Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Can we threadban anyone who is apparently 'bored' of the saga? Seems a big help to them since they're so unentertained.

Hopefully this gets completed tomorrow. I think if there wasn't certainty from our side he's coming, we'd have moved onto other targets. Think it's a done deal, just want it to be officially announced!

Starting to think this signing is a bad idea.

If Pogba really wanted to join United he'd have cut short his fecking holiday by now. Yes he may have been granted an extended break by Juventus, but the Premier League begins earlier than Serie A. If he was committed to the move he'd have been happy to return earlier and get some preparation time under his belt.

The constant instagram updates, the stupid trolling posts, the basketball, the pool parties... it's all got a bit annoying. The guy's clearly in love with himself and United can do without another mega-ego.

I know the deal makes sense from a financial perspective, but from a football point of view we can get someone just as effective for far less money.

Another muppet bites the dust.

They've been dropping like flies since Friday.

Name them, go on. So far when people have said that, the list of Pogba alternatives have been quite frankly laughable.

Not sure about that

With all due respect to New Castle, I believe if a toon fan approached Pogba and asked him to sign New Castle jersey, he would totally sign it. Also, he would reply back with a smile and/or a 'let's see' if the New Castle fan quizzed him about joining New Castle. It's called being nice to football fans who are crazy about you. We should really stop looking too much into footballers signing clothes and/or footballs and their diplomatic replies. That goes for the previous incident of Pogba signing a United shirt as well.

But I want to talk about facts. I want to be clear, I do not want to play mind games. But I have seen some facts:-

In United's favour:-
1. Di Marzio and his staff confident that he will join United. They haven't started backtracking either (not yet at least).
2. We're literally not being linked to any other midfielder or a player and the season is almost here. Mourinho said he has identified 'four' targets and would have surely made a move if he wasn't sure of Pogba.
3. Sky joining the bandwagon as well with recent reports.
4. Pogba's own agent never said Pogba will stay as Juve and continuously said "no agreement is reached". His club hasn't come out and denied it either.
5. Juve have been spending money. Sh*t ton of money.

In Juve's favour:-
1. His holidays is going a bit too long for someone who is supposed to join a new team and get going with the adapting process/training. It could yet swing in Juve's favour if an agreement isn't reached.
2. Juve are a great team on current form and a better prospect than United at the moment.

In Real's favour:-
1. Real didn't mind throwing CL final deciding Di Maria for a more marketable James Rodriguez. They would surely want something as shiny as Paul Pogba. When have they ever been the ones to think about a player's price tag? Could it be that they are lurking in the shadows for United to do all the discussions and reach an agreement on a final bid and then matching it up? (But this is more of a conjecture than a fact)

Going by these facts, I think Mourinho will get Pogba. Something I didn't think would be possible when rumors started back in July.

just curious, why do you call 'Newcastle' by the name 'New Castle'?

Muppet breakdown confirmed.

Italian TV? It's been recorded on a mobile phone, ffs.

Di Marzio, Nerozzi, Laudisa all say it's done. Thats all you need to know.

I had a go at @Randall Flagg for saying something similar but am coming round to the idea he could maybe do a bit more to make this happen. Or at the very least, do a bit more to make sure he's ready for a season that starts much sooner than Serie A.

such as?

I think the club owes the fans some update on this deal which is bordering to the ridiculous. How slow can we be?

*Opens thread, see'

I can't watch video, does he actually say "I am staying at Juve" in a convincing tone?

No. He says "yes yes" like a man who wants to be away from two strangers as quickly as possible. They could have asked him anything and he'd have responded the same probably.

No he seemed impatient and kept his head down mumbling yes yes in a "whatever, leave me alone" manner.

Can't believe the Telegraph even gave that story the time of day, gossip pages or no.

Such click-bait.

Its not just click-bait.

They can now run a 'he lied to his own fans' story whenever they want after he arrives here. Its a two-for-one free hit with no work involved at all.

Wait pogba is staying at juve now? Not managed to read anything today yet as I'm working but a quick search on Twitter seems to bring up he's staying

What sort of muppet breaks down at this point in the saga, I just don't get it, the end is literally in sight. Poor form.

"We will not go quietly into the night!

We will not vanish without a fight!

We're going to live on!

We're going to survive!"

This week, we celebrate Pog-week!

:lol::lol::lol:

Mate if the figures are true we're prepared to pay the highest transfer fee in the history of football for Pogba. By definition, that means we can afford any midfielder in the world.

I'd turn it round and ask: do you genuinely think there is no-one else in world football who'd fit the bill for us at present? Is it seriously Pogba or nothing?

And yet you won't name any of them? Who is available that fits the profile, I'm genuinely interested in some names.

I guess he never actually heard the questions, they were hard to catch as they spoke VERY fast and not actually loudly. If I haven't read the "conversation" beforehand I wouldn't have heard what they said the first time watching.

The video is worthless imo.

two kids from a Youtube startup that follows italian football found pogba in NYC. They asked him to sign a ball, asked him about staying and about winning CL, he just said yes to everything they said when signing the ball. HE was just being diplomatic and didn't want to hang around. Even one of the presenters said he believe pogba was just being diplomatic.

I mean you said we could get someone just as effective for less money, i'm just wondering who?

He's young, athletic, strong, quick, can shoot, can pass, can tackle, has some tricks, makes runs forward. I don't know anyone who can do all of those things and is only 23 and has won a fair amount of honours & has champions league & international experience also.

Of course it's not Pogba or nothing, but he's available, we can afford him and he's one of those players you have to try and get when the situation arises.

I have to confess I don't watch a lot of European football, although I'd have been delighted to sign Kante (for a third of the price) and Matic would be a great buy as well.

I'm not saying Pogba's a bad player, that's clearly not the case. I just think that with a budget of £100m there must be some alternatives.

Funny how the suicidal muppets are ignoring Burton asking Pogba if he's going to Utd and Pogba answering "we'll see". If ever there was a perfect time to reject the notion and say he's happy where he is, or only God knows, or any of that shit, it was then.

Chill, patience, etc

I am fed up with this whole saga now. Its really boring. When its done we wont even be bothered/surprised as its been going on that long. I welcome a Berbatov last min transfer any day. This is just getting silly.

Yeah all fair points, but we've tried to sign him and he doesn't seem that bothered, otherwise he'd have flown home already. Why not move on?

I kind of get the Rooney testimonial thing, but if we don't hear anything by Friday I would be worried.

And no, I couldn't give a feck if he is on holiday, we should be getting this done.

can't believe others are still discussing the video on here. Amoyal came right out and said it means nothing. One of the presenters thinks he was just being diplomatic (meant nothing), yet some on here think it's a sign of hesitation :lol::wenger:
