Pogue Mahone
Closet Gooner.
Loved the “Fellaini + skills” last 15 minutes. Although I’ll admit I was effing and jeffing when he tried that back heel flick instead of a normal volley. Excellent performance overall. One of his best ever.
You know, in the first half I was thinking one of the biggest issues he has at times is his touch is too good. Sometimes he'll trap the ball but it will end up too close to him or under his feet and it causes him to have to take another touch to move out. I don't think it happened once in the second half.Unplayable for pockets of the 2nd half, and, if you're watching astutely, you can see that opposing players don't know whether to try get tight or stand off him, in the end, they have to let him do what he's going to, whether that be effective or not. All comes down to whatever the outcome, it's literally in Pogba's hands(feet). A very interesting thing to watch, something many of the top players have.
People clamouring for him to be gone better take stock of how hard what he does is to replace, and, how much it would cost to do so.
He’s unique in this sense. If he’s on song he can absolutely bully players. That was a seriously unbelievable performance. Zidane esque. Towered over the Spurs defence and bullied them at times with physicality and skill.
Superb today. Aside from Zidane & Real, I do wonder why he'd want to leave us at this stage. We look far ahead of the process than Juve do right now.
If he played left wing and with freedom. Ole needs to go to jail for playing him defensive midfield. Mourinho tooFair play. If he took that approach in every game he'd be the best centre mid in the world
I don't see Real paying for him but it's possible. From what I've read and heard on podcasts, he's not drawn to PSG.Really it's only Real or PSG who could tempt him. But I can see why he might want to go there. He will have a better chance at titles at either of them, let's not kid ourselves. He will probably get a hefty pay rise and sign-on bonus to boot.
