last season and they are very close friends. But then there are Ibra and Rashford in the team.

Ibra shouldn't be in the way of us signing a young top class striker.
Neither should Rashford.

I'm not saying we'll get Aubameyang, but if we can get him, we damn well should.

He is not that young and he will not settle for Ibra's backup here.

It's not so much knowing that he might leave (I think he will 2017 or 2018), but that he's non stop - slight exaggeration - talking about it.

I can't understand Real if they don't go for this one, he is the best striker currently available on the market.

Add to that his flirting with Real and you'd imagine they could perform their dark arts with tapping up and a media campaign to get him at a fair price as well.

Never said he'd be backup. He'd take the place.
Because you'd rather have a quality 27-year old than one that is 35.
No reason Zlatan can't figure as rotation/backup for a year or go if it's for the betterment of the club.

I'd rather see Manchester United back in europes elite than Rashford as our second choice striker.

Because we don't need him? We already have cristiano and bale. Benzema complements them better than aubameyang ever could. If we're going for a forward we'll be going for absolute top/potential top, like dybala. We don't have infinite money and goalscorers aren't exactly a priority with our team

Christiano is regressing these days and in two years time he won't be the force of nature he is now, you guys need someone in their prime to take over, or ideally two since you need two "normal" players to replace Ronaldo

Imagine the counter potential in Auba and Bale combined, everyone else would seem like they stand still.

Dybala is more of a wide forward, isn't he?

Then again, Ronaldo got it in his locker to play as dedicated #9 once his pace is gone, so someone like Dybala and Bale on each wide flank could play off him.

Dybala is a #10 in the italian-south american style, creative, playmaking second striker. Like Messi, pretty much.

Auba is Bale's age, not like he's 24 coming into his prime. Cristiano is fading but he's still cristiano, we won't be moving on from him anytime soon. And as long as we have him and bale, spending lots of money on what is essentially a pure goalscorer is meaningless. If we sign a forward, it will be the kind of generational talent who can take over from cristiano. Aubameyang is not that player

I feel bad for him. Great player with the dream to play for Madrid but he's not a Galactico so he'll probably never play for them. Seems like a PSG/City player to me.

Personally, I wouldn't have him here. Doesn't strike me as a "United" player... He's a speed merchant and can't dribble very well either. Can see someone like City or Arsenal buying him.

Don't want him. He courts Madrid so cringeworthy, imagine if he had a good form for us and Madrid comes knocking. No, please.

Aguero has signed a contract extension so we can rule City out. Realistically that leaves PSG, Atsenal and maybe us.

It'll be Pep or Aguero in the summer.

He signed it before the summer didn't he and they still went for him, means nothing.

I'm a big Auba fan, but Zlatan's ego is bigger and he will be here at least 2 more years. Not sure how will this work. If it does, great!
