Okay, I got some information on Paul Pogba. Its not a done deal, so dont get to excited, but the interest is 100% genuine. And, we are the front leaders, before Real Madrid. United are going to show the football world that we are above all others and that we can kill off all competition. The Hollywood player is very much alive.

I'd love Pogba, and this sounds promising but far from anything to get too excited about. Nothing to say it's likely to happen.

Hmmm... Just few days ago Spoony was saying something about moods in Manchester being confident that the club can get the player.

The important thing is that we are going for him and will go far to complete the deal. We are usually being bullied by Real Madrid, but this time we will not be. The only concern is Juventus or that Pogba prefer Real Madrid.

Think he was certain about Mourinho for months in advance (claimed by his same sources). People called him a bullshitter but in the end Mourinho came.

I think most of people in world football knew about Mourinho in January-February though.

Zlatan the writing was on the wall early too.

Not saying Acquire Me isn't reliable but sources from Norway? I'd rather hope someone closer to Manchester would know, unless Acquire knows Solskjær.

Great news. Hopefully our offer will be too good for Juve to refuse.

Just sounds like every other transfer to be honest, surely it comes down to the players preference in the end, assuming the club is willing to sell.

Its money and Pogba does seem to like Manchester and Mourinho. Real Madrid will have to digg deep to match us. At this point, its up to Juventus and the Pogba entourage.
@Acquire Me you are the best! If we can really be in front of Madrid it would be massive news...

I don't understand. So the transfer is up to Juve and the player? Isn't that every transfer ever made?

Acquire me has already explained how and why he knows those info. And yes, it's quite close to United...

If this happens it would arguably be the best transfer summer of any football team ever.

If this concern is not addressed then we are still in trouble though.

Well, it could have been paper bullshit. We are actually going for him and we are in the lead. Thats something isn't it?

I just cannot see this happening. Unless I hear from Pogba's mouth something the hints towards this I can't believe any of it, he'll be a Madrid player.

While he's not worth a record breaking fee I don't really care what we spend to sign him, I don't even care that he was once on our books we're not the first club to resign a previous player for more than what they were let go for and we won't be the last

It simply means United are miles over the typical 'preparing the bid' phase and financially offering everything what's needed to complete the deal.

I think it's only fair to say that we need to permanently ban @Acquire Me and chase him through the streets if Pogba doesn't sign now.

Read a report the other day saying he wanted to play in a better league...surely the Premier league from top to bottom is more competitive than La Liga....but I still doubt he wants to come back...I think he has his heart set on RM which is odd since really thats a two club league.

Haha well he hasn't said done deal.... by if he ever does say its done, I will believe him

You're probably right. And if he is heading to Madrid it would be far better that it's wrapped up quickly.

Unfortunately, however, it's far more likely that it'll be the usual story of it dragging on and on until the final days of the transfer window.

Another case of the 'it's the hope that kills you' etc etc.

But shouldn't we know by now if Pogba wants to come? If not no point in chasing this deal.

I agree in some ways there should be some inclination.

It's probably difficult to know because of wage negotiations.

Doubt it, you are either interested or you aren't. You say make me an offer? then from that point you negotiate wages.

Transfers personal terms and wages are the last part of the negotiation.

I'm personally quite cynical over the deal, I don't believe a marketing agency is a major source but I hope it's a case of me being proved wrong.

Pogba is one of the biggest egos in football in my eyes, and will he swallow that ego to come back to a club he left on bad terms?

The only thing I find a little encouraging is that the press in Madrid are not really big'n up the transfer as they were a few weeks back. Now they are even saying things like Perez doesn't really like him that much.
Doesn't mean Real won't sign him, but I don't think they are confident as they usually are, or at least thought they would be a few weeks back

Never hurts a player's negotiations to have multiple clubs making offers.

Mourinho has spoken to him, but then so has Zidane...

You should atleast know by verbal communication if he is interested or not.

Example:

Mourinho: "I want you to join Manchester United and be a vital player for this team, I'll pay you whatever it takes, and I'll make sure we pay a fee to Juventus that both clubs are happy with, are you interested?"

If he starts saying "I'm not sure" then don't bother. You want a player that is 100% committed to the club and its plans or its not worth a world record fee.

I don't want United paying a world record fee if he wants to play for another team.
