I was expecting someone who could dribble past players as he had played as a right winger. He’s just a taller Malacia.

I don't understand why we've pursued a player with this level of technical ability. We should never do that. There should be a bar to meet to play here.

Woeful. I don’t care how new he is, that defending on their equaliser was criminal.

Weird part is that you can see didgy technique by watching him only 10 minutes. And we signed him for key position in this system. Weird as feck.

Such a messy, brainless player - there's nothing he's good at.

Lets give Amorim a summer to make more of these transfers.

He's being thrust into the spotlight after coming from playing for a struggling side in a much slower league.

Will he come good? Unsure - he doesn't seem to have the techinical ability that we expect in the Prem. Does he have the physical attributes? Definitely.

I'm willing to give him some more time, but we have potentially capable youth coming up behind him, so I'm not too worried (Amass, Kamason, Mantato).

He had a couple of good bits of play. A decent cross, a decent run at one point... But a couple of sloppy passes and poor decisions going forward were the majority of his involvements. Needs to improve a lot

Dont see many positives so far. Poor defender, poor attacker, weak in duels, slow decision making

Also the kid from Paraguay.

What are these things except for being able to hit a cross or two and run at average speed? Honestly?

His physicality is good, and can be a decent dribbler. Think it does not help that Garnacho and him want to occupy the same spots. His crossing from the byline is good.

Still think we should have signed Alvaro back as technically he is a far superior player, and would have been cheaper.

Oh right, they are 2 separate enterprises.

Yes this is a Wilcox and co signing. Hopefully he is just adjusting to life in England/PL football. But its not looking good so far

This thread is getting a bit silly really, he was reasonably good in the first half, finished with a good passing success rate, won most of his tackles, won more duels for us than anyone except Bruno or Casemiro, played a couple of great balls into the box.

He's vulnerable defensively, but he was let down by shoddy marking by the CBs too.

I don't like being negative but I don't think he's got that much on Amass. Plays with more confidence but he has more senior games. Considering how much this system depends on effective wing back play...I just ain't seeing it.

The concerning thing is it seems our new 'best in class' transfer committee made this decision. No blaming ashworth for this one , or sign the committee will change

His defending is worrying

They also signed Zirkzee and Ugarte So yeah its worrying.

Seen clip of Carlton Palmer and Lee Sharpe talking about him on some Firestick channel. Palmer claimed he looked miles from being anywhere near good enough to play for us, Sharpe didn't see to disagree but said he needs time.

I think he looks awful myself, Amass seems technically miles ahead but physically miles behind.

Yeah there were some worrying signs there, defensively.

he’s a Kid in a new league, new team etc. but it makes me wonder how he’s going to perform for the remainder of the season. LWB could still be an issue.

The less said the better. So raw, it's still mooing. Take it back to the kitchen and put it on a fecking molton lava cast iron and get a good sear on it ffs.

He's a decent dribbler and I like his combativeness. Very raw but not giving up on him just yet, he's a kid who's been plucked from a club fighting relegation in Italy and thrust into our pressure cooker.

Not a fan but I do think he can still be a useful squad player. He does have some attributes that we lack and I'm sure his versatility will come in handy at some point.

Yes. As for physicality he is strong and not a lightweigt. He is good in the air for a lb, has got good pace.
I’ve seen him get bullied a bit too much for my liking. Especially when he tries to take on a fullback. Wan Bissaka is much better than he is
