Thought he was very good today. Wish that free kick had gone in.

He's been really unlucky with that this season, that's the 3rd time off the top of my head he's hit the woodwork and the second time it would have been a screamer.

feck sake Pogba.

Should definitely take more free kicks after that effort.

He's been excellent since he came, and considering he's not even played 20 games for us he is doing even better. I can't wait to see him at his peak at this club.

It seems to be like the whole 'sitter' thing that was a trend here on here for a good while. Unless he bangs in one from 25 yards it seems that 'he can do more' will always be wheeled out.

He bossed the midfield, when was the last time Dembele for nullified to that effect?

Pretty sure it was Herrera who did the bossing. But good to see Pogba putting in the defensive work. I'd say decent performance.

He's so close to an ouput in goals and assists that'd make everyone declare him super effective.

But in general we're a bit of a nearly team at the moment. Thank goodness we've seen a win through.

Pretty well sums it up. We aren't far away as a team and neither are a number of individuals, Pogba being the most obvious. He's a beast of a footballer and I genuinely believe he will go on to become one of the true PL greats.

I really don't understand what people expect. He's starting to adapt to a totally differently paced and aggressive league and putting in lots of work...plus hitting the post. If that had gone in the whole ambience would change. It was a briliant free kick. Hands up, I wasn't that excited when he signed, wasn't convinced. But I am now. I'm really encouraged by the way he's playing. I reckon it's going to take him a season to fully integrate, plus new players will no doubt come in. Next season I reckon we are really going to see an amazing, legendary player for this club.

He wouldn't automatically get in the Tottenham midfield though, or something like that. Right.

I like that he's starting to impose his personality on games a bit more. He's got a bit of an aura about him, a confidence that is essential to his game.

Shame that free kick did not go in.

Much better today than vs Everton. Still sometimes over-complicates simple matters, but hopefully that will go away in time.

He's done better than I'd expected when he came in. Bodes well for the future.

If things had gone his way, he should have 8-10 assists to his name, too. He's great at finding key-passes and final balls.

His strengths are very evident. Strength, athleticism, technique, control, getting the ball from midfield to defence, set pieces, quick passing, movement, long range shots - the list goes on. He's consistently, reliably good at what he's good at. Forget the fee, he's a young world-class midfielder I'm very glad to have in our team.

Spot on.

He played well and has been doing for ages, I won't hear any suggestions otherwise. He's class.

Back in his level unlike the Everton game and first half of the final EL game.

He still needs time to adapt to PL way of refereeing. It's tougher to get a foul call here with these inconsistent refs.

If he can take free kicks like that... Why the feck have we been allowing Zlatan to balloon them all over or drill into the wall?!

I think his quality is showing more and more with each game, and he definitely is unlucky not to have a few more goals and assists to his name.

He still needs to improve his decision making with the ball, thought at times he just held the ball far too long, wanting to take on too many players with one too many touches and running into a dead end. Been a bit of a theme so far this season.

But it would be wrong to try and coach that sort of play out of his game, he's a young lad with strength and flair and wants to do the tricky stuff as he wants to be the best, so I can forgive it most of the time.

Interesting he's in the team of the season so far on WhoScored.

Considering you get the feeling there's so much more to come as he settles it bodes very well.
Completely agree. Pogba gives off that vibe that he still has a lot of room to improve. Similar vibe I feel during 2006 with Ronaldo where he was already a quality player world but that was not his top level yet. A few bad performance may just be a springboard for a larger leap. We just need to build the team and let the man develop since sign shows he is destined for top level.

Another good performance. Such a class player, been playing well for ages too. We've missed his quality so badly, worth every penny.

Really? For 90 million you're happy with a midfielder that doesn't dictate the tempo, doesn't control the game, is sloppy in possession, doesn't really create anything but at least he doesn't give away silly fouls? Hmmm.

Someone needs to tell you that you have been watching FC United games while under the impression it was us.

Easy mistake to make...

Still dabbing in the final third when he should be dubbing, but better peformance than the last game.

Agree he usually bosses players with strength but Demble and Wanyama matched him strength wise
They are arguably the 2 strongest cm in the league, the fact pogba could actually match them is impressive. He kept them busy all game which allowed Herrera much more space.

He was pretty good. Didn't completely dominate the game but he did what he had to do. Unlucky not to score as well, was a good freekick.

If we look at our spine and especially our midfield 3 and attacking 3 its a combination that when clicks and gels could be terrifying, carrick, herrera, pogba, miki, martial, zlaten, thats a combination that should not only control put most teams to the sword, hopefully moving forward we see more of this
