The ridicule is harsh but I don’t rate Jones for not wanting a move for himself and too prove himself. He seems happy sitting in the physio room and collecting his wage.
As soon as Smalling got the feeling he wouldn’t be playing much he wanted out.

Don't like seeing the abuse he's getting. Such a strange career though. I can't honestly say that even if he had no injuries that I think he'd be a top centre back despite some really promising performances in his first two years at United. I'm not joking when I say that whenever I see old United match highlights on youtube there's often a Phil Jones injury or, more often, a mistake by him somewhere and I think 'God, I didn't remember him doing that'. You'd think that with his injury record he wouldn't feature much but they're there.

Hope he goes to a new club like Evans and Smalling and does well and has a better career. If he could stay fit he'd be a good player for a smaller club.
