Probably could have got better for 30 million if we'd held off, but it's better than having Dalot or Maz at left wing back.
Agree with this. I think it's something that can be improved quite easily though.I actually don't think there's that much wrong with his attacking game. When we get him in the right position and pass him the ball, he rarely loses it and has put in plenty of decent crosses which a proper CF would be eating up.
His defending is a real concern though. So many Lyon attacks were starting with a player either strolling past him into space or easily passing round him because of poor positioning/bad pressing.

He’s brilliant physically, constantly offering an outlet and he’s a good crosser. He doesn’t suit playing with Garnacho at all. His defending needs work obviously - but he’s 20.

In an ideal world he would be a project/prospect with managed minutes, but once again we are relying on very young players to step into the first team immediately because of our poor squad. These first six months mean absolutely nothing, especially in this turbulent season, I'm just glad we have another body to play at LWB. Get him settled, have a good pre-season and most importantly give him a couple of years to work on his deficiencies (defending, passing, etc.).

He will become a massive player for us. When we win the league in 27/28 everyone will be saying how he is the golden standard for LWBs. And yes I am serious.
