Souness will fit right in at Redcafe

This is what I’m talking about. Posters can have opinions which differ. So if you’re going to resort to blaming the forum, go find something more suitable to your tastes.
It may be a throwaway comment but a lot of hard work goes into keeping the forum afloat. So if you equate individual opinion to being somehow Caf culture you can do one

Sounnes is so full of shit it's not even funny anymore.

This shit really pisses me off cos Souness is basically able to keep repeating absolute bollocks about Pogba on national tv. Sky makes money Off winding him up and letting him go, encouraging him to feed into a nonsense narrative about Pogba being an egotist and a showoff and a chronic underachiever on national TV. This reinforces the unspoken distrust of outgoing Black athletes who are famous and successful in this country so that Sky can get more retweets. And then they say they're anti-racism.

At the end of the day it’s a forum, as long as they don’t submit to racism, homophobia, wishing injury on players etc they can post their opinions. If it’s a wum attempt that will be cracked down on too. Otherwise we turn into RAWK where people get banned for posting anything different to the moderators.

attack the post not the poster is the forum motto

Sure, but that goes both ways. If you chat shit about players based on nothing but assumptions you need to expect to be called out for them. Didn't see anyone calling for forum bans for criticising Pogba, just people ridiculing and expressing distaste at those people on here who keep attacking Pogba's personality. If a poster keeps doing that then they can expect others to think and say they have an agenda.

Nothing wrong with that as long as they remember our motto

I am not equating anything. I am exercising what this forum offers : giving an opinion. You can take this personally, don't think it matters to me. Not sure how I am blaming the forum. Don't think it is the first time someone has mentioned that here. I am making a comparison that what Souness believes is shared by many here. Hence the comment " he will fit right into here".

I believe it's a fairly innocuous statement but if you are so bothered about it I will edit and remove the comment and will stay away from Pogba thread.

How is his opinion yesterday shared by many? Everyone I saw acknowledged that he had a good game with 4 assists! Saying that he “will fit right in at Redcafe” is an insult not only to the forum but also to many of the posters. So if that’s how you truly feel you can do one

Then I suggest you to wait for few match. Maybe this wasn't clear in my response, I am not just talking about just that opinion. It's general dismissive attitude towards Pogba.

I have edited the post. And it's quite ironic that you keep telling me to do one and then preach "attack the post but not poster".

Thank you for editing the post.

Pogba is no different from any other player that gets criticism. I’d say he gets more because he costs more then I think about the nonsense that homegrown players get too

2 came in the #10 position (Bruno's first and third), 1 came on the counter (Bruno's second, when he was 20 yards ahead of the midfield line) and 1 came in the left wing position (Fred's).

None of them came from midfield.

McT's involvement and taking the initiative in playing forward passes for Bruno's first and Fred's goals are underrated here.

Good to see.

MOTM for me.

Simply majestic! His 4 assists were all of great quality - particularly the Greenwood goal.

This is the sort of performances we need to get out of Pogba on a consistent basis and if we do that, then this season could be a very special one.

Would love him to sign a new deal as performances like that show what he is capable of. Just needs to do it more consistently.

The pass for Greenwood’s goal was unreal but I also think the pull back for Fred’s goal is brilliant too. It would have been so tempting to have smashed it across the box blindly and hoped for the best, but great pass direct to fred, absolutely

Also, Gary and a lot of people had a point with his agent though. I think most people had some issue (indirectly) with Pogba due to that.

I remember his agent started talking about how Ole should be worried for himself and had a lot of issues to sort out etc at one point. I thought it was classless.

Not just trying to get more money for himself and the player.

That's what I was going to say.

And, Pogba is much more efficient dribbler than Jack is.

God, yes. Grealish is really good at winning free kicks by running at his man. Pogba is really good at getting round his man and into space.

