I think he would have been good here but I'm not overly dissapointed........I will be if thats it for our summer window though.
I must be the only one who thinks it's done and he's ours?
As I said before they were linked to him before we wereJust reading through some Chelsea forums, they seem pretty confident they were going get him quite while back..
Good !Thread will be closed soon!
We've had personal terms agreed with him for ages. We knew what the fee was but didn't want to pay it and so haggled for a month. It'll be billed as him choosing Chelsea over us but it's more we weren't certain and/or didn't think he was worth his buyout.
Agreed - unless our club is run by children who worry most about what their friends will say about them in the playground.
Just checked BBC on my lunch break and cannot believe what I'm reading.
What the fcuk is going on? I'd bet Valdes advised Pedro to avoid Van Gaal like a fecking plague.
Or he could fed up waiting for us to cough up a small amount and went to a club that made him feel wanted.BBC says it is just a 21M deal. So I guess it is not about money. Most likely Pedro simply jumped when champions came calling.
LvG said it was on Pedro so I don't believe that at all.
Like a stilted lover we can go around saying we ended things to maintain our manhood but everyone else will know the truth.

If this was 5 years back I'd agree, but given the way we operate under the Lvg and Woodward era, can't see this being the case. 30 million on Shaw, 57 on Di Maria, we are no longer stingy. If we refused to pay up it's because we were convinced, either by the player or by the players' desire. More likely the latter as the player is excellent.Or he could fed up waiting for us to cough up a small amount and went to a club that made him feel wanted.
I won't. I think he's a quality player. Not quite a world beater, but one notch below and better than our right wing options. It'll be interesting to see how many people will change their tune about Pedro when he signs for Chelsea. It's a big loss for us as I think he's have been brilliant here. Not sure how Chelsea will use him but ah well - they'll have a cracking player on their books.
Seems Mata will be our main right winger after all. He's a very good footballer but simply doesn't give us the pace and dribbling quality we need on the right.Fecking gutted. When I saw Memphis playing like he did yesterday, I was salivating at the prospect of having a player who can create the same kind of havoc on the opposite flank. With Pedro gone, I really don't know how we can build that 4-man attack capable of hitting from all angles.

We fecked up the Ronaldinho deal the exact same way. When the hell will we learn...
Haggling over a couple million and then end up with egg on our face. Fecking typical.

Yeah yeah feck em. We've got turn back Tony on the right anywayIts OK we "didn't want them anyway"
Pedroff.
Ramos. Otamendi. Pedro. Is there any thread left to jump ship to?

And then what? The player's desire to play for us vanished for no reason? You talk as if we approach other teams even if the player is unsure of us. I don't know what caused us to refuse to buy him, if that is the case which is being rumored. If this was 5 years back I'd agree, but given the way we operate under the Lvg and Woodward era, can't see this being the case. 30 million on Shaw, 57 on Di Maria, we are no longer stingy. Smokescreen for Greizmann? now Chelsea are no longer in for him
the worst part about these failed transfer sagas is this /\ brunt of the jokes from Rivals. Why are Chelsea so efficient. From now on, I want Ed Woodward to be involved in all Chelsea transfer deals. Good man.
