Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Ideal muppet scenario:

We buy Pogba
Kante quickly realizes that these guys means business, signs for us the following week so he can play with his homies Poggers, Schneid and Martial

That would be a very interesting scenario, but Schneiderlin can play as Kante so far. But yeah, never saying no to those stuff.

We can only hope. So much for the Mou appointment making Mendes our defacto director of football
It's interesting isn't it, almost like mendes letting renato Sanches go to Bayern REALLY pissed off Woodward or mourinho. They've dropped mendes and told raiola they want a buy 2 get 1 deal

Don't blame Woodward at all for that, now Mendes will have to get back into our good books by giving us Fabinho.

If we buy Pogba for a crazy fee more questions will be asked of Ferguson as to why he was let go on a free. The fact is, it's incredibly poor business to let a player go for free and buy him back for a world record transfer just 4 years later.

Pogba isn't worth it either.

That discussion has been done to death and everyone acknowledges Ferguson dropped the ball with Pogba. But that has nothing to do with Woodward or Mourinho, and if we feel Pogba is the right man to improve our team then that's who we should buy.

Also he really is worth it. He's a fantastic player.

It is better to correct our mistakes than sitting there and saying it is poor business.

No, letting him go and buying him now are two separate discussions. Simply because the people involved in the two pieces of business are different.

Add Pogba to the signings we've already made (including Mourinho) and we'd be favourites for the title. That's worth the fee comfortably.

Besides, even if we spend a hundred million on him; if you had said last year that we'd get Zlatan, Mkhitaryan and Pogba for 120 million we'd all have took it, surely?

I could just see us buying him and the huge price tag hanging over him all the way through the season. He would score the odd wonder goal but never really dominate games. I could see it now people quickly turning against him.

Don't get me wrong - if this transfer happened I would be happy as he is still young, but in this case such a huge fee would be a burden, especially when we let him go for nothing. I am simply outlining my reservations about it. Maybe my scepticism has come with our recent record in the transfer market. Personally, I would prefer Kante but obviously I would take Pogba. Jose would be the man to bring a player like this on.

Surely even the sceptics can see we are totally in for him and are trying our best to sign him. Would love him back, hope we land him.

The lad is, what? 22-23 years old.
If he gets in for so much money, his value won't drop in the next 5-6 years.
Even if he so badly wants to go to Madrid he could command a huge transfer fee. Which would only mean a minor loss. But it won't really be a loss, considering all the shirt sales he would generate, the fact that we would have a tremendous player in the middle of the midfield and most probably he would play a key role in bringing titles.

He is a very key part of the puzzle Mourinho's trying to put together. It would make us Champions League contenders.

From a logical perspective, if Castles really is a Mourinho mouthpiece, what purpose does it serve Mourinho to brief that? Surely you'd want it kept under wraps until it's finalised in case it goes wrong?

If we win the CL next season Mourinho will be hailed as a God. In fact, it'll be his next job.

Found this interesting Nostradamus prophecy this morning. I'm convinced.....

Century IX

In the house of the translator of Bourg,
The letters will be found on the table,
One-eyed, red-haired, white, hoary-headed will hold the course,
Which will change for the new Constable.

In the house of the translator Bourg (in france)
- Obviously a reference to Pogba's nationality. The translator would be Twitter's 'Gianluca Di Marzio'.

The letters will be found on the table.
- Letters to mean contract and finalised agreement(s).

One-eyed, red-haired, white, hoary-headed.
- Determined. Main focus. Obviously red haired refers to the Glazers.
- Hoary-haired means greying hair or aging. That's a clear reference to Mourinho who has at last come to us in his maturing years to 'hold the course', which means to see through the Pogba deal til the end.

New constable is a direct prophecy relating to the legalities of the agreement.

It's fecking on! Nostradamus said so...... muppets, you may commence muppeting

He also said Mourinho had decided against Ibrahimovic and wanted a younger striker, for what it's worth.

One-eyed could also refer to Pogba having one eye on each side of his face.

He also said Mourinho had decided against Ibrahimovic and wanted a younger striker, for what it's worth.
Didn't he say Mourinho would move for a younger striker unless Zlatan lowered his wages? And in his new article it says Zlatan lowered his wage demand in order to come here.

Pogba is the Constable, he will patrol our midfield.

I'm still seeing people saying it's embarrassing for the club to bring him back for so much money.

Did Mourinho mishandle him and let him go? Did Woodward mess up contract negotiations with him? Everyone concerned with the whole scenario is no longer in a position of power and the new men want to bring him in. They've nothing to be ashamed of, it wasn't their decision to let him go.

No, just that we "explored the possibility" and held talk with Raiola but would now look elsewhere for a young top striker. My basic thing with Castles is that he sometimes no doubt does get fed stuff by Mendes, but much of the time he just bullshits and guesses his way along like most other journos.

From a logical perspective, if Castles really is a Mourinho mouthpiece, what purpose does it serve Mourinho to brief that? Surely you'd want it kept under wraps until it's finalised in case it goes wrong?
It's public knowledge now that we are after him, won't make much difference. I'm sure Raiola already informed Madrid and Juve that we are interested and willing to pay a few dollars for him. We can most likely rule PSG out considering his father said he wants to play in a more competitive league which only leaves us, Madrid and maybe City in the running, nobody else can afford him really.

I tried so hard to resist but bloody muppet season always reels me in.

I suppose, I'm surprised at the lack of any links to Barcelona, I suppose maybe they can't compete financially at this moment in time.

For how much tho? It's not like we unearthed a hidden gem? He was well known to those that follow football outside of the prem league

Easy to say now, but he was no common name. Far from it. He was much less known than Benzema for example while at Lyon.

That's it exactly, they are in huge debt from what I've read/heard. They simply can't afford him at this moment in time.
