Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

I suppose Bailly, Zlatan and Henrikh (not gonna attempt his surname) are pretty much done so we can now spend the rest of the summer chasing this fella.

Don't. Want. Pogba, Hazard, Moura -you spurn United once, you stay out for good.
You're talking as Pogba left completely on his own and we had nothing to do about that? And I don't think Moura and Hazard "spurned" us. We wouldn't pay the transfer fees + agent fees but PSG and Chelsea were willing to hence they went there.

Exactly, and we should not compromise on improving the squad if there is a chance to improve. Pogba has always had kind words regarding his time here and Manchester, if anyone thinks he holds a grudge towards the club they'd be mistaken. He may not see eye to eye with Ferguson but, as many have already said, we have a completely new regime at the club. I, personally, would take Pogba back in a heartbeat. He's exactly what we need in midfield, not an answer to all our problems there but he would instantly be the best midfielder at the club and one of, if not the best, in the league.

The reason we could not close deals like Hazard, Moura etcetera was due to Ferguson and Gill refusing to grant agents more power than they thought they were deserved (They would not be held to ransom). That's all changed now, Woody loves a good agent.

:) I doubt he loves them but understands in the modern game the relationships with them is a necessary evil.

I guess Fergie and Gill were old school and fighting against the inevitable.

Manchester Evening News keep on referring that Jose Vetoed the move for Pjanic in favor of Pogba. If that's the case then Jose either doesn't rate Pjanic or he is so confident we can line up Pogba that he has gone for no back ups.

I wouldn't read too much into it. He is known to be a huge fan of Pjanic as well.

Schneiderlin and Herrera have a lot to prove this season.
Interesting. I think Morgan and Herrera have shown at various stages in glimpses last season what they can do. Changing the "philosophy" would help Morgan and if you play short pass give and go football then Herrera will show his brilliance

Herrera did fine his first season. It's just the entire team was shit last season and his opportunities were limited even further.

We're a bit mad if we spend 200m in my opinion
I don't think we will but even if we do then we have sales to go against it so our net spend will be well under 200m. But you can understand the need for it. We have to make the Champions League this year or else we stand to lose way more money.

I'd love us to pull this off but I can't help but think we've been here before so many times.
I know we have the money but just expect Madrid to jump in at the last minute.

With Ibra and Pogba, are we going from being the smallest team in the PL to one of the biggest all of a sudden? Still need more pace down that right wing, and then we are looking good. I'm still not convinced that Pogba is the right fit - looks too cumbersome on the ball, sluggish at times and tries to do too much on his own.

Have I missed a key update today?

You completely ignored a player who are so very close to signing and who is quick and plays down the RW but instead you've included Pogba as if the deal is almost done. I like your way of thinking.

The way I see it, I don't really 100% believe he will come back, I think he will end up at Madrid. But why give in that easy? let's test Madrid's bottle and see if they will go as high as we can. They might just cave in and his agent will convince him to join us instead. He was happy here for many years, he will be happy again.

Woodward want's a big signing, he's an Adidas golden boy, let's have a happy marriage and create some brilliant football

Playing Rafael over Pogba looked pretty damn awful at the time even without hindsight
Yes I agree and have argued with posters regarding this issue this past matter but what's done is done. No point in crying over spilt milk. If we have a chance to resign him then why pass it up?

That's the spirit. Look right now Champions League is the only real drawback we have as a club when compared to Real. But that could change in 12 months especially if Pogba comes here this summer.

Still 65mil we shouldn't need to spend :(
A good portion of that would be due to the potential of the lad. Seems like this is more common now; Paying for the potential and not the current ability. There is definetly no doubt about the potential and I will gladly become a muppet for this to happen

oh I would break the world record to sign him without a second thought. We have the chance to fix Fergies biggest ever transfer mistake - do it.

Exactly plus I think we can make some of that money back through his marketing and him helping us win titles.

The thing is, we could buy this lad, and sell him on for a profit in 4 years anyway, so I don't see the problem in paying the money.
Not that I'd want to sell him, but it's a possibility

He was the reason i started watching reserves-games on MUTV back in the days. He was a great talent in a very talented side. All in all fun to watch

Yep just turned 23 three months ago and can still significantly improve him game.

Thought there was no way we would bring him back but with all the stuff coming out in the press over the last couple of weeks I'm almost starting to believe this is actually going to happen.

I for one would love to see him back in our shirt, no doubt about that.

I think, therefore I am. Is Miki... that quick though? I thought he was more of a ten who works well out wide - everyone wants to play through the middle these days. Where are your Giggs and Overmars?

Give it another month and we will have a better idea of who is going to play where because right now Mou might want more time to see who is good to play in his system. Pre-season will give him exactly that.

This is going to end like so many others. A huge new Juventus deal, or Madrid stump up the cash they are clearly using us to get. Feel free to quote me on this.
