If de gea is available for free next summer Barcelona would be mad not to be after him , he is a level above both there keepers and wouldn't cost them a penny other than wages .
His fiance would not allow him to move to Barcelona. She wants him in Madrid and that's where he's supposed to be.

They have Ter Stegen.

Their signings can't play until January, so they'd be relying on just Bravo and youth until then. Otherwse, De Gea for Ter Stegen as a swap would have been a great move for both parties.

Goalkeeping is the last position we need to make any changes too. Its already hard to choose between Ter Stegen and Bravo.

There are subplots to this saga that many fans aren't appreciating, the Sport claim is at the heart of the biggest one - the utter disdain for this shite board

It would be quite funny if Barcelona bid before the deadline and united accepted . That would leave ddg to publicly state that he wants to move to Madrid , which up to now he has not admitted too .

If there was no gentleman's agreement in place, we'd gladly pay well over 30mil. Weird but I guess pedro has assured us that he won't change his mind and thus we're looking to save some money.

Breaking news: Naymar furious that he is playing more than Pedro.

Is Pedro being treated bad by Barca? It just seems he's not good enough to get into the first time, why are they being painted as the bad guys?

I'm struggling with that myself. Not sure they could have behaved any differently? Unless they're quibbling over this "gentleman's agreement"? Perhaps it didn't differentiate between up front and staged payments?

Not to mention he was willing to sign a contract extension only a few months ago. So why is the Barca board bad? I'm frankly just curious here.

Would it not allow us to go for KDB? If city did get Pedro then KDB could be our next target, who knows he could actually be the main target.

Who knows what's happening behind the scenes. I hope its not a situation where we're pursuing an unattainable player like Bale or Ronaldo and wind up missing out on Pedro.

Like Moyes did with Fabregas 2 seasons ago, hopefully not. Bale would be a dream signing but its not happening this season, if he has another bad season we could go for him and get him at a reduced price.

WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN

We’ve just had an update from our reporter Bryan Swanson about the future of Kevin De Bruyne.

He said an agreement has still yet to be agreed between Manchester City and Wolfsburg although there is a deal of £47m on the table.

Sources close to De Bruyne tell us tonight he remains focussed and happy at his club.
From Sky Sports, looks like City are only interested in KdB, no one other than a few Spanish tabloids mentioning them in the race for Pedro.

How is it as usual?
Fellaini - dithering and then paying MORE than the release clause
Fabregas - dithering for weeks / months and losing other targets
Ottamendi - dithering and thinking he could sign Ramos
Herrera - dithering and delaying the signing for 12 months
I could go on

3 of those under the Moyes reign of terror when he was new in the job. Otamendi we don't even know for sure whether we're actually in for him.

Try again

Go on but get your facts right first.

Woodward's been quite sharp with our business this window.

Memphis right at the end of the season, Bastian, Darmian, Schneiderlin all sealed right before the USA Tour.

Now Pedro looks to be another on that list just as there seems to be some unrest with him at the Barcelona camp. Hard to decipher if we were ever in for Otamendi but yeah, all in all. Solid and relatively sharp business.
