Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

But you know that if it indeed was just about relationships between agents and Mourinho, then we'd have tons of Mendes' players as he is Mou's agent, no?

You make a good point. It is, of course, all about the money.

You can't just dismiss the agent fee as part of the transfer. Pogba is going to cost over £100m easily and that's before his wages are considered. City could afford to buy him but he would take a substantial amount of the budget when other areas still need addressing.
But Pogba's wages aren't that unreasonable fot such a transfer.
Did Bale move to Madrid without an agent fee involved? I'm sure Mendes etc got a massive chunk out of the Ronaldo deal.
20% isn't this monster payout that people are suggesting it is.
We missed out on Hazard when we didn't pay his agent 6m which was around 20% on it's own.
Just seems like excuses to me. 50m euro odd for Sane who played in KDB position last year.
Bidding 40m for a defender with a broken leg. Who would have been played out of position no less.
50m for Stones! Who would be bought alongside 60m Bonucci if Juve let you.
Im sorry Bobby but you were the first to chime in about City's revenues rivalling our own. Justifying City's absurd 3b valuation ( if I remember correctly) and boasting about ffp not being a factor anymore after signing Sterling and KDB.
You can't really cry about hands being tied when you can't sign a player.
Especially when your fanbase where crowing about all these world class players Pep would attract for City. Where they expected to arrive on free's and loans?

If this deal is hanging on him taking a pay cut from 20% down to 10% or even 5%, you better believe it will get done. There is no way this man is missing out on a pay day no matter what the % is. 2% is better than 0%.

I'm not having any of the nonsense gossip that his percentage is holding this deal up. Imagine ruining someone's career just because you wanted a bigger piece of cake? Pogba would just sack him if he did wreck this transfer for him. Not worth it.
Pogba will never sack Raiola.

So been asleep for the past 8 hours. What did I miss? Anyone give me a quick update?

1. La Stampa say Pogba won't return to Italy when due back

2. Raiola is trolling everyone again

3. Fabrizio Romano: Raiola tweet is normal because his fee is the "missing piece" atm.

4. Jose said in careful words that woodward was working on the last transfer (pogba), but refused to name pogba openly.

Because the greedy sod wants his 20% and the deal won't be done until that happens.

No one is being greedy, when Pogba moved to Juventus he didn't got paid and Pogba and the agreement was that he and Pogba would get 20% of the next transfer. The 20% are supposed to be Pogba's and Raiola's initial signing bonuses.

Yep, Mourinho and Raiola are not overly friends, his agent is Mendes.

Concerning your point of City being above United, that's pure speculation and I can't wait to start next year to prove it on the field. United is not just buying players, the club has some of the brightest talents lined up and one of them already scored against City while we had a negative philosophy. Pogba and all the other new signings are going to change that.

I'm really looking forward to the season too.

May the best team win and if that happens to be Utd I will come on here and congratulate one and all !

I remember i kept saying that i thought the Vidal, Sneijder abd Ramos stories were manufactured sagas from the press. I'm now wondering if the same is happening here and I've just been sucked in too this time.

If all these papers are wrong and just following the lead of other news outlets, making it seem more credible through sheer number of reports, this could write easily be a load of bollocks.

Hopefully you're right. And I can see that there's probably nothing strange with Marotta's comment. But why would Raiola, by himself, announce on his Twitter account, that there is no deal, if in fact there is a deal that's close to being finalised? I would just like to here for what reason that could be? I fail to see what could be gained by making such a statement. Do you have a guess?
Youre seem fairly new to the muppet season. This is what happens during summers. Everyone gives you negative news. You need to strong and be positive. If its good news believe it. If its bad news its bullshit. That concept will get you through muppet season.

Call Raiola's bluff.

Buy Matuidi and James. 100m will ALWAYS be a lot of dough.

THATS the level we are at with this bid, the level where if it dont happen = No biggie.

Media saying it's now a done deal, Juventus want €120m and United are willing to pay. The only thing holding it up is the add-on's for Pogba's agent and other minor details. Pogba has his bags packed and will not return to Turin when his holiday is over on August 7th.

All of this seems to have stemmed from that French newspaper that published the article last night. He's as good as signed or so it seems.

Raiola has recently Tweeded that there is no deal done for Paul Pogba.

That's about it.

Pogba always seems to post a picture of his hair after he gets it cut.I honestly think he might have got it dyed red or had a trident shaved into it and hasn't posted a pic of it after what the barber said not to give anything away.

Raiola maybe like to wum but at least it's clear the deal isn't imminent.

Could be another week at least.

Call his bluff by signing his other client Matuidi?

Anyway this is pretty much a done deal. Seems like only minor issues need to be sorted before its official

With my second last post for the day, since you are the top poster in this thread, the updates are as follows:

1. Pogba telling everyone to give him space he is on holiday
http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/footbal...news/paul-pogba-im-on-my-holidays_277156.html

2. Mourinho tight lipped on transfer, quoted saying:
"I don't confirm and I don't deny," Mourinho told reporters at a press conference this morning. "I cannot tell you.
"I don't think it is correct to speak about players of other clubs. My directors did a fantastic work to do 75% of the job I ask them to do. I gave them a few options. We have just 25% to do until 31 August.
"We are in great conditions to have a great market. We are calm. We have three faces to fill the profile. I am confident Mr Woodward will get the player we need to get a good balance."

3. That troll of a Jenniy Lizarazo "journalist" saying don't believe anything the media is saying even though she called Benzema for Arsenal

4. Mino saying the deal aint done, more like he needs to get his cut still.

5. and as you just saw, the Barber confirmed it as much :D

Lets hope its announced tomorrow.

Ok now I have to leave my last post just in case it is announced today :D

Pogba will never sack Raiola.
If you were about to become to world record transfer fee and some guy who makes a living off you ruins the deal because he wants a gold plated mansion instead of a gold plated bungalow, you'd sack him tomorrow. If Raiola doesn't have Pogba's best interests at heart (no matter what the motivation), Pogba would have gotten rid by now.

Ok then, Sign Gomes and James, purposely linking two Mendes clients.

Nah, not really. Been following ins and outs pretty closely since around David Beckham, Veron and RVN. But I'm probably just getting a bit too "involved" with this one. And let's not forget the Hazard, Lucas, Sneijder, Thiago, Vidal sagas etc. although I will give you that this one does seem a bit closer. But I still do believe this will most likely happen - I'm just taking some(maybe too many) precautions. But I think it's strange that both Marotta and Raiola publicy deny the deal if it is in fact so close to being done, which seems to be the consensus.

Don't think it's "clear" at all. He's just pouring cold water on that l'Equipe piece (and others) which suggested a deal had been agreed. The correct reports are from Di Marzio et al. who are saying there's still certain things to be agreed. It's already moved quite quickly this week, I'm confident we'll get another big break today or tomorrow.

I am getting a Vidal vibe from this saga.

:lol::lol: Shut up you clown

Finally got around to watching today's presser, and for the first time I feel that this is done. I didnt want to get drawn into this due to the disappointment from Vidal, Thiago, etc, however the conviction and the way Mourinho spoke tells me this one is done lads
