What an utter waste of time - for me. I was trying to do the same thing, going through all the pages in this thread! I got to page 136.
My goal was to create a timeline, just to show how futile it is to trust journalists.

If someone with no life, quite possibly me, put enough time aside then the person can list all the reports. Certain patterns such as the one you mentioned will become clearer. I'm convinced that the standing of some journos are inflated.
We read a hundred reports and forget about them soon after. Information overload and selective memory plays a massive role in our perceptions.

I wonder what the rules are regarding agent fees. It's clear from what you've said that Juve and United have agreed terms, and Pogba's personal terms have been agreed... so if all that's in the bag can't we just tell Raiola to piss off? Or will he need paying (ludicrously) for the work he's done in negotiating?
Bluemoon quoted this satirical post over there about Ehsanul and took it as Pogba not coming
Just a word from ensahul, he cant get online. Apparently twitter account called datguy1989 claims Perez and Raiola conducted a deal in Madrid and had the best white wine to celebrate. Woody heard about it in the plane to Miami and was very unhappy.
Make of it what you
Yeah pretty much this. I'd love to see Pogba strut his stuff for us this coming season but I also wouldn't blame Woodward whatsoever if he told Juventus to stuff it at this point either. I've no issue at all with Raiola wanting his pound of flesh, he's earnt it as far as I'm concerned in getting Juventus a fecking bargain in the first place. Juve bumping up the price so that we effectively end up paying Raiola's fee for taking him away from us would just be ridiculous.
The record Vidal transfer thread is going to be shattered, we haven't even had an announcement yet and the celebration/meltdown that will follow. It's going to be biblical!
It's funny isn't it. The press don't have a clue what's going on. Pogba and Raiola are probably sitting there laughing at all the rumours, hence his latest instagram post. Ibra did the same trick, he said he would announce it when he's good and ready.
I feel once the Higuain deal is done then we will get the ball rolling. All these "negotiations" that are supposed to be happening IMO are done already, they are just discussing when to announce the deal.
Juve is supposed to pay. This is not the 'normal' agent fee. It's a clause in Pogba's Juve contract. Raiola and Pogba are entitled to 20% of any transfer fee for him. It's normal for players who sign on a free to have such a clause. The issue here is that the transfer fee is massive which means the 20% is massive and which is why Juve don't want to pay it out of their cut. They've asked United to pay for it if we're that desperate which I believe we are.
I figured it would be this way normally. Though this sounds like a pre-existing agreement, possibly when Pogba was first signed from us, that the agent would get 20% of any future transfer fee. If the reports are true (big if) then it sounds like Juve are just refusing to pay what they originally agreed to.
Raiola's agreement with Juve when pogba signed was that he would get 20% of the future transfer fee or something simular. Looks like if what the journos say is true (I'm sceptical) that they want to clear €120 without his fee. So it's Juve trying to renegotiate on a previous agreement with Raiola.

Its different if you have a clause that says when a player is sold then the selling club has to pay % of the fees to the player. But usually when a club signs a player, its the buying club that pays any agent fees.
As funny as I find this thread, and I will keep returning to it, I have never once believed anything I hear about Manchester United until the club confirm it. Once I read on our Twitter feed that he's signed I'll believe it, until then everything is conjecture. How else can you treat it when the story changes every day depending on who you read/ listen to?!
Journalists get away with murder. It is unacceptable. I cannot STAND it! Well OK, I should say sport journalists. There is a code of conduct, where readers have a right to expect accuracy and fairness.
We are bound by these rules. If I make an error in my reports then my editor will come down on me like a ton of bricks, because the publication can be sued.
So yes, I'm a journalist as well. And I despise these clickbaiters, destroying decades of trust established through blood and tears.
