Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

I think this transfer will be done by the weekend. If not Monday. If not next week. If not next month. Maybe next summer if we're lucky.

In all seriousness I expect the deal to be announced next Monday but hopefully by the weekend.

Scholes problem is he still thinks it's the 1990's when it comes to football. Football has moved on and he's still rambling on like a dinosaur.
He thinks we should still be playing 442 with Valencia raiding down the right and whipping in crosses

Paul Scholes:
'I just don't think he is worth £86m,' the ex-England international told Sport Witness.

'For that sort of money, you want someone who is going to score 50 goals a season like (Cristiano) Ronaldo or (Lionel) Messi.

'Pogba is nowhere worth that kind of money yet.'

Scholes' memories of a young Pogba are an exciting talent who expected too much, too early.

'He was a very talented young player, I played with him and I knew how good he was,' he said.

'He played for the first team maybe once or twice, but from my understanding he was asking for too much money.

'For his age, he was asking for far too much money, that too for a player who hasn't played first team football.

'OK, he has gone on to great things. I think certainly there has been a lot of improvement. He needed to improve if he is going to be a player worth £86m.'
Not surprising to hear Scholes say something like this. He seems to be a really simple thinker

It was confirmed Uniteds offer was bigger than what he moved to Juve for. I've got a feeling Scholes has a bee in his bonnet about the fact Pogba has been vocal that his coming out of retirement was the reason he left.

Who cares what Scholes think? Can we not have pages of discussion about this, it's way too boring.

Scholes has been annoying since he started selling his opinions.
A few months back on Second Captains they discussed Scholes as a pundit and basically articulated my issue with him better than I could. He has one speed: moaning about United. Beyond that, he's a poor pundit. He doesn't speak well, relies on cliches and bland, meaningless statements - when he isn't ranting about United - and, most importantly. he doesn't appear to have any real insight into the game from the perspective of a pundit.

Scholes is 100% correct, but it doesn't change the fact that this is the type of money a club such as us will have to shell out for a player of Pogba's caliber.

We've been here so many times before. I was confident that we had finally signed a player that we have been involved in a saga with but my gut feeling today is that Madrid will find some way of getting him. I just can't see us bringing him back, I think it's gone on too long, if we were going to sign him I think it would of been done by now. Finding myself looking for news every 5 mins but setting myself up for disappointment.

I this guy allowed here?

Read all of the timeline. "Zidane wants Pogba."

The AS article is utterly baseless, it just says Zidane likes Pogba but they can't finance it until they sell James, the rest is speculation.

The other stuff on his timeline from the other Spanish paper is just ridiculous guesswork based on nothing.

Empty stuff to get clicks/sell papers.

Man, its just a trick to the break the Thiago record in the forum.
BTW how many posts left, people?

There is way too many "if's and buts" for madrid. They are going to have to sell James to even have a chance of pogba, and that has been completely dashed by James going public and wanting to stay. The on top of that, Di Marzio infoming us that pogba dismissed their personal offer because he had one with us.

So, Real Madrid in for Pogba according to Tancredi.

This isn't going to end well - and I was feeling calm earlier.

:(

Another crazy theory

Maybe Woodward has assumed all along that RM would come in and buy Pogba, like always happens in the end, whilst he can continue to demonstrate that he's in the market for the world's biggest players.

But now, Perez is sitting back laughing to himself by the size of the fee while Woody is going "OK, Perez, we are going to buy him....any - minute - now.....here we go....just the agent fee to sort out....."
 good one

I can't see your tweets but hope you are right mate.

Didn't we discuss this a few 5 or so pages ago, about all these Perez and Zizou lip reading?

It really feels like groundhog day with Pogba, the same shit is getting regurgitated by various media outlets every few hours.

He's ours guys chill, Madrid would have signed him by now if they were going to. Unless they suddenly sell Kroos or another midfielder to raise some money I wouldn't worry at all. Ed Woodward has this one covered, it's clear to see.

This is the same thing all over again. Now we're going to have five pages of people scared of Madrid and then five pages about the magnitude and pulling power of Madrid vs. the magnitude of United. All based on the same "news" recycled for the third time...

Then again, that might be what's needed to beat the Vidal thread post count

It's so obvious that Real aren't getting Pogba, I'm so confident I could even bet one of my nuts.

We're probably way too far in negotiation(or even agreements already) with Pogba for things to change now, Real interest or not.

i don't want us to get hurt, surely for once, it is going to end well for us and together with pogba we can sail of into the sunset , only stopping to pick up glistening trophies.

( that's the type of shit you see on rawk!!) I need a Break from this thread.

Yep, I think it's called Groundpog day around those circles.

Dude, Gomes was also almost done and Barca snatched him half an hour before the deal was done.

Anything can happen.

Gonna be honest I feel certain now that Pogba will join us, too much points to him joining us, already agreeing personal terms, Perez seemingly not keen on him, Real unable to afford him etc.
