Paul Pogba | Back in full training

I do not think anything he does from now to the end of the season will have impact on value for him.

If he has a good 3 months, his value is not suddenly going to go to £200m.

So we should play Pogba and forget our rebuild? Lets play games of football knowing Pogba wont be there? That is a dumb move.

You want to play with players you know are committed to the club.

That's naive to say the least. It's a Euros summer. He needs to prove his fitness and show some form in order to first get selected for France and then to start games for them. If he does well in the Euros his value could rocket, like it did after the WC. But he needs to have a couple of good months of club football under his belt to precipitate all that.

If he doesn't play again, he might not even get picked by Deschamps. Or more likely he might be a squad option instead of a starter, due to lack of form.

Still not buying "the saviour is back" malarkey. He doesn't want to be here and he's definitely not been out all this time this season genuinely. I think him and Raiola have been playing a clever game to get United to lower their asking price. He's only played 6 games and not even had a serious injury ffs. It's been a total farce.

I'm not even sure Ole will put him back in the team straight away personally. Fred has been playing really well, Bruno is now the main man in the midfield and Mctominay is now back. Matic hasn't even done too badly recently either.

Leave the dabbing prat out I say. How can having a high profile player like him playing, who clearly wants to leave, be good for team morale? It can't.

From Deschamps's point of view, Pogba and every other players that are in doubts need to ideally be available in March, to see where they are. This applies for Ndombélé, Coman, Pogba, Giroud and Lucas Hernandez.

---------Martial------Greenwood

--------------------Bruno

-------------Fred-------Mctom

--------------------Matic

Subs: James, Igahlo, Mata etc

Leave Pogba out entirely. Make him train with the 23's. Don't want anyone near our first team who isn't fully committed. He hasn't been all season.

----AWB-------Maguire---Shaw---
---------------Fred---Matic--------------
McTomminay--Bruno--Pogba
-----------Martial---Ighalo------------

Feck width, lets flood the middle

Pogba likes to drift out left and martial likes to go wide. Think it would work fine.

And given that Pogba loves to play for France and (assuming he wants to leave) needs to do well for them to entice bidders, I'm in no doubt he's trying his best to come back now.

I had my doubts however he really wanted to be back earlier in the season and wasn't instead timing his operations and recuperation period with a mind to be fit and fresh for the end of the season. Because the more he plays for us the more fatigued he could be in the Euros and the higher the risk of picking up another mid-season injury. In other words, I suspected Euros were his priority which included playing the last couple of months for us.

EDIT: Obviously all conjecture on my part

So much conjecture in this post , do you have the mega millions numbers for next week as well?

You really just made up something that no one has said to argue it with yourself

Pogba brings out so much out of people I swear

As much as i resent Pogba for the way him and Raiola have acted I cant be the only one who is excited by him and Bruno running a midfield can I?

No one says the saviour is back but he is much better than our other dross. Much much better.

I am sure Pogba has had conversations with Dechamps. The Euro summer has no affect on me.

He needs to prove fitness to the French coach not Ole. His value is not going to sky rocket. We value him at £100-120m, it will not go any higher because there are not many clubs that can afford him.

If he doesn't get picked at United it will be his own doing rather than United.

So you want us to sacrifice gelling the squad for next season, playing players who want play for Manutd for Pogba to prove his fitness?

I certainly don't feel that Pogba should be walking straight back into the team when fit. A midfield three of Fred, McT and Bruno is perfectly adequate and every minute they get to gel together as a three will benefit us next season, when Pogba presumably won't be here. He and Matic on the bench and in rotation until he shows us that he is willing to fight for it. If it affects his Euros then that's unfortunate - we owe him nothing.

If he helps us get top 4, that'll be a great parting gift so feck it, when he's fit let the "virus" play!

I agree with that, only if it helps us achieve top 4. If we are out the race by the time he is back, we shouldn't.

I don't know. Fred has been playing well and Bruno must play.

