PGA and European Tour Golf 2016

And Rory just hit an awful shot, and Mickleson is 5 up! Madness.

BTW, Rory golf is ok for £15 mate. I played one round of Sawgrass on arcade mode and it's exactly the same as the old games, just much sharper graphics (except Rory himself who looks like something from The Walking Dead) but the variation of courses make it definitely worth buying if you miss the old Tiger Woods games.

Good to hear, will check it out at that price I reckon, cheers mate!

Yeah, can't go wrong for £15 I don't think. I am going to start a season soon, see how that goes, but mainly just bought it for a pick up and play type game, and it was great fun yesterday. Beautiful course, exactly how I remember and it played exactly how they used to. I know it will be tougher if you adjust the swing difficulty, and as I said, I was impressed with the many courses. It will be a nice break from all the other games I have, that I can't play :( as my concentration levels are awful at the moment, and, as you know, you can play the golf at whatever pace you want.

Didn't see the trophy room on it though, will be miffed if they have taken that out of the game.

I think the main criticism I saw of it was the lack of variety in the courses so from what you're saying they seem to have sorted that.

I picked up 'The Golf Club' when that came out and that's great fun too.

Hmm, without booting it up, there is at least 8 or 9 courses I can think of, agreed they are pretty much the same as they used to be, BUT! that's because of licencing fees and how difficult it is to code new ones. I haven't played TW since the PS3 so a good 4 years I would think, enough time to forget all the courses and be happy with them now. Also, the familiarity of Sawgrass was amazing! If you had played every TW from the last 5 or 10 years, then I could maybe see the gripe.

Yeah, me too, but I did play one on the PS3 can't remember which one though, but I loved it. You should love it really, if you liked the old ones it will be familiar enough to slip straight back in to, yet different enough to be impressed with the improvements, especially the graphics. The courses look immaculate.

Holy shit Phil Mickelson has the whitest forehead ever!

Sold!

He looks absolutely fooking ridiculous when he takes his cap off.

He needs to realise how old he is. Cut your damn hair, leftie.

I do like Phil though, he was one of my favourite players when I was younger, love his short game approach.

That was my type of shot, behind a tree, round it straight passed the green in to the bunker. Amazing, need to be an expert to do that shit.

Haha, in before the edit, congrats, speedy! I changed ps4 to ps3 (obviously)

Oi! He's not that old, ffs. :( And he's a genius. He also has forearms like a pro wrestler.
 no he's not old, but he's also not young enough for those flowing locks!

I modelled my short game on his when I was learning, love the floated lofted shots with soft landings. Requires a good touch but Christ once you master it it's incredible.

Older members at my club always used to try and lecture me about how I should 'bump and run' whenever possible, but I'd always just throw it up in the air and land it within a few feet like 'wut'

It's my favourite shot. And probably one of the only ones I could rely on last year. Especially if anything was between 40 and 80 yards that required a bit more force, I could just whack my lob wedge, straight up and down. Lovely. I hate bump and run.

Yea exactly, my old faithful 57° 'trusty rusty' wedge is my favourite club in the bag. Like having the ball on a string.

Yup, going to take the laptop upstairs and watch the rest in the bath, so obviously won't be replying. See you here tomorrow mate. :)

Feckin fuse or element has gone in the boiler :( And I can't get to it because it's next to the storage cupboard and I can't lift or move anything. So pissed off.

Sucks, that's what I get for living in such an old house though. Ah well, back to the golf.
That does indeed suck mate.

Lost touch with the golf a bit, just been talking to my mate in Denver, they've had 14" of snow

I really hope Jason Day's back is OK after yesterday.

Not only for this weekend, but also Augusta.

It's going to be some matchplay this weekend Scott, Spieth, Watson , McIlroy, Day, Mickelson,Snedeker, to name but a few and I for one absolutely love the set up and the course.

That match between Johnson and McIlroy was superb. Rory played some good golf but time and time again, Johnson forced his way back in. Forcing each other to make every putt and every dropped shot punished. Rory afterwards saying neither of them played their best stuff but that was great matchplay.

fecking Sky box has just lost signal

Stupid shitty weather affected satellite dish.

Edit: and it's back, internet ranting obviously works!

That happened to me a couple of years ago. The Masters, Heineken Cup QF's and United-City were all on the same weekend. I booked it off, stocked the fridge with a crate of beer and enough meat for 6 barbecues and settled in for 3 days of bliss. Friday night at 7pm I start getting interruptions and by 9pm it was gone. Fecked all weekend and the perfect again on Monday morning at 7am.
