Well he's a Mendes/Jose mouthpiece so I guess he's got to be somewhat reliable in regards to United now. Don't really get all the hate he gets. He is really, really bald, though.
Castles and Keys seem to be the football forum's whipping boys but both are very good when it comes to Utd these days. I trust them over Tanc Top and Di Marzio.
I wonder if the intoxication and hubris of Mou's newly arrived vibes, and his Gung Ho attitude etc, might have led Woody to overplay his hand? Did all the hints and leaks leave Juve with a bit too much bargaining leverage? Woody/United winds up as the boy who brags of climbing a tall steeple, and puts himself in grave danger, 'cos he can't lose face? Looking down from a great height right now. Hope Pogba is worth it.
You've actually confused me with what you're saying. I thought you are kinda ridiculing the money we are spending on Pogba and that for his fee we can sign anyone bar Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar?
Yeah, my fault. Not ridiculing in any way (I'm glad he's coming), but I do think we could get pretty much anyone except the ones you mention for this money, yes.
But I'm happy with it, I just don't agree that he's the only option.
It is in the grand scheme of things. We are pretty desperate for a world class midfielder and not closing the deal over it would be madness. We could recoup that fee by selling Fellaini and Schweinsteiger.
This thread is shit and people are going for the record number of posts just for the sake of it. Reminds me of Rooney's quest for the goal scoring record.
What an utter waste of time - for me. I was trying to do the same thing, going through all the pages in this thread! I got to page 136.
My goal was to create a timeline, just to show how futile it is to trust journalists.

Phenomenal work, but you could have saved yourself a lot of bother by just using the last two weeks. He's been signed, fee agreed, fee not agreed, agent fee holding it up, Real involved, Real never fancied her anyway, fee not agreed, fee agreed, fee agreed but Juve actually want more at one point. It's gotten beyond a joke.
the onus is always on the buyer in this case, particularly when there isn't much in the way of rival bids. we'll pay the fee, or maybe the majority of it or something.
Wait, so Raoila negotiated a fee with Juve (based on future transfer fee) for helping them to steal Pogba from us and now they want us to pay that fee???
Apart from Di Maria I can't remember a single top player the club went for and we actually managed to get him. Vidal, Ramos, Müller, Hazard etc, I'am not saying we should sign all these players, I'am saying if you spend half a summer trying then please try to get it done for once.
I would have been just as happy if the club said this summer we need a new midfielder, lets sign Kanté or Pjanic and get them. If they rather get Pogba then that is fantastic but if it ends with no Pogba and also no Kanté, no Pjanic because they are off the market already then feck me that is a big failure.
It is not moaning it is just stating the obvious fact that we have advanced to a state right now because the transfer has dragged on for awhile and most other alternatives have already disappeared, we better get this done or risk having a failed summer again.
I don't buy that they'll be able to sign Higuain and keep Pogba, not for the money they're throwing at Napoli. Financially they're not a Madrid or United and couple that to their match fixing budget for the season I simply don't see how they're not going to sell Pogba to us at the quoted prices.

I highly doubt it also. They have been working very hard to get their house in order since making a massive loss in 2011. In 2015 they still posted a small loss (around £5m) I just don't see them spending at the levels of United or City.

It also seems they are not stopping with Higuain alone. They are also bidding for Witsel and Gabigol. That will take their net spending past the 100m euro mark.
Wrong. Castles has been a known Mourinho/Mendes journo with actual contacts with them. He's even been called Mendes' b!tch. He's traditionally been a ABU WUM but he has no choice but to try and be nice with us now since Mou is at United.

You said it's not due to reliability and that it's due to being a WUM. Not the case here I'm afraid. He's been very well informed regarding United's dealings and Mourniho's plans.
