It would be incredibly refreshing to have a midfielder in the team with a world class ceiling.

We have had so much mediocrity in midfield for years now.

Makes others looks like Action figures seriously. Would elevate just any team.

Seen enough in just 20 mins vs Romania to know that whoever signs him next will boss euro football for next 5 years.

If he is willing to consider us, we shud forget the past and break the bank for him.

A midfield monster

 At the reactions in this thread. He's a very good player but he's played a half hour against fecking Romania and France are still drawing 0-0. Hardly a masterclass for the ages.

Now I'm a Pogba fan but without doubt tonight he's flattered so far don't see why everybody is spunking over him on tonight performance so far.

Is it only me or Pogba doesn't look the special talent that everyone is touting him as.

Yes he is strong and fast and has decent ball control but till now he only has had a couple of good touches on the game and nothing more.

Maybe there is more to come.

Maybe but he had shown that a masterclass is on its way

He's possibly the most overrated player, ever.

One of, definitely.

They are hardly controlling midfield against Romania and people are saying he is having a great game.

Btw, I think he is good, but nowhere near the hype.

Jesus, you guys overrate him so much. What has he shown today to get such praise?

He's been bang average so far. A couple neat long passes to switch the ball to the other flank but there are so many player in today's football who specialize in that and put out passes like that every minute.

I have to agree, I've seen very little in this game so far.

If we can get Pogba it will be a dream signing. If we can't and it means Madrid need to get rid of Kroos and we can have him then that's a win as well.
I'm not getting my hopes up as Madrid always end up getting what they want . I'd take modric or kroos as consolation though .

For some reason to me he doesn't look like a Mourinho midfielder at all. Kante definitely is.

Maybe it's just becauze we've been starved of inventive midfield players for so long anything good looks amazing!!

I think although he's obviously a good player most people listen to pundits too much and read papers and believe everything .
He's obviously got the X factor if clubs are willing to pay the figures quoted .

You can tell people don't watch Pogba much. If they expected him to press and be a box to box engine, then they were wrong. He's a luxury players, who needs energy around him.

Don't get me wrong, though, he's an excellent player, and I would love him at United. We'd need the right midfielders around him, though.

Hes obviously a fantastic player, not sure why people are losing their wig about it tbh. Hes not a player who dictates a game right now, he can decide games though in brilliant moments.

Also whats with all the judgements on 45 mins of football

People are too quick to make judgements.

It's been one half, where France has been quite poor. I'm sure he'll have a very good tournament.

I don't watch him too often, but when I do, he looks like he's all arms and legs, overrunning it a lot and trying to sprint to the other side of players and outmuscle em.
I don't realty like him, or see the appeal, bar height and energy.

Hoddle loves him though. Just controlling the ball seems to get him all wet,

The difference between Iniesta and Pogba is that Pogba loves to run with the ball while Iniesta understands that the ball is always faster than even the fastest guy on the pitch. Pogba would have been great in the 90's. Today they play a different kind of football.

From the initial few posts a page back, some posters jizzing their shorts as soon as the game started.

Can't judge him by his body language or contribution over 90 mins, but he has the ability to change games. Let's see how he deals with the pressure and the expectations of a nation.

You do know he's only 23 and still learning the game?

He's already arguably the most all rounded midfielder in the world.

Yes, he needs to improve on some aspects of his game, but that will come with experience.

No one is saying he is bad after 45 minutes, people are actually criticising those who are saying that he's been great in this half based on one pass.
