I've previously said that Pogba maybe worth £50m, for a club that has lots of money and is willing to take a gamble. Otherwise, if Pogba is worth even a third of the £100m price being mooted then I'm a Dutchman ... and that's not just based on his tournament showing.

From what I've seen he rarely takes games by the scruff the neck and imposes himself, but instead seems to walk and jog around, make lots of sideways and backwards passes (often back to the player he's just received it from, as if he doesn't want the ball), with the occasional fancy flick or trick to usually no great effect.

He's big and strong and a good player, can drive forwards some times to good effect, but really not much more than that. For £100m you'd expect world class - the absolute crème de la crème - but he's not remotely that.

If he comes back to United and the Prem I predict he'll disappoint massively.

Agree. And yet some on here say they'd happily pay £100m+ for Kane.
 
The maximum Mourinho spent on a player is 32 million. If he thinks Pogba is worth it, he obviously trusts the players ability.

he was clearly instructed to be a deep midfielder. At times he even dropped into CB when Umtiti or Kosch drove up the pitch.

Deschamps is an idiot. Pogba should never be mopping up after Sissoko or Matuidi. He should be up the pitch playing off Griezmann.

I would rather have a 40 year old Ibra than Kane, how can anybody sane even compare the two players? It is like comparing a vintage e-type with a new Ford Fiesta, they are a million miles apart.

I'm not trying to convince anyone ... and I already know what I think. As I've said before, I actually hope United do blow £100m on Pogba, or £150+m including wages. Some United fans like to pretend that this sum would be nothing to United, but in reality it would have a significant effect on your future spending capacity.

Well, yes of course! Its utterly absurd, but I suppose its about supply and demand at this point. Juve dont need to sell and Woody is desperate for a marquee signing.
 
Despite that final, he is still a top player and I want him. But 100 million seems a bit too much. Hopefully, his anonymous performance in the final will bring his price down a notch

You're reading it reverse. In this composition, Pogba is the advanced one, TFM and Matuidi are supporting him as DM.
 
Juve haven't developed his game one bit. He still has the same deficiencies as he had when he was coming through our youth team. They've enabled him to play on pure talent alone by surrounding him by players that form a safety blanket for him.

But we're not looking at the finished article here. With good coaching he'll go far, he has every string to his bow as a midfielder. That's what we're paying for.
