This. He is obviously stalling, buying time for Real Madrid to put together a package. Then again who can blame him.
Why are some folks on here so desperate to be optimistic and to quickly explain away every reasonable doubt that the transfer is going to happen? What's the point? If it happens, great. If it doesn't, OK, we will move on.
For my money, there are many obstacles for the deal to succeed: Juventus want to keep Pogba and are in the CL whereas United are in Europa League, Real are probably still interested and if they manage to sell Hames and Morata, they will have the money, Pogba most probably would prefer to move to Real, etc. It doesn't make sense for Pogba to want a quick resolution. It would make much more sense for him to wait and see what happens with Real or to play in the CL for another season with Juve and see what happens next summer when there will be enough big offers again. Common sense says that the transfer won't happen any time soon and sometimes (or quite often) common sense trumps ITKs.

Preferring Madrid was less understandable back when we were challenging for the top honours and in the champions league, while Real had a revolving door of players and couldn't keep up with Barcelona for titles. Pricing them out is our only hope really.
We are turning into Spurs when they tried to sign the likes of Rivaldo - claiming they were after the best players in the world knowing full well it would never happen. If we spend all summer dicking around for Pogba and go into the new season with the same midfield as last season we will look like cretins.

I think it's 50/50 simply because i have no idea what going on much like the majority or all the people on here depending on who you believe, but to say it's not happening because it not done yet doesn't make much sence to me as if that was the case then everyone's transfer business should be done by now. Whether we sign Pogba or not is really up to the player and up to Juve. At the very least we could use our position as leverage to poach Kroos from Real so that they can get Pogba. They can keep Rodriguez too.

It's not a simple deal. The main thing for the club - if they want the player, is to get the player. Once you have the player then we can try to control our end. We can only control what happens on our end. For all we know, this may all be informally agreed....but no ones going to come out and say that. If you go by what people say about Jose, he will be in contact with the agent and player - IF it is Pogba....it looks like it is but Jose won't be panicking. The club won't be panicking. The agent might be a dick, but we've worked with him a lot this summer and that is a big advantage. He's not going to lie to the club at this point. We've just signed two of his players. He will lie to the media but not the club.

To be fair what about the 1% of mods and admin moaning? This is a transfer thread. This is a forum. Anything off topic should removed or people thread banned. Most people are just talking about the deal. We're not hearing much else. Anyone with preferential treatment shouldn't be. It's the people that make a forum. Let's stop this and leave it be.
We've been trying to remove the nonsense but when you log back in and there's 10 more pages of nothing it takes a lot of effort to be bothered to try and clean it up. We ask people to keep it on topic and a few hours later it's the same shit all over again.
