Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Oh wow, I can't wait for tomorrow now! I still can't believe we're about to break the world record to sign arguably the most promising young player in world football! Praying for a BBC article tomorrow morning!

I don't think its just promise we are buying.
Memphis was promise (which failed). Martial was promise (which is likely to succeed - he is not there yet).
But Pogba can operate at a World Class level, right now. He has already played in the Euro Final for country. He has played in CL final for Juve. And already won league titles. Its startling that he is so young and already accomplished so much.
He may improve further, but we are buying him to have immediate impact; not be great in 2 years.

If they did they would have been able to afford Pogba, especially since they were willing to offer up to 80m Euros to sign Gomes and Gameiro. Extra 40m is nothing if they had "endless" supply of money.

they don't want Pogba. Same reason Pep doesn't want him. he can't play that system.

Hopefully there's a lot more of "everything done" from people like Di marzio... This saga has gone in circles it feels like for days. Just get it done and then move on to the next target.

how fecking stupid do Liverpool look right about now? Luis fecking Suarez for only 75 million? Seriously? Their muppets must be on suicide watch.

Suarez did not cost £75M.
This is a misnomer.
His cost: £65M

Barca got a great deal on him. Who knows why LFC gave in so easily. Arguably one of the best and most in form strikers in the World and he gets sold for a moderate price.

But they literally said, they were priced out.

‘We know Pogba, he is a player who proved to be very strong and, for a while, Barcelona were interested, but clearly the dynamics changed and once the figures reached a certain point, we were no longer interested.'

Braida said that himself

All true, but in 2-3 years when the first £200 million player is signed people will probably say that Juventus should have held out for at least £150 million for Pogba.

£70 odd million for Suarez a few years back was good business, it only now looks cheap when it's compared with today's inflated market.

We won't see a £200m player for a very long time.

When does Pogba get back from the States? Can't see this happening until he is back.

exactly. they didn't value him enough to get into the fight. if they thought he could be a Neymar caliber player, they'd have joined the chase.

Well then would you say Real Madrid dont want him either ?

Exactly, he is borderline world class right now, but still has huge potential! He's only recently turned 23.

Luiz was a train wreck that year just came off a ban and went on to have another one where barca couldnt play him till end of october. Where liverpool were asshats was not getting Sanchez in exchange

I'm assuming you are taling about Suarez and not David Luiz?
Train-wreck?
Top goal scorer in his league.
Was in unbelievable form for his country, until he bit a man (that sounds funny, but it actually did happen).
Then when he returned, he gradually came into brilliant form and finished as one of the most in-form strikers in the World.
I would kill to have a "train wreck" who could score that many goals.
Instead we have 8 league goals in a season, Wayne Rooney.

He was a walking timebomb of a disgrace who was suspended for a few months and at risk of missing years if he bit someone again.
It was a fair price imo

Whether or not United pay Raiola's fee is just simple math. Let's say United are willing to pay up to 120 million euros, total. There are 2 ways to structure the deal:

United pay Juve €100m
United also pay Railo's fee of €20m
Total outlay for United = €120m

If United pay Juve €120m
Juve must pay Raiola 20% of 120= €24m
Juve keeps €96m instead of €100m.
Total outlay for United is still €120m

So although in both cases the outlay is 120m, it does work out better for Juve if United agree to "pay" Raiola's fee instead of them. And that's how it is being done.
Usually when you talk about taking a percentage as a cut you take it from the fee, not add it on. So, if we pay €100m to Juve and Raiola gets a 20% cut, then surely Juve would get €80m and fat cnut €20m? Not €100m to Juve and €20 to chub equalling €120m. I'm not too sure though, just seems to make more sense.

This. I think Lpool knew they needed to cash in and Barcelona being Barcelona didn't really care about the whole peckish malarkey. They took him on, let him train and serve his ban, then of course reaped the shameful benefits from October 2014 onwards.

Poor Zidane...
Isn't it clear that Madrid want him but can't afford him? Where is the news here?

I meant Luis and I also meant his off the pitch behavior which actually means something when we talk about going into really really high figures. On the pitch he was balon dor like when he played the likes of Norwich and Sunderland though . His goal scoring rate was never in question, especially by me . anyway this is the pogba thread and my last message about that rat cnut of a man

Lol this guy.

Your tagline really should read. Scared of Real Madrid.
Have faith, we will sign him.

BOOM.

Meh, no Italian media says Madrid are seriously in the running for Pogba, so I wouldn't pay too much attention to Zidane's quotes.

 Either you're obsessed or a wum. Hoping for the last. I actually saw these quotes about an hour ago - and thought of you. But it's hard to take anything from these quotes. He's being asked about Pogba. What else is he supposed to say?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks he needs a new tagline, Mr Optomistic or something @Damien

No raiola fee no pogba.
Simple.
Seems woody doesnt want to pay it.

And he shouldn't, Raiola will be so pissed at juve about this it will affect any dealings in the future if there is any as they obviously can't be trusted to honour their contracts.
