Martial and Schneiderlin had their standard 3 weeks after an international tournament. However, Juve gave both Patrice Evra and Pogba extra time off. I think Arsenal have done the same with a couple of their players. Thought if we sign Pogba, I think his extra time will be cut short by a couple of days.

Regarding the "delay" - the way I had read DiMarzio's update about 48 hours, it was more to with all parties coming to agreement. As for the official announcement, I was(and am) expecting it to take a bit longer for the official announcement as I expect the medical to first take time and then fully expect Pogba to be doing the signing / unveiling at Carrington and then on OT and for us to really get the most out of the announcement. Seeing as he is in LA still - didn't expect anything till Monday at the earliest official.
 
If tbe only hold up is an agents fee, and I know it's huge, then it will be sorted. I think they'll regret not paying Hazards agent. Thinking of the bigger picture, let's try and reach a compromise. I feel confident.
 
Not had a chance to follow this much in the last day or so. I get that we're still waiting for documents to be signed etc, but has any reliable source confirmed that he's in LA for a medical? Or is that just the next leg of his holiday?

I don't believe this medical stuff btw. I'd imagine that'd happen at Carrington in due course.

Also, I'd be surprised if Pogba keeps to his full holiday. From what I've heard, which might be bullshit, it's due to finish on Aug 6th/ 7th. That would be ok if he was still with Juve, who have their 1st Serie A match on August 20th. But we have our first proper fixture on 14th Aug, and another one on 19th Aug. So I'd expect him to cut short his hols a bit and get training so he can play a part in those games.

We've sorted out everything including the agent fees. Just need to sign a couple of things.
 
So is everyone expecting him to get the number 6 because it's free or is 8 more likely ?
 
Some people are still getting worried we won't get him. This is done that adidas video has confirmed it in itself,to top it all of every reliable journalist in Italy has said it's done barring a medical.
 
I have stayed away from this thread for as long as possible but I'm throwing in the towel and going full muppet. Woooooooooooooo Pogba is coming home.
 
Look at how long the Mkhi announcement took! This will take longer. Expect announcement next week or in two weeks time.

We're gonna have to wait a while but it will be worth it.

But having said that, all the players we bought in last few years have been announced during our prime time(Eastern Time), between 9am to 7pm. I almost certain that Pogba will also be announced during the same time interval.

something to do with fair trading by stock market rules. dont understand it entirely but if you're listed on a stock exchange your major changes should only be announced during the stock exchanges open hours. obviously we're on new york stock exchange.

Stop being so fecking kneejerk. Mkhitaryan and Ibra took their time to be completed even if they were agreed for a long time. Player vacations complicate these sort of deals. Also 100m isn't 5m, I bet there's all sorts of documents to be issued like bank guarantees and other legal agreements which all take their time when such huge figures are involved. It's not happening.
