This is a better kickstarter to your day than vodka+red bull. Brilliant stuff. Not sure I could possibly get more excited about the new season.

Woody and Jose are the new Bruckheimer/Bay!

The city of Turin hasn't been this pissed with England since we robbed all their gold.

Got away with another nice haul tonight
Dennis Law  Also a record iirc.

May Pogba be as successful with us!

Judging by the interview, it was never in doubt, was it? He looks genuinely happy to return here. The stuff he says and his demeanor, as soon as we were involved no other club had a chance. It is quite possible that Madrid knew that they just can't lure him away.

POGBACK

For those asking about the next game - I`m sure he will feature and come on as a sub. The other players are not that far ahead in terms of fitness.

I'm sure Marca/AS will spin some of their usual bollock propaganda though.

Awesome to see him back - can't wait for FIFA17 now :)

And fair play to Woody for pulling it off; paid a fair price, and didn't cave on the agent fee either. 40 odd million quid a year is not much for a player of Pogba's potential, and the price would have even been less if not for Brexit.

Well fair play to Jose, here a few months and manages to pull off 4 brilliant signings, two of which are top of their positon. They say money talks but would either of them have played for Moyes or LVG? Not a hope!

Imagine someone who went to coma last December , just woke up

To Mourinho,Zlatan,Pogba and Mikhi

If someone said last year that this is how united will look like next year, I would have laughed at them for sure.:D

Well done woody

This is historic; a real game changer. Will always be referred to in the future when people are arguing over what time the club will make an official announcement.

Leaving us really helped his 'brand' grow that's for sure. I doubt we'd be getting rap videos if Fergie had simply given him an opportunity at the time (and not ultimately cost us over £100 million :nono:).

There were loads of people calling him a mercenary or money grabber, when it was clearly just a fantastic decision from all aspects to leave at the time. Now let's just hope his return proves to be the right decision on our part. It certainly gives the whole club a confidence boost. Our team actually looks strong on paper again.

I'm a little annoyed this happened in the middle of the night, considering all the hours I've spent muppeting and f5-ing in the transfer thread.

First time a huge player in his prime has come to the Prem instead of left it.

Aye good point.

Could argue Ibra, but he was a free so I suppose it doesn't really count.

Might signal a return of the Premier League dominance in Europe.

Aguero, Silva, Yaya, Ozil, Sanchez, Ballack, Schvchenko, Veron, Costa...just to name a few.

Some of those weren't in their prime when they joined or weren't wanted by their clubs. Some were coming in their prime. I suppose what I mean was it's nice to see a big saga ending with the player coming here rather than the usual Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern.

That's true.

This 23 year old who is starting to ascend towards his peak. These type of signings usually go to Madrid, Barca or Bayern. So glad we got this done.

I'm also happier that a pig in shit about this. Watched him in reserves in his first stint and said he would be a world beater....absolutely wounded when he left...absolutely no now he's home.

What's gotten into us announcing transfers in the middle of the night?

Welcome home Paul - I expect nothing but excellence!

It's great to take away one of the best players from one of the best clubs in the world even without having any semblance of stability and the lure of Champions League.

Mkhitaryan - Arguable the best player in Bundesliga or at least in top 3 last season. (highest assists in Bundesliga, highest rated player by whoscored.com)

Zlatan - Without any doubt the best in French league (highest goals and 2nd highest assists in French league - highest rated player by whoscored.com)

Pogba - Maybe the best or in top 3 last season in Serie A. (highest assists in Serie A - highest rated player by whoscored.com)
