Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

The money spent over the last 3 years is nothing like the Fergie years

He spent big quite on certain players but was regularly outspent by premier league rivals

And that was partially the reason we had to spend so much recently. He had too many old players in the squad when he retired. Not to mention players who had more chances than he had years at the club.

Klopp is right
Just because he is coming to us doesn't mean we have to be bias
Pogba isn't worth 100m imo. That's the price you pay for Messi or Ronaldo...not a player who still has a lot to prove. He will be under so much pressure to live up to the price tag

It's mental. They don't see how petty they are.

Yea, they have mental age of adolescents, judging by their reasoning. I mean, they actually thought that since Pogba picked #10 last season, he was obliged to stay with them for a few years. Who in a right mind would think like that? Bunch of raving lunatics!

all the while forgetting that they signed him on a free... after he left this club.

they're on par with bluemoon and that's saying something.

Yeah, it's staggering how people take football so seriously sometimes.

That's a true but when other teams
Spend on players we shouldn't complain
Like Stones costing 50m and Mane 30m. I know we are all fans but it's hypocritical because Pogba isn't a 100m player for me. He is a 50m player imo

You're absolutely right. Pogba is no way a 100m player. But he is not a 50m player either when Sterling and Jones go for that price and when Andy Carrol went for 35m a few years ago or Torres/Mata for >40m. So I think the right price for Pogba would be around 70-75m. But then again you have to consider that to be able to attract a world class player, the sort of player we haven't bought for years and to do that without UCL or being at the top of our game at the moment we simply had to blow other club(s) out of the water.

Had we competed with Real/Barca on grounds of fair amount of transfer money for Pogba, he would be in Spain by now. Real are winning champions league every alternate year or at least getting there about. They play in La Liga, the house of players like Messi and Ronaldo. United simply made up for all these things by offering crazy money and it is totally fair and sensible.

Yeah was on the Juventuz forum earlier on. Seen a comment that Pogba should be paid in bananas. Only one poster called him a racist clown that he was. All you need to know about that forum.

They see Bayern as a step down from their club and have no problem selling players to Real Madrid, that's all you need to know really

The thing with Juventus fans is that inside they know that they play in a shit league that no one cares anymore about, no one. Thats why they are so bitter towards us. they know Pogba is going to a mega club in the most watched league in the world, and that hurts them.

First time ever that i'm going to buy a MUFC shirt based solely on the signing. I'm so happy Pogba is coming back.

The cockiness they showed towards us at the beginning of the month when they thought we absolutely had no chance of signing him? Now they are just in disbelief and will take a while for them to adjust. What are they going to do? Is it their turn to burn Pogba jerseys or will they show a bit more class? We will wait and find out.

Doubt they will show class. I assume that word is spelled '#!&@' over there.

To be fair imagine how we'd feel if a team in the Europa league took our best player after we'd won 5 titles in a row and were competing in the CL every season. They are hurting and lashing out by belittling our club to make themselves feel better. In an ideal world they'd grow up and accept United are the bigger club and there's no shame in losing a player to us. But a lot of people behave like morons on the internet.

I know he isn't downright lazy, but calling him defensively strong is taking it way too far in my opinion.
He worked very hard in closing people down at Madrid. Don't see how it's too far saying he's strong defensively

Just checked that juventuz forum. There's so much hate for United there now

Mind bogging. It's like Muller going to Tottenham.

Jesus they must be bitter if they are spewing shite like that.

I see they are playing dumb and acting like they don't know why Pogba wants to go to United.

The obvious reason is we are going to pay him a lot more money than they can and United is a bigger and more popular club in a much more popular and competitive league.

And i think they are forgetting their team while very good isn't exactly the youngest. They are in danger of all going over the hill at the same time. Look at the ages of the bulk of their squad: Buffon 38, Lichtsteiner 32, Alves 33, Evra 35, Bonucci 29, Barzahgly 35, Chiellini 31, Benatia 29, Hernanes 31, Marchisio 30, Khedira 29, Mandzukic 30, Higuain 29. Yes they have some good young players like Dybala, Pjanic and Sturaro as well but in the near future they are going to have to replace like 8-9 very good players which won't be easy or cheap. Pogba maybe noticed that and fancied leaving for a side on the up with lots of young players before their inevitable decline starts.

Because he can't tackle, he is dribbled easily, he's weak, his marking is shit and his effort defensively is highly inconsistent.

You're talking as if we are forever in the Europa League. This is a blip and everyone knows it. If he went to Liverpool or Spurs before last year, it makes more sense because in recent years thats where they have been playing. And getting pissed is one thing but saying some moronic racist shit is just outright ludicrous.

The fee is fairly irrelevant, but in 5/6 years if he's a success I imagine it will be seen as a bargain if anything. If he is coming though it's imperative that is he's the most advanced midfielder that we have. If we sit him next to Schneiderlin and let Rooney roam in his 'free role' he spoke about in an interview recently then we will struggle for top 4 let alone the title. But if we let him play up the pitch and cause untold amounts of damage along with Zlatan, Mkhy and Martial with Rashford and possibly Mata and Januzaj as subs if they're still here then we're going to be dangerous next season.

Lol I've never understood people who claim we aren't the biggest club in the world because we don't have the most trophies. We have the biggest following worldwide, make the most dough and the fact that Juve being such a "big" club couldn't hold onto one of their prized assets from a team in the Europa league makes this all the more delicious.

Unfortunately, I think Mourinho will use him there in the beginning.

I would be surprised if he benched Rooney from the start.

However I have faith that Mourinho will use a 3 man midfield after a while(few months maybe).

Yep. This is what I think as well. He might start him off in a midfield 2, especially against weaker teams so he has a little more freedom and time to make mistakes and grow in confidence because you wont get punished as much as when you make a mistake against the top 6.

I meant for a winger he is defensively strong and provides good balance.

This is the most frustrating part, I think we have a genuine chance at the title this season, but with how close it's going to be I don't think we have the freedom to play passengers.

We should throw another 100m at griezmann after this just to make a statement that we can and so everyone shits themselves (even if we dont get him)

WTH...r u for real? R u talking about all-my-players-have-justice-probems, pay-fee-in-dark-alleys, 20-games-last-year-were against-10-man-squad-or-got-a-free-penalty?

They're talking about Barca here..just find the last bit pretty funny. They do realise they were relegated for match fixing right?

I think we'll win it(challenge for sure imo), but how Mourinho handles Rooney will be key.

 This! Would be fecking hilarious. Dont even negotiate with Athetico over fees. Just activate his release clause and see everyone panic.

Meh I don't see it that way. He's no Ronaldo in terms of defensive workrate obviously, but I have never seen him contributing very much in defense. Pretty much the only thing I've seen him do is to try and close down the opposition quickly after loss of possession, but even Messi does that.

You did kind of say that he was defensively strong in general though since you mentioned him alongside Pogba who is a CM.

Pogba is better than Kroos and if I could have only one of them, I'd pick Pogba every day.

Don't care what anybody says.
