Not related to Pogba but who are the other two "colleagues" that JM was talking about that were talking about United?
Wenger and Klopp commenting on the Pogba transfer. Frenchman said it's insane and german said it's insane+the day he would buy someone as expensive is the day he quits he game or whatever.

Not sure about the second, but Wenger did comment about Pogba and the fee and said it was insane or something of the sort.

Edit: Aah yes, as @Kevin pointed out, Klopp was the other... Hilarious statement by him.

So Demba's brother, Pog, would be able to get a Pogba 6 shirt then? Lucky bast. :nervous:

Cheers for the answers. Sounds like bitterness from them two. Both can't afford to if they wanted to. Pool couldn't attrack 100mil players.

Wenger was quite diplomatic, he said something along the line of 'it's insane unless you can afford it, it's huge compared to the ordinary'

If we plan to use him next to Pogba in a defensive role, we're screwed.

Depending on form and opposition, Herrera/Schneiderlin/Carrick/Blind/TFM is a fantastic pool to choose from for only 1 position.

I think that there are games where Mourinho may choose to use both, probably in a three alongside Carrick against the likes of West Ham

Every player we have that counts as home grown (according the rules of the PL, that all the PL clubs agreed to when the rule was set up) is a good thing in that it gives us more flexibility when it comes to meeting the rules each season.

I remember when the rule was first announced, the clubs were given a years notice, plus they had all been involved in agreeing to the rule. There were a lot of people who thought clubs were going to have a difficult time complying with the rules, I think Arsenal was a popular target at the time. End of the day, I don't think there have been many issues with clubs meeting the rule.

We are getting off topic, but it's an important rule. After all, has Arsenal ever won the EPL with this rule in place?

We are United, we do not strive for "ordinary". Plus United have made the money fair and square, unlike certain oil clubs, so I have no problems with splashing it on quality.

I've never seen any of these 'refusing to print x name' stories hold up anywhere.

In my experience, shop staff will print any shite you want as long as you pay the money. My brother, for instance, is not Mandingo, but i bought him a shirt that said he was once.
Didn't they also do this for Ibrahimovich? A guy went in before it was confirmed, asking for Ibra's name on the back, and they said that they can't do it until it's confirmed by the club.

Other clubs or managers talking crap about us is nothing more than flattering to me. If they have nothing better to do than talk about Manchester United then oh well.
I think the price is right for Pogba. Sometimes you have to spend money to make money. Its dragging on but it's pretty much a done deal.

I like the look of our squad. I like Jose's attitude and confidence. I don't see any reason why we could not challenge for the league.

Mandingo

But there was actually a Swedish reporter who tried to have his shirt printed with Ibrahimovic, and as you can see in the following video/article, they actually required to see ID. But that didn't stop us from signing him anyway.

Nor do I.

I just don't think Wenger said anything that he shouldn't have. Klopp's statement on the Pogba transfer was a little less pragmatic though.

I wasn't arguing against you, just making a point ... I agree his comments were OK. It's a high amount, but then there's more money than ever floating around.

He wont talk about Sir Pogba of House Neighbor.

Wont talk about him yet he specifically names him. Lol. Allergri would be well within his right to complain about some unethical colleague talking about his players.

Juve apparently don't work on transfers on the weekends so it will be next week

I think that has been proven to be incorrect.

Plus as the buying team, surely it would be down to us?

Still expect him to be announced by Sunday as this is when he should be back in training with Juve.

The reporter named him when he asked him the question.

Mourinho: "Yes, there will be a big signing. We have 22 players and we will have 23. He is a Juventus player until officially he is not."

Watched the whole press conference. He made a very reassuring nod when he said "yes yes". Me balls went all tingly.

Its definitely Pogba and its going to happen before the start of the Premier League.

Maybe they will parachute him into Wembley right before we celebrate lifting the Community Shield

We will be lucky to see him as a sub v Southampton. He wont be match fit.

Probably away to Hull.
Pity. I have tickets for the match this Sunday and the Friday night home game vs Southampton. Was hoping to see me some Pog.

You sound like LVG

The lad is fit as a whistle and probably has 2% body fat judging by his one on one basketball video with lukaku.

I think he should be able to be thrown into the deep end. Especially considering he doesnt really need to get used to his "new" surroundings! At least thats the hope!

2 weeks of full training? He'll be fine to be a sub at the very least. He is most likely keeping fit over the summer and he seems like a very fit person anyway so it's not like when Rooney would come back clearly lacking fitness. Wouldn't be surprised if he started against Southampton. Bournemouth is too soon though.

It makes sense tho. Ibrahimovic, Pogba, Messi, Ronaldo - all those names are registered trademarks. United is a big institution and wouldn't want to face legal issues with printing those names on official shirts.

He named him because the reporter asked him whats the latest on POGBA.

Too bad it is Friday match. Our first one too.

I am at the Sot'on game aswell. I wouldn't mind a bit of Pog that night as well.

Really? I didnt think it was that big a deal.
