Tell that to Scholes, Mata or Silva.I know it sounds abit stupid but it puts me off that he's 5,5 height. He will get eaten alive in the Prem

I agree to some degree but Mata's biggest weakness is his strength and that's what holds him back and stops him being a world beater. Pedro might get away with it just because of his pace but he isn't as good as the players you mention In my opinion.Tell that to Scholes, Mata or Silva.
In today's market £22m is a steal.
He's an excellent player. Di Maria is of course the better of the two but I am resigned to him leaving now.
It isn't that for me.
As I see it, he's someone that excels at movement and being at the end of chances. Always more of a goalscorer than a winger that will beat defenders to open up a game or create chances for others. We need the second type of with winger, not the first.
I think he's quality. One of the best finishers in the game. Always picks out a corner.
There's a big difference between a better player (Di Maria) and a player who makes a team better (Pedro).
This is very true - and it's very easy to forget. There's a big difference between a better player (Di Maria) and a player who makes a team better (Pedro).
I like him but signing him would surely mean di Maria is off?
Signing him and keeping Di Maria might be overkill IMO. Unless we loan Januzaj and/or Wilson.
If we sign him and keep all our attacking players, then we will have Young, Depay, Di Maria, Fellaini, Januzaj, Mata, Hernandez, Rooney, Pedro and Wilson fighting for four positions. I think that 2 players for a position is ideal, but 2.5 is a bit too much IMO. Especially considering that one of those positions goes by default to Rooney, which means 9 players for the other 3 positions.
Possibly the best idea is to sign Pedro, loan both Januzaj and Wilson and then have two quality player for each positions.
I have a feeling though, that he'll come as Di Maria replacement. Not as good as Di Maria at his best, but he'll be very suited to our posession based system, while Angel is more suited to a counter attacking team.
Seems to be the general consensus on here that Di Maria's only world-class season was one in which he played a kind a hybrid left-midfield role. As a wide forward though, surely Pedro has shown more throughout his career? He's ridiculously two-footed, a great finisher with great positional instincts, and above all (when comparing him to wingers like Di Maria or Nani) consistent. And given that LVG quite obviously does not intend to play Di Maria in midfield, surely this move would make perfect sense (i.e. letting Di Maria go to PSG for most of our money back).

Fairly certain we are playing 433 this year so it's actually only 3 positions!
Is it just me or did anyone else feel he disappeared into the wilderness after his goal against us in the CL final?
Has Pedro ever played up front before ?
Undoubtedly. Di Maria, Depay, Young, Pedro, Mata and Januzaj competing for two positions? No chance.I like him but signing him would surely mean di Maria is off?
Really? I can't see him leading the line at all, way too small and lightweight.I'd be far more comfortable with Pedro as a striker of Rooney is injured than anyone else in our squad.