Can We play Pogba, Fred, Bruno?

It's funny seeing people think he needs to play for us to be selected for France. He is literally they're main leader on then pitch with Varane.

And they wouldn't have got bear winning the world cup without him so....

Anyway will be back within 3 weeks I reckon. Shane Rashford is now out. We have never had our best team fit all season.

Well top 5 may get CL so no point doing that either. If he is fit play him. Better our players building chemistry with good players so they now how to play with lads who can pass the ball.

It really does doesn't it.

Is there a way to fit in Mctominay, Fred, Pogba and Bruno do you think?
-----------------------McT--------------------

4-4-2 diamond would be the only real way imo.

If only he brought out some effort and desire.

Yep. Matic or McTom holding.

Martial And Igalho up front. Our best team on paper by far with Rashford out

Exactly, If we can field something like this for the final 8 PL games or so we'll have top 4 in the bag. If we beat Watford and Spurs&Chavski draw this weekend it really is game on!

Yea that's fair, hopefully Bruno and Martial keep the race alive until Pogba returns then, as we don't have any other players to pin our hopes on.

He brings out a lot of effort and desire in those that are desperate enough to turn every action of his into some sort of crime.

The conspiracies are endless and the theorists continually move goal posts to suit their agenda.

TFM
McT - Fred - Pogba
Bruno

Would be a frightening midfield 5.
I'm assuming there's a back 4, so Bruno playing SS?

Think this would be better personally

I don't care what effect the Euro summer has on you, nor does it matter. I care what effect it has on price of the player and the chances of selling him.

Whatever we value him at, no one will pay £120m for a player that hasn't played in nearly a year. Market price is made by seller and buyer agreeing, not by seller only. We'd be lucky to get our money back at £80m if he doesn't feature this summer. So we need him to play and do well if we want to come off well from the Pogba bushiness. If he has a stand out tournament, wins it, makes team of the tournament... he could entice Real, Juve and PSG into a bidding war and his price could go as high as £140-150m. Which makes a huge difference and allows us to buy an extra player, or push for a really expensive transfer.

Finally we're sacrificing nothing. The team gelling for next year has absolutely nothing to do with the next 2 months. We'll be signing more players that need gelling, player will be leaving and we'll have a break, followed by pre-season and friendlies.

Also, when Pogba plays, the midfield is far more creative than it has been this season. It's not like playing him will make this team worse, is it? Lingard, James and Pereira are starting games for us ffs. If Pogba plays he boosts our chances of CL qualification. Which in turn significantly boosts our finances and our draw in the transfer market. It's in our interest that he plays for us, both from a sporting and a financial perspective.

So him playing at the Euros is going to increase his price by £60m.

Fred or Mctominay with Pogba and Bruno is our best midfield by a mile.

We'll look much better with more than 1 creative source in the midfield.

So him playing at the Euros is going to increase his price by £60m.

Did you read the post? I prefaced the price with an extremely positive scenario of him winning it and being a star player. Yes, there's a world of difference form someone not having played for 10 months and someone coming off being a star player at an international tournament.

At the very least proving his fitness and reaffirming his quality, could tempt Real/Juve to make an offer at our alleged asking price of 100-120m. Which is way more they'd be offering if he hasn't played in eons, if they offered anything at all. And as I mentioned, it's not like we sacrifice anything playing him. We're playing dross players at the moment. It's in his personal interest to play and play well for us before the season's end.

Look what else Pogba is responsible for, fecking virus.

More if we make it blindingly obvious we don'twant him then teams will offer less knowing we have no interest in keeping him.

With everyone fit then I don't think we need him, and I think he has real competition in midfield. He needs to prove himself to be in that first choice lineup.

He's been out for pretty much the entire season. Such a shame.

We are idiots of the highest order if we let him play another game.

Let Fernandes play with and get used to players who will be here next season. Why let Pogba swan in for a month or two just to get fitness for the Euros before he finally pisses off to Madrid?
