With Fabrizio Romano writing that the announcement will be tuesday, Looks like nothing to see here until tomorrow morning/afternoon.

True, although could it be more likely that his job from the Italian side is now done? I'd assume this Barney chap is can be credible around United announcement timing than he is (going solely by the well received comments he's getting on this thread).

Still hasn't sunk in yet, despite the ongoing nature of the saga. Will need to see him holding the shirt.

I remember refusing to enter this thread because I thought no way would we be in for him.

Hopefully there is an announcement tonight with photos, interviews and whatever Adidas comes up with..

What a thread this has become.. One for the ages.. I'll admit my inner Muppet was broken after Thiago and Vidal fiasco and I wasn't sure we'd pull it off and kept mostly away from this thread. I also wasn't sure he was the right signing at that price right in the beginning of the speculation, but got converted after reading some excellent points and was hoping we could do it.

Throughout the saga, this thread and website was a great help in me not seeking out news and articles as it was covered wall to wall by tireless and dedicated muppets. You guys deserve all the glory and fame that this thread and it's record. Take a bow. :)

I cannot wait to see the new thread in our player performance sub forum for Pogba. Hopefully tonight is the night.

We're not going to wait till tomorrow surely. I am estimating 2 more hours. Before this thread gets locked -

Welcome back home Paul Pogba.

Come on Pogba/United/Adidas make it tonight so I can help the Mrs paint the walls, she keeps asking me to help....

Can't you welcome him in the 'official he signed' thread in the main forum.

I thought the days of getting up in the morning and checking this thread first thing before heading to work were over. I hope that Romano is wrong about the announcement being tomorrow. I'd love for it to be "official" with photos, etc. tonight so he can get straight to training tomorrow. It's still early enough here in the States that any media blitz unleashed tonight would resonate all day with yank United fans.

Can we just see him in the shirt already? :nervous:

What is strange about it?
That it's all seemingly done and dusted - he's even passed his medical according to Fabrizio Romano. Why keep it a secret/delay it anymore? Can't take that long to make a short interview/take a few photos and announce it. But they're probably trying to take it one step further and coordinate it with adidas etc...

Edit: And if they want as much attention as possible, I would think tonight is a better time to announce it than tomorrow.

How much of the fee is for the club that developed the player? United paying itself! Bargain!

I couldn't be more excited to have Pogba back into the fold! That said, it will be a real test of the boy's mental fortitude, as the English press and opposing fans will be ruthless with him, given the transfer fee. I think he's plenty strong enough to withstand the scrutiny, and may even revel in it, but the criticism will be cringe-worthy at times, I suspect.

I can't believe I've read 1059 pages of this thread! Scary!

Is there a bigger bellend that Souness?

Former Newcastle and Liverpool manager Graeme Souness said: "I think you can be kidded by Pogba because when he moves he's like a Rolls Royce, but I've never seen him get hold of a game and dominate.

"I don't see him changing that many games. It's not like they've bought a Luis Suarez who will get you 50 goals a season."

50 in Spain yes in what is effectively a two/three horse race.

The bitterness is something else.

The first part of what Souness said is what I've been saying about him as a midfielder too. We'll see. Hopefully he'll prove the doubters wrong.

Yes! We did it! We made it to page 1059!
