Patrick Dorgu | Medical today? No. Weekend.

I’m buzzing that we’re finally conducting ourselves in a competent manner when it comes to the transfer market, but it just makes it even more infuriating that we’ve been getting bent over for the last decade and not only squandered billions but it’s also had a devastating effect on our performances on the pitch and has set us back years because we let a bunch of fecking bankers run the show! Better late than never I suppose, hopefully the corner is well and truly being turned.

Welcome Dorgu

Two young and promising signings for lwb this window. Hope can he doesn‘t need much time to acclimate

25M? Great deal for us. Another sensible signing and sensible fee under Ineos. Things are still a mess, but there is so much more coherence to our transfer policy since the summer, and the fees we've paid have been so much more reasonable and sustainable. We've also only brought in players with significant resale value, at the right age, and plenty of room to improve. In Yoro and Dorgu, we've brought in two of the best young players in the world in their respective positions. Both have a long way to go and a lot of development in front of them, but these are exactly the type of signings that I love, and will hopefully bear fruit over the next 2-3 years. We are building, slowly, the core of a team that is young and can significantly develop together.

Dorgu is very, very raw, but he's a two way threat. He has an incredible engine, he never stops running, and has that mobility to get up and down the flank without trouble. He's naturally left footed, but is very, very strong on his right. So having him at LWB, gives you genuinely that possibility of cutting in or going on the outside. He's solid defensively, and has a lot of raw potential going forwards, as evidenced by him playing as a right winger for Lecce. He can really play on either side for us. I don't expect him to make a huge impact this season, but I am hoping for good things from him over the next 24 months.

Will be interesting to see Dorgu at LWB and if that unlocks Garnacho a little bit more.

The left side of the team has been working at 20% so far this season, with opposition teams having zero concern or need to think about that side.

Hopefully big improvements can be made quickly.

feels like Shaw will be out in summer along with Malacia.

Shaw will remain with us till the very end. No one wants an injury prone players whose priorities are all wrong and whose on silly salary

I think we will try nonetheless. I agree it will be hard to sell him. Feels like I have not seen him playing for two years.

Garnacho will have to learn the 10 role now, no more of the WB inverting as the 10 to allow him to play on the outside. Either he learns to play in the half space or he will need to be moved on for someone who can play there.

I hope fans are patient with this guy and dont expect an immediate impact. He's only 20, he will need time to settle!

This is why selling Garnacho to enable the Cunha signing makes absolute sense for us.

We kind of need players with an immediate impact in January though, that's the problem. I don't think this is the time to be signing more young players who need time to settle.

We can discuss his merits all we like, we had these exact discussions almost word for word with Malacia.

Highlight videos are beyond pointless. Once he's in the Man Utd kit with Old Trafford bearing down on him, it changes a player.

I'm just praying he'll be good, the pressure here is just insane.

Malacia looks pretty much in line with his highlights vid. As does Onana, Yoro, Ugarte etc. They're not pointless.

It's not pressure that's got to a player like Malacia. He's just playing true to his ability.

I haven't watched much of Dorgu's highlights been it seems his touch and ball control is a bit loose, a bit scruffy. That's exactly how it'll be for us and it will be an issue for him unless he improves.
