'Pep' Guardiola sack watch

Who's their equivalent? Pick a city legend.

Give it wanchope until end of the season.

They really are a diddy little club with no history.
One of the holy trinity of legends they roll out on every big occasion:

Micah Richards
Noel Gallagher
Steph Houghton

Just seen his comments about another team maybe deserving to win it this year, seeing as they've won 6 out of 7.

The arrogance is just unbelievable. They don't deserve to win any leagues at all due to the blatant cheating.

Fail to beat Liverpool and that's any chance they have of retaining title gone this soon in the season and Man City have a dreadful record in Anfield. A few injuries and Pep simply shown up to be not as good as some thought he was.
This happened to them the season Laporte got injured and they had no backup and you knew it's their season done. I think everyone knew it'd going to be the same once again the second Rodri got injured.

Biggest downfall at the moment is that for someone so good at creating all-conquering midfields we are painfully short in that department now. Allowed a chunk of the squad to get old together. I still think he's gonna get it right though, but might be approaching the stage where a 2nd or 3rd place and a cup run is a decent season. After 4 in a row, you have to put your hands up and say we can't win every year.

But I think he will stay one more year. I can say with certainy though that this 2-week form-dip has nothing to do with his future though.
His contract ends next summer, you think he'll extend for one more year to try and leave with another PL title (this season looks unlikely)?

4 leagues in a row is really difficult to do so another one-off season like 19/20 wouldn't be a surprise. Hard to find motivation for players + Rodri's injury.

Spurs is surely a must win and then a draw at Anfield would be great atm.

Can't enjoy yours run of losses when it's Liverpool making the most of it.

I half-expect him to do another year because of the logistics of the Club World Cup. I also think there is some project players in this squad I think he wants to continue develop. But that might be too romantic thinking.

Then again, I have no idea if his mindset should dictate another year. If he himself thinks his cycle has come to an end it would be better for everybody to part ways. We know from earlier in his tenure that he can rebuild teams very quickly, but if his heart isn't in it he can leave whenever he wants. He owes us absolutely nothing, put it that way.

1999 heroes?

Look no further than Paul Dickov and Kevin Horlock.

In 1999 Utd were scoring late goals to win the Champions league in the Nou Camp. Those two were scoring late goals to bring the league 1 playoff final to extra time. Which they won on penalties thanks to Richard Edghill and Nicky Weaver. City were apparently on the brink of financial ruin had they lost that playoff.

The next two league games could determine if they’re going to be sniffing about the league or not this season.

Spurs at home and Liverpool away.

Win vs Spurs and a draw at Anfield or we're completely cooked. You guys are a different beast under Slot.

Seems like the sacking of one bald manager reduced his power. If Slot gets replaced at some point then he's done.

I think the switching of hairful and bald managers between rivals Liverpool and United, has created a disturbance in the force around bald rival managers ti thr rivals (Pep/Dych). Just a theory, though.

I’m curious to see how Slot tackles that game. That’s a huge week for us. City at home 4pm Sunday, Newcastle away Wednesday evening and then Everton away early kick off on Saturday. Could drop points in all three if we’re not careful.

Pep is the best around, they cannot sack him even if he finished outside top4 which he won’t. I’d love to see the noise if they lose to spurs and Liverpool though.
