Is there anybody left who still thinks his best position is CM?

Brilliant today in a position that lets him do his thing whilst taking away his negative traits.

Can we please keep playing him in attacking midfield! So much better up there!

Best player on the pitch. Fantastic performance (other than that facepalmed backheel attempt).

Incredible peformance today. A level above everybody else. We simply have to find a way to play him and Bruno in a three man midfield.

Fantastic performance, but that fecking miss was almost unforgiveable. Had me fuming.

We just need to find the key to unlock those performances on a weekly basis. Fantastic.

Brilliant, brilliant game. He’d be winning Ballon D’ors if Mourinho was the opposing coach each game

One of his best performances for us, that movement for I think the third goal was outstanding.

He's not really a central midfielder but he's not a forward either which makes him a tough player to fit in. On days like this, he's nearly unplayable. But long term he's not got the right skillset for a winger. Left of a three man midfield with both him and Bruno putting in a shift could possible work under certain managers but probably not given now poor we would be defensively.

Shows why it is so important to have more than one world class player. When Bruno is not performing we can look to Pogba (and vice versa)

You know, in the first half I was thinking one of the biggest issues he has at times is his touch is too good. Sometimes he'll trap the ball but it will end up too close to him or under his feet and it causes him to have to take another touch to move out. I don't think it happened once in the second half.
He's frustratingly erratic in his fundamentals as he goes from looking clumsy and unaware to quite clearly one of the most unplayable in the game, outright. At his best, he should be contesting balon d'ors, but at his worst, you're wondering what's going through his head as you know the ability is there and he's not harnassing it like players in his class tend to do more often than not.

That second half is the equal of any midfielder out there, but then we have to ask how, or why, is he capable of such extremes either side of the dial.

We need to play against Mourinho every week - Pogba had something personal in this, I feel. Really pushed himself and the team into top gear because of it, imo.

When he plays like he does there, you realise how difficult it's likely to be to replace him, not to mention expensive. Still hope he stays.

Best central midfielder in the league on days like this. That Spurs midfield is one of the most muscular, dynamic, hardworking units in the league. Jose has built his entire plan around their ability to bully that central space to give Kane, Son and Moura the platform to make chances. Pogba looked like he was playing football against an u16 rugby team in the second half. More powerful, more intelligent and infinitely more skilful.

Wide playmaker, such a great role for him. Less defensive responsibility & has far more output. Outstanding performance. What a player.

Get Rice and play 433 for me.

Keep Pogba at all costs. Replacing him and not regressing would be near impossible for a club like ours

Not sure why I people keep on with this. Would it make everyone feel better if he swung a regular shot and Dier blocked it? The ball was dropping awkwardly, he went for the backheel instinctively, it was goal bound and was blocked. He wasn’t set to hit the ball regularly, at least not in a way that it would have been easier than backheeling it.

When Pogba is playing in that role opposing teams are made to pay for attempting to mark Bruno out of the game, which is what Spurs were trying to do. When we're in that awful rigid 4231, it's easy to mark Bruno out of the game and everything grinds to a halt as a result.

Such a majestic performance, wonder if this will be counted in the "had 5 good games a season or since he signed for us".

You know those threads about the lack of entertainers in football today, we've had one for the last 5 years and he spent most of that time shoehorned into a midfield 2 to screen the defense.
