PGA and European Tour Golf 2016

Right come on then, my memory is failing, and I know you should know this. Who was the Asian golfer who was around on tour roughly the same time as K.J. Choi. Lovely chap, always laughing and smiling, and like KJ had the ability to hit iron shots and make them drop about an inch from the hole. He was one of my favourite golfers to watch back then on the US Tour. I'm sure he won a couple of tour events, but also sure he never won a major. Any ideas?

Hmmmm, Shigeki Maruyama?

Hmmmm, Shigeki Maruyama?

Yup! That's the one. What a quality player he was when he was on form. Always bloody smiling as well. I watched him smack a drive dead left in to a lake when he was leading a tournament and he just smiled and shrugged his shoulders. It was as if he had holed it.

Cheers mate, knew you would remember. :)

I'll be honest there was a little googling involved, but I do remember him.

Fair enough. I think it's Hideki Matsuyama's name keeps reminding me of him.

I think I've seen Rory hit more provisional balls than anyone else in the entire time I've been watching golf. It's insane.

Golf porn, ffs.

Bet Tiger Woods is in the sequel.

So Spieth underhit his putt and :) overhit his.

Who the feck calls their kid Smylie? I reckon there is a fair bet they were wasted when they named him.

Interesting fact that makes me feel old, Langer won his first Masters 8 years before Spieth was born, and his second the year Spieth was born. :wenger:

These greens are a joke. One minute you can't stop the ball and it flies 20ft past the hole and the next minute they wont roll at all. Make no sense at all.

It's close for me between Augusta and Sawgrass.

I'd probably opt for Augusta though.

I've played Sawgrass and Pebble Beach. Well not really but close enough.

PGA Tour Golf 1991?

Very nice. I am going to try to play more abroad when I get better. Now I've given up smoking I need to spend the cash on something. :)
When I've plucked up the courage to explain to the missus that I'm spending £300 on a new driver (and your stupid health is better) we should arrange a game.

Bored of Speith now. Can't he just hit it into some water and spice this up.

I like Spieth but I hope Danny and Lee can pick up some birdies quick and keep it interesting.

Spieth has got this wrapped up, no way will he hit anymore bad shots or make anymore bogeys/double bogeys or triples not a chance. NOONAN!
