Should be on 4 goals and something like 8 assists. (with a bit of luck probably even 6 or 7 goals).;

Fantastic technique for the goal. Was surprised he got the full 90. Hoping for a masterclass against Arsenal. Having Carrick behind him really helps him.

Like i said, he's not a number 10. He needs to play deeper and arrive on the edge of the box for shots. Give him space to play his game and move the ball around inventively. Today was exactly what i expect from him when played in his correct position.
Yep. A box to box, but he needs someone behind him who can control the game for us. Carrick is perfect, but can't play every game, so Herrera is the next best choice for that (and obviously far from ideal since that isn't his natural area). Today was probably his best game for us in that first half. Was controlling the play nicely, spreading passes, giving great balls forward to mata, Rooney and ibra, and then had a brilliant goal.

Was in his best position today, with a player behind him in Carrick, who allowed him to find pockets of space in behind the Swansea midfield and constantly look to run in behind.

His goal was fantastic. #Pogboom moment.

He has hit the post/crossbar three times this season.

He's really, really good.

I think he's been pretty consistent for at least the last 4/5 games. Just needs to turn it on in a big game, now.

Like someone said above, least of our problems. All our best showings have him playing well. Clearly one for the long run and will only improve in the coming years. What a goal.

Had a solid last few weeks. Great at home to Fenerbache, bit shit against Chelsea (like everyone), started slowly then grew into the game and ended up playing well against City, class against Burnley and class today. Injured against Fenerbache the second game so not sure how to judge it, but still. Good to see him improving more. Today was the best midfield display from him this season I would say. Passed it around really well, and picked up the ball a lot and got the ball forward a lot. Second half tired but the game was done.

Anyone with half a football brain knows how much potential he has and even how impressive he is individually (even when we are playing shit). You can see it in the way he strides with the ball, his touch, his shooting technique, his athleticism. He also comes across as very self assured in his abilities.

Incredible player. Pretty much has it all: strength, vision, shooting, pace, quick feet and pristine technique.

I don't think anyone has doubted that. He's proved it when playing for Juve. Some people (included myself) criticized him for weak performances because everyone has bad days and his form was quite bad in the last month.

I have seen alot of people calling him Shite on various social media platforms over the past few weeks. They genuinely have wrote him already. Then again many of these people were probably oppositions fans so it is expected. I just can't understand how opposition fans can't admit what a talent we have - I always positively speak of promising players at the likes of City, Liverpool to the point of coming across a neutral.
Tbh I think more or less everyone on redcafe recognises his talent, some however like yourself have criticised his performances which is understandable.

He's the complete midfielder and one of the most complete footballers in the world along with Vidal and Alaba.

Needless to say I rate him extremely highly. He just has everything and even when he shows it, it's like he's not even really trying that hard.

Functional midfield. Boom, top display.

Carrick behind him and Herrera would be my ideal choice.

Hopefully Jose found him a right position.

It's funny that Jose tried him in that position because there was a good article from Gab Marcotti over the weekend that urged him to be given a chance in that position as that where statistically he was best for Juve. He played there today and was excellent.

You think it was cause of the article.
In any case long may it continue. Wonder how we'll lineup vs Arsenal. Probably Rashford up front but will Martial start too?

Really want to see that a clip of when he showed that burst of pace to get past the centre half and then when he was past him messed it up. I wondered if he has that acceleration in his locker as I had yet to see it but that just answered that. He should take his man on for pace more often!

Played better than average, with a great goal inflating his performance.

Still, thats a few games on the trot where he seems to have elevated his understanding with the rest of the team.

Beginning to look promising.

he was great probably MOTM but Swansea let our players do whatever we wanted even Rooney make a couple of surging roons ffs so be careful with overreactions here, Arsenal will be a better test for our Pogs and Herrera will be back so and perhaps Carrick recovers well so there is plenty of promise for the next game but much tougher test for them

Pogba needs freedom and security not to be afraid to take on a man and try risky passes in middle of the park. Obviously, he also looks more comfortable left of midfield. Carrick is another plus to his game anchoring the midfield.

Came here to post just that.

That would shut them up for a while.

Big game against Arsenal and I think his start with us would be counted as decent when only a few matches ago it was certainly be deemed underwhelming. Xhaka is a bit physica, a bit of a wannabe hardman l so would love pogba to sit him down.

Problem is that with price tag he has to meet ridiculous expectations.I've always maintained that he needed time
But you have things like that awful Elephant thread on here. People lack patience.

A key to beating Arsenal and allowing Pogba to flourish is how we set up. I'd go with a 3 man midfield. But Carrick and Herera this time behind him.

No excuse not to play Carrick, lots of time rest now before the game.

He's been excellent starting with that 2nd half against City. I thought his performance in Burnley was stunning and he was far and away the best player on the pitch. Felt he got off to a good start against Fenerbahce as well, but obviously had to go off hurt as well. Today was more of the same.

I think he will give a stunning performance against Arsenal and hopefully he will have Herrera and Carrick in midfield with him.
