Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

If they Juv are not willing to part with Pogba for 100m we should more on and tell them to go f**k themselves.

Go after Koke, Níguez or Verratti instead, they will probably half. Have spare change left over for Mahrez..
Koke and Verratti for half  You're living in cloud cuckoo land there. I doubt PSG would sell Verratti for double, and we'd have to pay Koke's release clause which is over €100m.

I was just thinking, could Raiola actually be handling the transfer because he's also going to tell Juve that pogba is going to leave?

All the reports claim Pogba has to ask to leave. What better way than your agent slapping MUFC's offer on the table and telling the board he wants to leave? Pogba doesn't actually have to say it at a press conference or anything like that, Raiola can do all the work.

£60M then.
At least we won be spending £120M or whatever the cost is for Pogba.

BTW: what are The Sun reporting?
Whatever they say will or is happening, the opposite is actually happening.
So, The Sun can offer a good indication of what is really happening. ;)

Their last report was on Friday and they said the deal will be concluded over the weekend. So this meant the deal would not be done over the weekend...which is what happened.

You're mad. Firstly, Koke is not leaving Atleti. Secondly, Veratti would cost as much as Pogba and he's even harder to buy!

From your suggestions, it's either £80-100M for Pogba, or nothing. It's your choice, what would you take? Stick with what we've got?

It's almost hard to believe you're not a hot shot CEO, man.

What is there to actually learn about becoming a BigWig like Ed? As far as I can see, as long as you know how to make toilet rolls out of pound notes you've made the grade.

Well, amongst all the "too much money not worth it blah blah blah" talk, it's good to see it's progressing.

No doubt Juve are going to milk us for as much as possible, I can see it going on another 2 weeks BUT I do think we will reach an agreement.

Nothing about this is normal to be honest. Manchester United are literally sitting back and making the agent do the deal. Thats really not that normal

Agents quite often act on behalf of the buying club as well as the player, actually.

You should go become a CEO then, show them how it should be done.

Yes. You are right.
Yes, You are right.
Welcome to the world of Raiola and Woodward. Raiola doesn't go to the bathroom without sending out a press release first. And Woodward is obsessed with showing he (and United) and going for the best players.
A world record purchase will be hyped up more than a routine one. This is why we're seeing the posturing. Pogba is obviously open to a move, otherwise we would not bid. Juve have let it be known that he can be sold for a record fee. The Madrid statements support this as well.

It has a Champs-Élysées feel about and is just a procession...Hopefully.

Verratti are you serious? Off PSG?

Think we did the same when signing Mata from Chelsea

As well as banning WUM's and posters spouting off-topic shite, can we also ban those who are saying we could get players like Verratti for half the price we're bidding for Pogba.

There's zero chance you would get Verratti for £60m.

Juve are such a small time club.

You got the player for free, now the club that developed the player wants him back and is willing to give you 100 million for him, why are they being such tight arses over another 10 million. You are getting a deal of the century stop being so greedy

Are you getting irate with Juve for rejecting the bid before they've actually rejected it, based on some caf posters saying they think the 1st bid will be rejected? Exercise some self control mate!

PSG would laugh their ass off at a 100m Euros bid for Verratti, they operate under sheiknomics. And if we somehow got him to hand in a transfer request by offering him 250k\week they would just offer him 350k\week.

You can't buy players of the sugardaddy clubs, as long as the players themselves doesn't absolutely insists and throws their toys of out the pram.

Everyone knows how this dance goes. Raiola has spoken to Juve, who have indicated a price that they'd be willing to accept for the player. He, in turn, has spoken to clubs to let them know what the player would cost and what his personal terms are. Then we - or whoever - cosy up to the agent, tell him to let Juve know we'll pay x amount and the offer is presented to Juve. This old fashioned idea that we sit across a table from them and work from there ignores the hundreds of hours already spent on the deal by various parties. It might not happen. He might go elsewhere. He might stay. We might not match Juve's price. They might change their minds. We might change ours. But the idea that it's gotten to this based upon little more than us thinking Paul Pogba would be quite a nice signing and "no harm in asking, I suppose" is a bit naive, IMO.

That's actually fairly normal, that's a huge part of Mendes and Raiola's job. Sometimes people like Raiola, Mendes and others negotiate for players they don't even represent.

Also a thing to keep in mind when talking about his price. There is a fair chance Real Madrid will buy him for a similar amount in 3-4 years. So its not like we will make a loss or are throwing away 100m. And if not, then we have Pogba for longer which is better for us anyway.

I think we should, it's extremely tedious and plain wrong to hear people say we could say Koke and Veratti for half the price. No you fecking can't! They also keep making the same point over and over.

Are you crazy? Do you know who runs the club at PSG? They dont need money. They are also looking to win the Champions League. 60m is really chump change for these guys. Maybe if you offer them 150m it might happen but for due to the fact that they need money but just for sheer ludicracy of it.

Pogba is not worth 100m+ in comparison to other players, those figures are for the Bales, Ronaldo, Neymar and Messi. The player is worth what the club is prepared to pay. I mean was Carroll worth 35m? well he was to Liverpool
If we do sign Pogba for over 100m, it will set precedent for players like Koke being worth 100m.
Its only last year Vidal went from Juv for just over 30m.... I dont see how Koke is then a 100m player, certainly not to other teams, who might be in for him.

What if he doesn't renew his contract and we are forced to sell for cheap with a year remaining? We negotiated to sell De Gea for a price way below is worth because of a year remaining on his contract.

What if he fails? Is a 100m write off (~20% of our yearly revenue) nothing for this club?

Or Is he a sure thing?

We blame the fax machine again and make him sign a new deal hahaha.

Things starting to pickup it seems, getting exiting now. Deal will be done by next week I reckon

Well the agent is your way in. You cant just show up at their door step and tell them you wanna talk. You go through the agent, then he backs out of transfer fees talks and then it between you and Juve.

Then we'll agree to sell him at a low price, but at the last moment the fax machine will break down again. :)

No one's a sure thing. If he fails, then no biggie. We'll sign another 100m player next season, and life will go on.

Why would Pogba fail? He is a quality player and a lot better then what we have. We wouldnt write off 100m anyway, he would still maintain most of his price like di maria did if we were to sell him on.

Where do people get these ridiculous transfer fees from?? Do posters honestly believe you could get Veratti for anything less than United are going to pay for Pogba?? Pogba is 23, already knows united and is an experienced winner already, yes £100m is a lot of money but that's the market these days, wba have consistently turned down over £20m for Berainhio and Watford have rejected £30m for Deeney, people just need to get used to that the market is massively inflated now.

The bottom line is Pogba is worth whatever we're willing to pay for him. That's how business works across the globe. I don't even know how people on here come up with their valuations, there is never a breakdown of how they arrive at that figure. I've seen people say Pogba is worth £70m. Okay fine, why? Why not £60m? Why not £75m? I don't understand any of it, and I'm bored to death with it all really. I just want to see great players wearing a United shirt and banging in the goals each week, that's why I love football and why I fell in love with United back in the early 90's; because of the entertainment, not because of the clubs accounts. So yeah, if we pay £100m and sign Pogba then brilliant, I'll be happy. If we buy him for £120m then brilliant, I'll be happy. If we bought him for £10m then brilliant, I'd be happy, but not because we spent £10m, but because we'd have bought a great player.

£60m for Verratti

He'll cost way more than Pogba, if at all he was even up for sale. And if he was, sure as hell he wouldn't be first in line.

Not sure if serious but woodward is proabably way more qualified and a better businessman than 99.9 percent of us here. There's a reason he's in the position he's in.