Yes, the agent stuff has been bad. But my issue with Gary on this is that he spends ages apologising for Kane and getting defensive and trying to explain how what Pogba did was worse. Nothing Pogba did was worse than Kane trying to set his own transfer fee (in an interview with... Gary Neville!), then refusing to return to training in an attempt to push through said transfer (then trying to pretend that that's not what he did).

Clearly Gary has a relationship with Kane that he doesn't have with Pogba. But the way he worships Kane and calls him a saint sticks in the craw. Kane has messed up the start of Spurs' season, and there's a reason the Spurs fans were pissed off with him in the stadium today. Don't call him a saint and a model professional just because you worked with him for a while and liked him Gary, that's just obvious bias.

Paul Pogba is the only player in world football who could get a record equaliing 4 assists in the premier league and then not be insanely praised for weeks to come

Instead within a day the media where right back to questioning, criticising, etc etc etc

People talk about the circus around him. There is one but it has sweet feck all to do with him and it's not his fault. He is a media magnet because they treat him differently. First hair, then dancing etc etc etc

If KDB ever got 4 assists in a game no one would be talking about anything other than that amazing feat. And not only was it 4 assists but they where very good and a wide variety of assists as well.

Pogba should be proud. Will be a long time if ever a Manchester United player equals this achievement. His name is etched in history and I really think it's not being credited near enough.

I cannot never fault a player for wanting to leave and win things (or change country/scenery etc etc..), it's how it's always been and always will be but if said player misses training and goes AWOL, he's a cnut in my book. As a pro, no matter your desires, you still are under contract and you should be exemplary in your job

Exactly.

And Pogba done that his whole United career.

Read my posts. Don’t try and insult me because I disagree with you.
So you dismiss the points in my post as a ‘myth’ only to be shown it isn’t by a number of posters citing posts you’ve either not read or ignored. . . Is that called irony?
It isn’t an insult to say I’m surprised a moderator would have seen one of the many Pogba+Unprofessional posts, it’s an observation.

You didn’t disagree with me, you dismissed the point made in spite of rather easy to attain evidence - if anything that’s insulting.

Can’t we all just get along. . .

I've been thinking it for a long time so I might as well say it, Pogba is a better passer than Scholes

Not sure about that. There is definitely an argument for it. Though Scholes obviously kept the ball ticking along better. I suppose it depends what types of passes.

He is the best passer from deep in Current World football. No one can do the passes he gives Mbappe and others with the consistency he does it.

Every word, YES!
I really dislike Gary Neville. His level of hypocrisy is amazing
The fact that Neville is propping up an argument from Graeme fecking Souness when it comes to the topic of Pogba whilst bending over backwards to justify Kane being an unprofessional cnut who for whatever reason has rendered himself unavailable really does show the Circus surrounding Pogba has nothing to do with the player.

How the hell can Souness come on TV & be allowed to definitively say Pogba is in agreement with his agents comments?

Idiots the lot of them.

From what I've seen from Pogba so far, I would say Scholes is still better tactically and positioning, so yes he would keep the ball ticking better. Other than that I've seen Pogba do all the passes that Scholes could do and then some

Yeahhh you did not watch Scholes play
I did and he was my favorite United player for a long time.

I honestly think Sky tell him to play it up for the memes at this point. It's getting old though.

Not today. Was visibly pissed off at being outed as a hypocrite by a colleague.

Turned his back to walk away. Begged to change the subject. Practically throwing a tantrum. Was nice to see him sweat.

Shame Sky sided with him and Neville and shut Micah down. I'd Say the produces where in the presenters ear.

It definitely looked like that. Which was annoying because Richards was just telling the truth. Kane is being protected in a way other players would not be. It’s pathetic really.

If he was like Scholes, we would not be looking for another midfielder. Pogba plays further forward, and more regularly plays the fantasy pass. On his best days he can control a game through a mix of dribbling, physical presence, and passing. Scholes could set the whole game's tempo by just varying his passing. Maybe fewer amazing assists, but tighter control, less mistakes, and better decision-making.
