Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

With all due respect to New Castle, I believe if a toon fan approached Pogba and asked him to sign New Castle jersey, he would totally sign it. Also, he would reply back with a smile and/or a 'let's see' if the New Castle fan quizzed him about joining New Castle. It's called being nice to football fans who are crazy about you. We should really stop looking too much into footballers signing clothes and/or footballs and their diplomatic replies. That goes for the previous incident of Pogba signing a United shirt as well.

But I want to talk about facts. I want to be clear, I do not want to play mind games. But I have seen some facts:-

In United's favour:-
1. Di Marzio and his staff confident that he will join United. They haven't started backtracking either (not yet at least).
2. We're literally not being linked to any other midfielder or a player and the season is almost here. Mourinho said he has identified 'four' targets and would have surely made a move if he wasn't sure of Pogba.
3. Sky joining the bandwagon as well with recent reports.
4. Pogba's own agent never said Pogba will stay as Juve and continuously said "no agreement is reached". His club hasn't come out and denied it either.
5. Juve have been spending money. Sh*t ton of money.

In Juve's favour:-
1. His holidays is going a bit too long for someone who is supposed to join a new team and get going with the adapting process/training. It could yet swing in Juve's favour if an agreement isn't reached.
2. Juve are a great team on current form and a better prospect than United at the moment.

In Real's favour:-
1. Real didn't mind throwing CL final deciding Di Maria for a more marketable James Rodriguez. They would surely want something as shiny as Paul Pogba. When have they ever been the ones to think about a player's price tag? Could it be that they are lurking in the shadows for United to do all the discussions and reach an agreement on a final bid and then matching it up? (But this is more of a conjecture than a fact)

Going by these facts, I think Mourinho will get Pogba. Something I didn't think would be possible when rumors started back in July.

Morning muppets

Does anyone think we'll actually get any significant news today? Or just another day of Pogba fecking around on holiday not giving a shite (aka 'the David Moyes') while we all fall over ourselves wondering when the hell this saga will end?

Well that's that then - Pogba, in a comprehensive, frank and hard hitting interview with Italian Football TV confirms that he is staying at Juventus.

The French football star, previously linked with a move to Manchester United, also told presenters that he was looking forward to a successful Champions League campaign with the Serie A side.
Phenomenal input.

I doubt it.

I don't think we hear anything new until Pogba's holiday is finished.

I think anyone would be very tempted with the offer of a new castle.

Well put, I can see why you got fast tracked from the newbie's section (is it still there?).

Just one more thing to add, although it does look like Pogba is very close to joining United today but looking at De Gea's transfer saga last summer, until you don't see an official statement by the club that a player is signed, literally anything is possible in the transfer market.

He hasn't sign. A deal of this magnitude wont be sign in a backdoor hotel. There'll be fanfare when he signs, tv, reporter etc

You think the actual signing of a contract would take place in front of journalists and TV?

Even then... Remember we announced fee agreed for ramsay pending a medical.

Indeed, he was leaving all summer and he planned too but if you let things drag on, and on and on and on, at some point you will reach the deadline and it might not happen. We have everything to gain by hurrying this thing up.

People here are still debating wether he is coming to us?

As long as he signed, he isn't a United player.

It is very likley to happen but this, it is 100% done and dusted attitude, should not be on display until he has actually fecking signed. Or Until United say a deal will happen very soon or until Juve or Pogba or Raiola say it, hell I'll even take the BBC's word if they say it is 100% done, then we can talk like this. Until then please remember anything can happen.

Yeah I agree. so much balance in that side. Its suits the selected players in that they are all picked in their best positions (Martial will eventually move inside) and all have players around them that supplement each other.

Unfortunaltey, we all know what will happen. We'll restrict our £100m world record signing, drop Herrera and play or talismanic, creative, fans favourite and inspirational leader.
:lol::lol::lol:
Wonder who might that be ...

Paul Pogba to snub Manchester United as he tells Juventus fans he's staying in Italy

THE French midfielder was expected to seal his £100million move to Old Trafford shortly but has now made the shock admission on Italian TV.

The French international is still expected to complete his world record £100million move from Juventus to Old Trafford shortly but not before he demonstrated his kickboxing skills and told a fan he's staying in Turin.

The transfer saga of the summer rumbles on as his move to England hasn't been completed and he made Red Devilssupporters sweat after telling Italian TV he may well be staying in Serie A.

It would be a stunning turnaround as the whole world expects Pogba to sign for Manchester United as the signature player in the Jose Mourinho revolution.

Funny how we have a transfer saga that drags on and on every year, yet other clubs quietly get on with signing their targets. We are either jinxed or incompetent.

People are actually believing that?!

I can't see Pogba being announced today because of Rooney's testimonial so it is likely to be Thursday or early next week after the Community Shield match.

Imo its the last twist in the saga to produce some momentum again. He will have his medical on Friday at the least. There is too much smoke.

Haha, i love how they use "Italian TV" to make it seem like it was on a national broadcast, when the Italian TV in question is actually just the name of a youtube channel with 2000 odd subscribers ran by 2 guys

People here are still debating wether he is coming to us?

What's funny about that?
We have a player, involved with 2 clubs and nobody is saying anything. This is the sort of thing which happens when a player is not leaving or the player/clubs are not sure.
If/when a player is leaving, he usually starts singing the praises of the new club he wants to move to, which he hasn't.

Also, the continuous "he will sign in x hours", which is tweeted almost everyday is getting tiresome.
Bale had a long (World Record) transfer saga, but he made it absolutely clear that he wanted to move. It was made clear that Bale wanted to leave Spurs. And that Spurs were happy to sell for the right price.
This has not been case with Pogba.

On the other side of the argument we have Di Marzio saying that the deal is done.
We also know that Pogba has been signing MUFC jerseys.

The rumour was that he would sign last Friday. Many muppets swore blind to this time table, laid down by a journalist. Once the deadlilne passed, the same muppets started interpretting the same tweet in a different way, to suit their hypothesis.

Personally, I think there is a more than 50% chance that Pogba will come to MUFC (there is too much smoke/noise about that move), but the player is not signed and like we saw with DDG, last minute hitches can put an end to a transfer.
