Paul Pogba racially abused on social media

Who could be the culprit, I wonder?

The image is copyrighted to Eamonn & James Clarke who seem to be paparazzi type photographers (a lot of shots from around the Manchester area). So it would seem to be real.

To imply that it was more than one person (using the plural) and Manchester United fans is a leap at this stage. But it’s not like the newspapers to make stuff up.

I did hear a rumour that Mino Raiola was seen buying a few tins of red spray paint from All-In-One D.I.Y last night.
(That’s a joke by the way)

just saw Paul’s instagram post , what a powerful post. i resonate with him on the thoughts for our future generations or for that matter the current one that it should never be “us” against them. more power to him on the humane side, performance wise many things could be debated. more power to him.
That was indeed a great great post.

What is wrong with our fan base, seriously? The transfer window is shut, I couldn't imagine what would happen if Pogba left. He feels like a different player this season, more motivated and contributes so much to our style of play. Maybe if he wasn't racially abused, we might have beat Palace. Were in a transitional period, just get behind the team.

Nevermind a City fan. I've seen enough docos on paps to know that's exactly the kind of thing they'd do.

SSN reporters have sometimes given shirts for supporters to burn in their 'outrage'.

Truly disgusting the length and how low some 'fans' will go through to try to crap on our own players that they don't like...

Pathetic if it was some rival fans but more shameful if it came from some top reds

It was Zidane. He got past security by hiding the spray can in his turn-ups.

Genuinely scary to think there's a part of our fanbase who want to see this current squad play without Pogba. I know horror is a popular genre, but some people are much braver than me.

The last letter doesn't look like a T. Pogba Our? Pogba Oui? Whoever did it should be ashamed of their work.

Funny you should say that, when I first saw it I read it as 'Pogba Oui'.
But then again I did get a 'U' in my GCSE French. So I'm no expert.

'Pogba Out...raged by crap graffiti'

Anyone who thinks another clubs fans aren't capable of doing this are moronic. Just because it was in red paint doesn't mean it's a United fan. It could have been Paul himself if he really set on moving to RM. It could have been his fatty agent.

Well they told me I'd be lucky to get a U, but I got an E. That learned them.

We should try to trademark the phrase "Pogba Oui" before Liverpool do.

Or maybe it could be one of the absolute bellends who gave him (and even god damn Marcus Rashford, who is local lad and came up through the academy!) racist abuse on Twitter and Instagram, or someone very much like them? There are United supporters who are racists and are capable of racist things, and you're fooling yourself if you think otherwise. Stop trying to defend racists and racism.

Where did I insinuate United supporters can't be racists? I also have no fecking idea how you took my post as defending racists and racism.
My last two sentences were 100% sarcasm but I guess you missed that. I surely wouldn't put it past rival fans to wind up the player and supporters.

Oh no, I didn't miss that. I just didn't think it was worth commenting on. And let's be honest, when you're saying "anyone who thinks another clubs fans aren't capable of doing this are moronic" you pretty much are suggesting that the culprit being another team's supporter is the likelier (or at least LIKELY) option, because anyone who doesn't believe that is a moron. Personally I don't think that's a very likely option, but of course I can't rule it out as I was not there.

In my opinion the far likelier option is that it's a racist United supporter, considering racists and far right wingers in general are getting bolder in recent times, and especially considering Pogba (and even a local academy graduate) has been subject to open racist abuse by United supporters in recent weeks. This is just an extension of that, and the line has to be drawn before things escalate to even more shameful heights. By trying to deflect and excuse this by claiming that it very well could've been a City supporter or something, you are very much defending and enabling racists even if it's not your direct intention. Instead of that, we have to admit that some United supporters are racists and capable of this kind of stupidity, and confront it when we see it.

Of course they are, I don't know what world you guys live in, but most of the Ultras of all the clubs in the world hold ultra right-wing views, when was the last time you were in football outside of England? Racist gestures and screams, bananas, flags, etc. are spread all over Europe, unfortunately for today it is normal.

Brilliant comment, well said mate.
