Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

The Juventuz lot seem to want him to go Real and don't think he'll come here. Then again, they also think they're 2nd in the world behind Barca, 'Real and Bayern are arguably level'.

It's absurd how they blatantly want him to go to Real

And Ive heard from several different journos over the last week that Pogba is close to signing with us.

It's easy for anyone to say this now. Time for someone to put their nuts on the line and tell us exactly when he'll sign.
To be fair, if its only based on the agent fees, he was extremely close to sign for us last week. I imagine its all sorted on the player end, but the rest of the headaches need to be ironed out.

I love how these Twitter twonks say so much without actually saying anything at all lol, "just been told Pogba is close, no details though" er ok and?
Total garbage the lot of them.

Well, some fans on here believe MUFC are one of the best teams in the World, even though during the last 3 seasons, we have finished 5, 5, 7. And we have only been in the CL for 1 season (getting knocked out at the first stage).
Fans often see their own teams through rose tinted spectacles. It's normal.
Wenger said it best: http://arsereview.blogspot.co.uk/2009/10/everyone-thinks-they-have-most.html
You don't think Utd are one of the biggest teams in the world right now? Reading your posts I'm not sure your s Utd fan.

Sure. I appreciate that. My point was that it's easy for anyone to say on Twitter right now that they've heard Pogba is close to signing. Any bullshitter can hedge their bets and say that. I might give them a touch more credibility if they could put a date on it, because 'close' can mean anything from a few hours to a week or so.

Is this based on anything, or just your gut? Because i'd like to read whatever you guys are reading about madrid.

All i've read from their mouthpieces is that they can't do the deal without X/Y/Z happening and them Di Marzio said Pogba committed himself to our offer when Madrid came back sniffing around.

Completely my gut, there's little/no proof madrid changed their mind but I just assume the worst most of the time.

Also, to put the Higuain news into even clearer perspective.

Their last record purchase (Buffon) was mirrored by Zidane's departure.

Put this in context with my earlier post that Higuain is now tied 2nd for world record transfers.

It's all coming together:drool::drool:

ok, that's fair enough. i just thought maybe you were reading into certain comments more than me, but thanks for clarifying mate! :)

I think the agent fee reports are wide of the mark, journos like Di Marzio usually have direct contacts with big Italian clubs, so they can be fed a narrative, such as: "All agreed, but just haggling agent cut."

This suits Juventus to a 'T', allowing them to do their buying before the Pogba transfer announcement. I reckon the sudden flurry of negotiations with us and the fact Raiola flew to Miami straight after, followed by the usual silence by us (akin to recent transfers, like schniederlen) means that everything is agreed.

No way would Woody get this close to one-upping Madrid and then haggle over £10 - 15m, not after his recent failures under LVG, he desperately needs the first galactico world record through the door, my thinking is he wants to have a similar effect to Ronaldinho signing for a struggling Barca, where it put them back on the map vs Madrid.

I reckon Woody would go higher if he had to, that is why Madrid gave up, that, and the fact they are not desperate to break up a winning midfield.

In conclusion I reckon everything points to it being done barring a medical. Marca and co are just using Mourinhio's quotes as a base to say Madrid are back in to sell their paper. Once he's signed they will go back to saying he's not worth it.

When that newbie logs in and sees his 20 notifications, I hope he thinks yes great news, people must have liked my post about the theory, maybe im now a full member, only to discover everyone has just responded to him calling him a feck up.

What the hell is going on in this tread? More and more absurd.

Anyone who knows when Pogba's holliday are done?

Saw that earlier, anyhow the fact they have signed Higuain they must be desperate to get the deal done now.

I have a theory:

United are on a mission to become the best in the world and will move heaven and earth to get the right players (system and sponsors) to get there. Everything else is just fan friction.

Another crazy theory

Maybe Woodward has assumed all along that RM would come in and buy Pogba, like always happens in the end, whilst he can continue to demonstrate that he's in the market for the world's biggest players.

But now, Perez is sitting back laughing to himself by the size of the fee while Woody is going "OK, Perez, we are going to buy him....any - minute - now.....here we go....just the agent fee to sort out....."

To Madrid?
If he was to go to Madrid, they'd have kept it super quiet, and for them, thats pretty much impossible.

Have they ever kept a record fee signing quiet? They like to make a huge fuss of their superior spending power don't they?
