Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

would love to have back pogba but £100m being thrown around is crazy.

I guess it's not my money though...

He is overrated partly because of his streaky brilliance and immense potential plus his overall persona. His age, potential and marketability all matter though. And certainly, if he fails, whether he was bought for 60 million or 100 will not matter much. Likewise if he succeeds. As I said before, incredibly difficult to justify 100 million plus for a player who isn't an out and out forward simply because it's much harder to measure other impact areas. But anyone disappointed with this if it happens has got be thinking too much..

Time to rewatch this

I think the bid is real, Pogba might have agreed to earn an outrageous amount of money, but those reports of Juventus rejecting 120M EUR worry me! As a minimum Raiola should have made sure the amount was the one that would break Juventus stance. Otherwise, this sounds foolish!

Isn't Di Marzio' English speaking mouth piece (Amoyal) saying he thinks he is more likely to stay at Juve than go to United or Real.

It would be really strange if an agreement is not reached. Last thing I was told is that an agreement is close.

Say what? His average ranking across those 8 stats is 68th.
Yes because his pass accuracy was 254th lol. Nice try though. He's in the top 50, and even top 25 for the important ones. The fact that he came 254th in one of them shows that these results are out of at least 254 midfilders.
God you are annoying Glaston, how you have avoided the ban hammer i'll never know.

Doesn't make much sense as Di Marzio said we'd reached an agreement with Pogba.

Now is the time to be right. Hopefully Juventus thinks that kind of money is unreal and is too happy to sell right now.

He's definitely overrated. He isn't even in the top 10 midfielders in the world. But I still want him 100 million is a lot but its not my money, and he has the potential to become a complete all rounder. If Mourinho wants him, I want him

Top 10 maybe harsh but there are a few better than him. Modric, Kroos and Iniesta easily and although this will be controversial I still think Bastian when fit is right up there.

Bastion is still a top midfielder when on form, i'm surprised so many on here have pretty much written him off.

It's his own personal opinion, been saying a bid hasn't been officially launched and he doesn't see why juve would want to sell him.

Obviously he's ignoring the boatload of cash Ed is about to dump in Turin. I feel he doesn't want the transfer to happen, rather than feeling logically.

Totally he is towing a caravan but his class is just out there for me. Best midfielder (when fit) in the premiership for me.

If you take the fact that covers the top 5 leagues in Europe, those stats are pretty damn impressive. The only diodgy stat is pass accuracy, but again that comes down to the type of player he is, he's very forward thinking, he's NOT a sideways Joe.

I get the feeling the people looking at this and saying 'he's overrated' are thinking these stats are only for the Italian legue.

How about without the joint 254th ball possession

For someone who made the FifaPro11 and is regarded top 3 CM by that metric, I found these stats kind of moody. He stands out in dribbling and assists. It may not be so easy dribbling like this when under high pressure in England but who knows...

100m is my objection , because it's a temporary spend he'll most likely leave in 2-3 yrs , anleka redux , and for less than half.
What makes you think we'll sell him for less? he is nothing like di maria and I think he'll be a huge star in the PL. When Madrid come for him in the future, we'll take a player plus cash.

Bastian is truly overrated. Plays very average. His injuries and age have caught up with him. It's like someone buying Rooney now and being optimistic about it because he's Wayne Rooney, instead of watching his decline like fans have for the last several years.

Pogba on the other hand is far from being overrated. It's like signing a young Messi/Ronaldo, but in the midfield, before they before un-sellable. He's built for the PL.

Exactly, stats don't tell you the whole story and mean little really oither than a guidline. How many of his assists were important assists, how many of his goals were match winning/match turning goals, how many of his tackles were huge potential goal stopping tackles, same with all the stats.
The only stats that kind of show something 'factual' are assists and goals, and he's in the toip 10 for those.

Getting fecking boring now! He's either gonna sign or he ain't. Hate when these things drag on. Better not be a Berbatov/Fellaini/Falcao last minute thing! I would just say sod you and move on. The first three signings were easy as they all WANTED to join United. If he's holding out for Real, feck him!

Like you ever wanted him to sign

Getting boring? This has just started mate. This thread has great potential to break page record and end up with one of the greatest transfer disappointments ever.

He's still in the Euro's, this was never going to be completed until the Euros are over. The earliest this transfer will be sorted is next week some time but even that maybe optimistic.

He is seriously overrated, but still the only midfield talent I would take over him today is Veratti, who is impossible to sign.

Would much rather have Kroos for £60m and Kante for his release clause though (the two of them, not just one), that would take us to about £80-85m or so. Still some money left as compared to the Poggers deal.

Both players probably want to come to Manchester less than Pogba. And who are their agents?

No....Pogba is the get because his agent wants it and Pogba is familiar with Manchester. Oh, and Juve wants the $$$.

Lucas Moura for me, i was gutted beyond imagine when we fecked that up because of stupid agent fees. Yes Moura hasn't fulfilled his potential so far but at the time, i really thought he was taylormade for our team (wing play was huge in our game at that time).:(

Sky Italia now reporting that Juventus are going to reject the 120 million euros.

Now it begins....

To be fair, it was a bit stupd by us to go in so high as our starting offer.
I wouldn't worry too much though, no team would be stupid to turn down that amount of money, except maybe Barca with Messi.

The last thing everybody wants is for this stupid transfer to drag out even if we do successfully sign him. Looking like that's exactly about to happen. Why can't everything just be easy?
we won't offer more than 120. If they reject that, then move on I say.

If they reject 120m maybe go up to 160m but not more than 180m. That would be too much.
