I want to see a compilation of his play today, there were a few tricks he pulled off in the first half that were majestic given the conditions & the fact that he was often double marked.

Wasn't aware Pogba was white and like 5 foot 8.

In the first 10 minutes of the second half Pogba was our only player to do anything good.

Then in 6 months time when people's memory is hazy and it's repeated as if it's fact, it becomes so easy to believe and used as a stick to beat him with.

And people wonder why he wants to leave? Treated like shit and well also United aren't very good sadly.

Head and shoulders above everyone in the first half. On his day he's a class act.

I knew that he would play well.

He’s probably the most talented midfielder in football and when focused he’s unplayable. But I’m not delusional enough to think he’ll suddenly maintain that focus over the course of a season when we pay him Ronaldo money.

He’s also 29 and athleticism is a huge part of his game. Anyone wanting to give him a long term contract with his wage demands is out of their mind. It’s good that he’s playing well and we’ll hopefully make tbe most of it but it should be a priority to move on from him and sign a replacement in the summer.
A bit ludicrous. Besides his height and strength Pogba is not athletic. He’s not very fast and turns incredibly slow. His technical ability is what sets him apart

He literally clocked the fastest recorded speed for us a few seasons ago.

He is an incredible athlete. He obviously has a lot more to his game but in full flight he easily runs away from most players and he’s very strong physically. It’s a big part of his game and that will eventually fade.

No. You’re wrong.

Athleticism is not a big part of his game, in fact, the weaker parts of his game show when he tries to use his physicality to shield the ball. Dribbling, technique, vision, range of passing are the core of his game.

You’re wrong. Him clocking fastest speed for us doesn’t mean that’s a big part of his game, just that he’s capable of it. Pogba seldom goes on crazy runs, on the wing or otherwise. He’s capable of gliding through the pitch like a gazelle but to say it’s a big part of his game is a crazy stretch.

Pogba is not a pace and power merchant. He’s way closer to Zidane than to Michael Essien in playing style

Just needs a system that frees him from defensive responsibilities. Maybe left wing with Sancho on the right. The lack of a DM who can play is what unbalances us though, so the problem really is elsewhere.

He will rarely use his top speed in the central positions he plays, so that stat is meaningless. He’s strong yes but Pogba isn’t athleticism definitely isn’t what he relies on.

He played well tonight, very good intensity as well. Had a few awesome moments but one or two wtf ones as well. A bit worried about his stamina though, but I guess the sub was due to him being in the plans for Atletico rather than being out of order today. Very good form trend, now we need a few more players to hit form and there is a good chance for a positive end to the season.

To act like that athleticism isn’t a large part of him gliding past players like he does is absurd. Players who’ve played against Pogba have spoken about how physically dominant he is. Mousa Dembele was the best in the league at exactly that and he was finished as a footballer once his legs started to wilt.

Even putting aside whether or not his athleticism is a major strength we’ve been burned all too often with these stupid long term contracts to ageing players. Rooney and Alexis. Van Persie was exactly the sort of player who you’d assume would age well and he fell of a cliff at 29.

Pogba was arguably our best player when he came off. I was baffled by the decision (shows what I know!)

Who knows where he'll be in the summer. However, it has been nice to see him play with 100 per cent commitment lately.

Think I might actually miss him when he does leave.

I was livid he came off, especially with the game back in the balance. I also don't know if it was even the right sub (we struggled to keep the ball much more after), but Fred played excellently which luckily made it a moot point.

I've criticised him a lot but to be fair to him, he was absolutely taking the piss out of them at times today. Then again, it's that kind of stuff that when it doesn't come off makes me annoyed with him. Brilliant when it works, infuriating when it doesn't.

For some reason he was one of the only ones who didn't seem bothered by the rain and how wet the pitch was

Beast mode. When he is on form, people just can't take the ball from him. Please sign the contract.

Love him, hate him, love him, hate him. Not sure. On his day, he is a beast. The problem is when he is off (mentally). Signing a proper DM will only make Pogba better - that is if he stays.

Our chance creation has gone up since he has come back. Not sure if thats just him or the team has improved too (Sancho for example)

He was at his silky best today offensively. Leeds open style suited him really well. In games like these, he is certainly unplayable when his superior technical ability is on display. He had a good command over their players especially Foreshaw who had a night to forget facing Pogba. Him coming off infuriated many but gladly Fred upped his game to placate the resulting furore.

Consistency is what he lacks, well most of the players in the squad quite honestly. But his contribution will make a stong case for a top 4 finish.

Find me a single person who thinks he's only had one good game in his last five...you won't.

The people that say that are basing it on 5+ underwhelming years...in which many excuses about his team mates have been used, despite him performing very well currently with the same people. This is what annoys people about Pogba - that he has it in him and when motivated (cough, contract year, cough), he's superb.

You'll no doubt claim he's been great all along, which is just bollocks.
He so regularly has 4 good games in five it makes the rest of your post laughable. People like you just want to make him the scapegoat for the absolute shambles that United have been in the last six years. Pogba has been one of the shining lights in a terrible period and continues, with Sancho to drive us forward.

It's because he has the best technique. These games are the ones that show who are the most technically gifted. It's why Bruno, pogba and sancho looked like it was a normal day at the office and mctom couldn't complete a 5 yard pass

Yep

His defensive positioning is non existent. He makes McTominay and Fred look like brilliant DM's.
He can only play as the most attacking midfielder, 'cause simply put he's quite clueless when it comes to defending unless he's literally forced into a challenge.

Yes, he's good on the ball. Was that ever in doubt? We should drop a winger to get both Fernandes and Pogba on the pitch. And by winger I mean Rashford/Lingard.

‘As we know, it takes him ages to get any sort of form once he comes back from injury’.

Good to see him playing well. He's had a few games now on the bounce where he's looked hungry again. Quality was never the issue. Consistency was.

Need him to turn up in Madrid, at Anfield, home to Spurs and away to City now. If he does that then there's no grumbles from anyone. Not even me.

Class today, but him going off for Fred was a big difference for us.

I totally support this idea. Even more considering how flat our wing options look.

Thats how i would play midweek. Shame our other 2 midfielders are not good enough
