It's time for chief muppeter to have his dinner, fuel up and rally the muppets tonight. It's been all doom and gloom in here today!
Well thats not going to happen, so no need to worry.
That last line that cracked me up. Kante who has had one good season? Also he is a different type of to Pogba. You can compare Kante and Busquets but not one of them to Pogba. And so many on here were dissing on Zlatan and how he scored only in a shit league and it doesnt count but the same posters praise Verratti as if he proved himself at Madrid or Barca. He is playing in the same shit league for the same shit team. But why is one held to a better opinion than another?
700 pages in, and we still don't really have a clue what's going on.
It seemed to peak about 10 days ago, where it sounded imminent. Very reminiscent of the Vidal saga last year, although this did seem much more likely.
Just can't believe Real Madrid would match our offer, as surely they wouldn't have let us hype the price up insanely. Instead they'd have just told the player to only deal with them. Bit like when VP would only sign for us not City.
Worst case scenario is Real get him, and for tonnes less than we'd have paid.
On another note, this Pilib de Brun character. He's Irish right? So what the bloody hell is the name Pilib de Brun? Like he's some Belgian or something!?
And why is he so often quoted?
He was adamant throughout the entire Mourinho saga, even when some of us thought he was off to PSG or back to Real. How can you still be so confident? Unless you're getting daily updates surely you can see your information may now be outdated?
It's been obvious for around 7 days now things have stalled and the media in the last few days have caught up and confirmed that
Even then Kante?Again the question was the midfielders who are better, I named who I thought were better (I wasn't interested in if they were a CDM or a CAM e.t.c.). On the subject of Zlatan, I'm extremely confident that he will be a success here
Does this mean anything then? Is he coming?!
One week ago L'éqock reported that the deal had been agreed (with alot of noise from ge Italian newspapers that it was imminent) and this thread title was "ON like Donkey Kong". Ah the good times.
If Pogba's sold he's sold. The fans don't have a meter for negotiations.
Tottenham and Real Madrid remain £18million apart as Gareth Bale transfer saga drags on
Daniel Levy and Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez had direct talks on Tuesday in the United States, where the Tottenham chairman is holidaying and the Spanish team are on tour, but there was only limited progress in what was their second set of negotiations.
Perez slightly upped his initial offer to £86 million (€100 million) but Levy reiterated his valuation of £104 million. Either fee would shatter the existing world record transfer fee of £80 million that was paid by Real Madrid to Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009.
8.Gave Wayne Rooney 300k per week and a 5 year deal.Never. Ever. Ever underestimate how foolish the MUFC board (and management) can be.
In the last 3 years:
1, replaced a Galactico class manager (Fergie) with Moyes and gave him a 6 year contract. Jose (the ideal replacement) was available but, they thought it would be better to hire a manager who has never won a trophy in his life.
2, got rid of our entire (experienced) defensive line, in a single transfer window.
3, bought Fellaini for above his release clause
4, kept faith with Moyes even after he'd basically given up on our entire team and the season. And only sacked him once the season was completely wrecked.
5, bought Di Maria - British Transfer Record. The only player listed in the World FIFA XI, who was playing in the EPL. Arguably Madrid's best player. MOTM in their final game (CL Final). We did not know how/where to play him and sold him within 12 months, for a significant loss.
6, attempted to sell DDG (our best player for many years) - they only failed because of Madrid's mess-up.
7, LVG was allowed to implement his non-goal scoring philosophy, even though the fans/media were getting on his back. He was even booed. The OT fans chanted "attack attack attack". He was eventually sacked, but was given approximately half a season to rectify the boring football which he had implemented...but he failed to change.
I'm sure there other errors in judgement, but it would not shock me if they sold Pogba a few years later for a cut price deal, to our rivals.

Chelsea ended up with no striker when they went all in for Rooney in 2013 and ended up with Djibouli as a defender after putting all their eggs in the Stones basket last year. It isn't impossible to think that same may happen this season with us and Pogba.
He was adamant throughout the entire Mourinho saga, even when some of us thought he was off to PSG or back to Real.
He has earned the right to be ITK on this. Obviously if Pogba doesn't happen, he will lose all credibility.
@Acquire Me has basically gone Double or Quits on this. And he has selected 'Double', the confident cnut!
A lot of over reaction is what it is. Nobody has a fecking clue. Patience is the answer as always. What happened?
I thought it was all but done. Nothing new from Di Marzio?
And what's with the Real Madrid talk again?
Cause it's the Irish for Phillip Brown
I can't believe people think that paying over a £100m for Pogba is reasonable. He's good, but he's not worth that sort of money. Surely we can get a midfielder who's equally good for much less. There's just such a massive premium because of the way the media and his agent have marketed him.
I personally wouldn't mind if we didn't get him, and spent the money on someone else, and gave TFM a decent run. The player looks a star in the making.
