Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Skysports news are making it seem like we still haven't agreed a fee or personal terms.

Was hoping it was basically done and ready to be signed
Juve signed Higuain for fecking 90 million. The Pogba deal is definitely done.

Any chance of this being announced today?
There's a chance, obviously, but the probability is very low, I'd say going by the last quotes from di Marzio and Nerozzi.
Best guess is Thursday / Friday if indeed it is announced this week. That said, given how slowly things went on Mkhitaryan even after BVB announced it as a done deal, I can see this going to the next week. No doubt that it's virtually done, but I think the paperwork will take a while to get sorted out... Then again, I'm pressing F5 constantly, so you know what the heart desires...(regardless of what the head says...)

The biggest clubs in the world will always hold that record.
Yup - and United do want to make a statement. Nothing wrong with not having held this to date, but equally, nothing wrong with us holding it after this deal.

SSN has been sh*te at transfer news for a while. I'd rather rely on what di Marzio is saying, which is quite clear!

Ready to be signed sounds like they're just waiting for Pogba to put pen to paper. In reality, contracts are always complex deals. Agreeing in principle and agreeing on paper are generally quite a ways apart as the legal teams like to ensure everything is watertight (that's what they're paid for). The prices and money are only a small part of a contract - the legal terms, timelines etc. take ages to sift through and thrash out. Have even seen contracts dangle for weeks on clauses like arbitration, jurisdiction, valuation bases (in cross-border deals), how to value incentives etc...

There's always a chance. But as far as we can guess, it's "this week". i'd imagine we'll get a better sense of today's possibility when more journo's start commenting.
Yup - should know more by the evening, but I'm now jaded. Can't see this not happening and equally, feel it's unlikely to be closed before Pogba finishes his vacation and is back in Europe / the UK (depending on which outlet you choose to believe). All that said, I recall somebody (can't remember who) saying a week or more ago that it was a done deal and that Pogba would first fly to the UK, finish the medical, sign the documents etc. and then go to Turin to pick up his stuff before finally getting back to get together with the team. Sounds plausible if you ask me...

In the same article where they have written about Pogba 'preparing to fly' to Manchester?

Not long ago Sky were just below BBC in terms of reliability when it came to transfer news. Gone to shit nowadays..

it's refreshing to finally have a reliable reporter reporting on these things. Di Marzio gets things right and when he gets them wrong (Gomes) he take it on the chin. Meanwhile as you can see above, other media outlets just lie for web clicks.

Not sure what you mean? Di Marzio's gotten plenty wrong on this story alone. Wasn't the announcement meant to be made a few times already? He's stringing you along for clicks just like everyone else.

SSN

"Virtually agreed in principle"
"Personal terms close to being confirmed"
"Raiola's fee....yet to be resolved"
"Negotiations set to continue this week"

Hasn't this been the case for like two weeks!??

The fact we've also got senior players openly talking about Pogba "possibly joining" is clear as day for me.

The silence from all the important parties is a clear sign that everything is agreed. Nothing to leak to the press, no conversation or negotiation going on. Anything we hear from the press from now till the actual big reveal is nothing but clickbait, feeding on the impatience of the fans who are dying to hear something.

Clock rings. Everything is still. Newspaper plops through letterbox. Trump is still insulting people. The run in to the election drags on... Summer feels faded. Wenger is still hopeful. Pogba is still dropping hints, from a swimming pool somewhere. GroundPog Day.

#Pogba"Manchester United? We'll see ... ". From England confirm the agreement with #Juve!

Hope we smash the fee again with Dybala/Verrati next year . Perfect replacement for Rooney/Carrick !!

Not a record you want to hold.

Strange comment.

Just as strange as the people who say that spending huge amounts "isn't the United way" or whatever, ignoring the fact that we've broken the British transfer record five times (more than any other club), in the 60s, 80s, 90s and 00s.

what does that even mean ?

so the telegraph are claiming Calcio Mercato is the outlet claiming pogba will be done today.

No clue who they are

I think Guardiola has bid 68.4m for Calcio Mercato - young fast paced attacking attacker full of pace with speed and energy.
