Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

I agreed with his overall arching point that SAF had changed, hell he admitted this himself and he had to change. Further, he's right that Scholes and co. live in a dream world where it is still 199 something. Football moved on since. You can spin it a thousand different ways. SAF would have taken a proper punt on Pogba if it was 1993 or 94 but he didn't really. The few minutes Pogba got was hardly a way to showcase what Pogba could do. We had severe midfield problems and the least SAF should have done was to give the kid a proper go. He didn't. The rest is history. And Pogba played just fine in the Euro's when he was allowed to what he does best, play an attacking CM role. Those were his best matches. His worst games were when he was asked to sit deep and do a Carrick. He's not that kind of player. He's more of a young Scholes than anything else. Just because we have a different view point to you does not mean we have 'an agenda' as you put it. I could say your agenda is to defend SAF's stuff up with Pogba too but clearly you don't have an 'agenda', you simply have a viewpoint.

I guess I'm a bit young to really compare the SAF of 93 to the one that chose not to field Pogba, I just think there were very legitimate reasons not to, that we choose to ignore.
The rest is a matter of appreciation, I didn't see anything to suggest Pogba would have been better than the retired-Scholes then, or on what basis he was supposed to give him a "punt", when it was clear as daylight he couldn't cope with the rhythm. It is also completely ignoring the context, despite our midfield woes we were challenging for the title, that isn't the moment to give a young inexperienced player (that showed he can't cope with the pressure) game time in a box-box role that you even claim isn't his best position.

Again a matter of appreciation, unlike you who thinks Pogba had some good games, I thought he played poorly througout the Euro tournament, his best moment being the 5mins where he ditched the German Right-back to put in a good cross that was converted. Sorry mate, but most of us frenchies (or the ones around me) are actually quite disapointed in Pogba's tournament.

Though I think the crux lies in what you say : "play an attacking CM" role. That isn't the role that was free back then at United, rather a box-box/ dcm role which as you point out he is poor at even today. The question is, are we buying him to play as he is currently setup at Juve? or is he supposed to be a midfielder? I'm guessing, and hoping, Mourinho will play him like he did Lampard; otherwise I'm ready to be very disapointed.

Where I join you, is that I can't believe Darren Gibson and Tom Cleverly got more game time than Pogba or even Petrucci whom I thought would be really good as a proper central midfielder were he properly groomed.

Tancredi: "Real Madrid offer 120 no matter how split;Juve won't share 120"

Surprised to see RM offer 120. Can't be true right? Why would they all of a sudden offer 120 for someone there is not even space for in their team. Also, why not offer 140 and be done with it?
There is literally only Tancredi saying this stuff. He's clickbaiting on another level.
United could annouce it and have Pogba standing there with the shirt in his hands and Tancredi will still be saying Real are doing all they can to stop it.

Marca is quiet, Di Marzio is quiet, AS have said Real want him but can't afford him and with James staying, their chances are slim, a few other smaller outlets in Spain are saying the same, they want him but won't get him.
He's stoking up an audience for his next TalkSPORT update aint he? Gotta make it interesting for them listeners lol

Aggression.
I dont know why do i waste a post on you, cause its my last for today. Agression? Gundogan is more agressive with the ball, without a ball then Pogba?. I would love if i can post a video here so you would see what are you talking about.

I could be a Twitter journalist:

"Woodward will return from China tomorrow & could trip over a frog"

Its easy

I think Nerozzi is speculating. We know Woodward is coming back but he says he thinks that he will close the deal. Literally nothing in it.

He probably left the oven on, or his wife isn't sure if she left her straighteners on.

What's your problem? Jeez take it easy. Yes I think Gundongan is generally more agressive with and without the ball than Pogba.

Do other clubs have ridiculous "saga" threads like this in their transfer forum?

Say, Barcelona...it seems like no sooner have you heard of their interest in a player, they have officially confirmed the signing

Or is it just because we are not close to it?

Lads, relax. This does not look like the face of a man who is about to sign Blaise Matuidi.

I just don't understand how the same journalists are saying the transfer is all but done, but Madrid are still in it.

Regarding RM and Pogba, how Zidane and his pull is main reason why Pobga will choose RM over us...i mean how dumb can someone be to go by that. There is more chance Zidane will be sacked during next season.

Because Zidane is his idol, they are both French and everyone wants to play for Madrid. People still signed last season when Benitez was the manager. They dont care about who is managing as much as they care about the stature of the club and who they are playing alongside.

Everyone wants to play for RM,ok thats fine but if you go there only and only because of current manager, then i dont see much logic in that, mainly due doubt that Zidane will last full next season.

Bold part,yea i agree,again thats fine too.

Who did they sign last summer?

Barring the kid that has grown up in Salford dreaming of playing for his beloved Reds, would anyone (all other things being roughly equal) choose United over Real or Barca? Better climate, better shopping, better quality of life generally, the opportunity to play with some of the very best players on earth in a good quality league.
I think we're realistically in the market for players that those two clubs either don't want, or are not prepared to financially compete for.
Plus, lets not forget that we're talking about a bloke who's already walked out on us once, which might lead us to infer something about his commitment to playing for United.

Plenty of players have chosen us, haven't they? And I guarantee you, if we were fighting with Bayern over this transfer, plenty in here would still be saying he wants to go Bayern. We dont act as big as we are.

Some people are just negative and will turn everything negative and will jump on anything negative said. Some people are just plain stupid. Ronaldo signed for us over Barcelona, Madrid and others. You can't win them all. Clearly certain markets favor us and certain ones don't. Rafael was Brazilian but never once mentioned a Spanish club. It comes down to the people but some folks can't get past generalizations and all that nonsense.
