GdS are a crap source. Last I read Isco was close to signing a new deal

Real Madrid are ready to offer midfielder Isco to Juventus in a bid to see off Premier League competition and land France midfielder Paul Pogba.

It seems that Florentino and Zidane want Pogba as their new galactico.
It starts. I kinda think he'll look good dressed in all white. Maybe get some orange boots

Various reasons he will/should never come back to Man Utd:

  • Mino Raiola is a player whoring, attention seeking leech and we should avoid all contact with him. (It's frustrating that he is also Zlatans agent by all accounts)
  • There's something disgusting about paying money for a player juventus took off us in a very clandestine manner - due in no small part, once again, to his agent.
  • He's overrated. The figures that seem to get bandied about are for a player of Ronaldo level and Pogba, as good as he is, isn't actually on the same plane. It's only a combination of hype and Agent/Juventus doing hidden press briefs that inflate the figure.
The way people talk about him is as if he's the next Zidane. He's great but he's not so great that we should be held to ransom for stupid money.

Yeah he met Barca board last summer and yes, there's a photo of that meeting, but even in that occasion he confirmed that Juve refused their offer.
Which turned out to be true since Paul played with us last season. :D
Now, again, he said that they we won't sell him... and I have no reason to believe that he's lying.
I can see this happening only if Paul himself asks to leave... but there's no clues about that either.
He always said that he's happy at Juve... after the Italian Cup final he said to a RAI journalist that "everyone at Juve wants UCL now" (see here at 0:30) and he recently denied a possibile Barca move by himself on his FB page (see here).

Sorry buddy but I think Paul will ask to leave this summer. May not be to us but somewhere. How much are you guys paying him?

Paul Pogba is a hugely talented player but the speculated prices quoted for him in the press are way over the top . I can't ever see Real Madrid or anybody paying over 100 million € for him when the eventual transfer would happen it would probably in the range 65-80€. Pogba is still very much a work in progress what is his best position is he a CM or more suited to play CAM . Last season he played as most advanced midfielder for Juventus his numbers were very good but not great . Neither his current level as a player nor his future potential could justify paying world record transfer fee of 120 € .

I think that the current contract is €4,5M per year but it can definitely be improved.
Plus... why would he leave a club that is getting better and better?
Let's be honest... Buffon is still a beast... our defence is great and next season our full-backs will be Dani Alves-Alex Sandro... can't see many clubs that actually has a better pairing...
We're signing Pjanic too so the midfield can be Marchisio-Khedira-Pogba-Pjanic... I'm a Juve fan so I'm biased but it's not easy to find something way better than that either.
And we have Dybala up-front who is a real gem (and has a good relationship with Paul by the way). :)
He's happy here, the club is competitive and the board doesn't want to sell him.
Let him win at least one UCL with us, then maybe you can have him in 2018... please! :D

Is this a joke, Sky reporting that we do not have a buy back clause w Juve over Pogba

He wasn't sold. He left.

Wow you're really sour arent you since a player chose another team over us? How exactly did Juventus take Pogba off our hands in a "clandestine manner"?

Highly doubt it will happen but I can't understand how some people dislike him leaving us. He did the best thing for his career and rightly so.

So much crap in this post.
He represents a player and does his best for him. How is he an attention seeker?
How was he taken from us in a clandestine manner? His contract was up and he didn't renew.
Overrated? That's a load of nonsense. Just watch France in the Euro's.

Can't imagine being so bitter over this so long after, it's madness. We kidnapped him first anyways.

Well said. The irony of people complaining about the manner of him leaving when we took him from a club he'd been at since he was a kid for peanuts is staggering.

He left because he felt he wasn't being given a chance, while worse players than him were. He took a risk, moved on and proved not only that he was good enough, but that he had the strength of character to move to another country (again) and force his way into a top side. Fair play to him.

Money.

he is overrated though. How is suggesting he's not on Ronaldo's level right now "nonsense"? He's a fantastic footballer, just not one of the best on the planet and yes I will watch the Euro's, let's see if he fulfills that potential.

I have a distaste for agents trying their best to get players moved on from clubs - I know every side is guilty of it and we "poached" Pogba from Le Havre in the first place, it doesn't make it right.

There should be a more robust tribunal system in place for players about to go out of contract in the EU to disincentivise teams from attempting to take players from academies in other countries or do what Spurs did with Zeki Fryers at the same time.

If you don't think Raoila made a fortune out of these sorts of deals you're naive.

I'm pretty triggered by that "MAN UTD HAVE NO BUYBACK CLAUSE"
Click bait on sky sports to be fair. explained the clandestine bit
Elsewhere won't regurgitate it here.

Anyway I am sure if mourinho wants him he won't care about anything I have written and has previous anyway for re signing players with Matic a case in point so if he's gonna go for him that's great but I won't shed muppety tears if we don't.

Because, Real. You guys sold them Zidane when you were Real's equal or even better in terms of competitiveness, and when Italian football was still regarded as the best quality in Europe. If they want him, they'll get him.

*snip*

NP, we'll buy Dybala as well.
-Quanto costa?
* Etroppo costosi
- Sounds fair enough...

We got Woodie!

Seems that Pogba is this year's unrealistic target that we won't buy as usual. Good click bait for the media all summer.

Journalism really is a piece of piss
Football journalism certainly seems that way, doesn't it? For all I know, most of these twats are failed writers who are stealing a living.

They're proper morons.

I think nothing is "as usual" this year. We are itching for a big name signing and I dont think Zlatan alone will cut it.
Also Jose has wanted Pogba for a long time, Juventus wouldn't be averse to selling if the price is right.

I think it is a long shot but Pogba isnt totally out of the question.

This does stand out to be fair. He is a strong character who believes in himself and just knew he was going to be a top player. Naturally he must've thought the players playing ahead of him were rubbish as he probably mugged them off all day in training. Rio said in training they knew he was good enough for the 1st team. Evra also. So did Buffon at who said after 2 weeks of training they knew he was a first team player.

I am not getting my hopes up. We have 1 huge muppet story every summer and it never works out.

Don't be fooled don't be fooled don't be fooled

This isn't going to go away until someone else signs him and it goes down in the media as another target missed.

This one already died, Juve have already said numerous times he is going nowhere this summer.

Wise decisions.
Manchester United have made contact over a deal for Paul Pogba but the Juventus midfielder is waiting to see if Real Madrid make a move, multiple sources have told ESPN FC.
Obvious this lad will go to Real.

I do believe Real would be hist first choice, especially with the Zidane factor.
If real get someone stupid enough to pay what they are asking for James (80m), he is as good as theirs.

Our only hope is to make him (and his agent) an offer they cannot refuse.

Ah...that's where we come in.

As well....on the bright side to end up with Zlatan and James isnt the end of the world is it?
Also both James and Pogba are seriously overpriced, but such is the market these days.

Having said that I dont think he would be getting James as he and Rooney occupy the same spot and Jose has said he wants to utilize Rooney.
Unless Jose wants to play James at RW and IMO he would be wasted out there.
