Do we know what salary Jones is on? Maybe the contract was some sort of retirement package as it was clear that he won't play anymore?

Imagine a wounded animal… you dont prolong its pain. You put it down
“I’m proud of my career and when it finishes and I’m enjoying my life — and by the way I’m super fortunate that I’ll be able to do that, because footballers are fortunate — [the keyboard warriors] will still be in their mum’s spare bedroom, sipping Diet Pepsi that’s flat, eating a Pot Noodle, sitting in their boxers, tweeting.”He could have retired at any time. So he is happy cashing in. He even taunted fans who felt that the situation was beyond ridiculous

Would you retire if offered tons of money? This one is on Ed the Idiot and Ole.
What irritates me the most is that some fans still think Jones is a solid player when he is free from injury. He is not.
Feel sorry for him but this is just highlight how badly club is run.
If Glazers were paying money from their pocket, they would never allow this situation to happen. But here we are, it's club's money so they don't care.
A year old quote where he takes a shot at the trolls that drove him off social media ended your sympathy for him?Yeah this pretty much ended any sympathy I had for the guy.

It wasIs that a real quote though? If it is, was done in such poor taste. Imagine collecting money from the club for all these years without so much as even trying to play through pain. Then actually coming out and dissing supporters who pay his wages.
fecking disgrace.
CharmingLeeche
Jokes on him, I’m sitting fully clothed with the shower on eating frozen potato wedges straight from the bag and crying hysterically.“I’m proud of my career and when it finishes and I’m enjoying my life — and by the way I’m super fortunate that I’ll be able to do that, because footballers are fortunate — [the keyboard warriors] will still be in their mum’s spare bedroom, sipping Diet Pepsi that’s flat, eating a Pot Noodle, sitting in their boxers, tweeting.”

That was an awful quote by him. I lost a bit of respect for him after he spouted that nonsense.

Not his fault.
Must be fun leeching your way through season after season without needing to work.
? as in it’s not his fault his knees have fallen to pieces, or he’s not being allowed to play ?Not his fault.
