According to Graham Hunter, SSN's reporter in Spain, our Evra is also on Madrid's wanted list for this summer as possible replacement for Heinze.

Can't see us selling anyone else this summer. They are more likely to get Clichy who, although isn't as good, is more likely to be tempted and Arsenal are more likely to sell. Arsenal need the money far more than we do and they have Gibbs to step in. Vermaelen, who they look to be buying, can also play at LB so it would seem a possibility that Clichy is off.

Evra seems to have a bit about him and I'll lay my balls on the table and say he would personally reject a move.

think they just wrote down our first 11 as their transfer list and I can't say I blame them as we piss all over them. All they can do is splash money they don't have but schhhhhhhhh

as if...

perhaps they will just put a lot of rumours around this summer to unsettle him and sign him next summer...

though just like when arsenal had clitchy coming through and they decided to cash in on cashly cole we might face a similar dilema if fabio develops as hoped over the next year or 2

According to Hunter, Madrid is busy tying up key players first (presently Vila) and then they want to switch their attention to midfield and defence.

Heinze is definitely leaving - according to him.

They've still got a lot left in the £/E300m transfer budget and they're handling transfers well this summer.

There's a determination this year unlike other years and they seem to get their men.

There's no way Sir Alex would consider selling another key player this summer, unless a stupid offer was tabled.

Why don't Madrid just dye their shirts red and call themselves El Manchestero Unitedo numere dos CFC

Evra said he'd never play in spain due to the racism and he loves the club. So in short....NO! Anyway they want clichy.

All the players highlighted are on their way out. So while they may match the likes of us and Chelsea for the strength of their starting XI, their strength is depth would be nowhere near as much as ours. I guess in La liga thats not so important anyway. They'd look to recoup around £150 mill on players that are leaving.

WTF?! thats around 20 million euros, who the hell would replace Evra for that fee:confused: Evra loves the club, we love him. So he's not for sale, they can stick their money where the sun doesn't shine!

Nah, £20m for Evra is stupid money, considering his age and position.

:lol:He's one of the best around in his position and his age? He's only 27 ffs! He's in his prime. Name me who'd replace him (someone of that calibur) and how much we'd pay?

He also loves the team, appreciates our history and thanks God because he plays for us.

We don't have a replacement. How old is he anyway?

I'd tell Real Madrid to feck off, personally, if they were to put a bid in.

We'd buy a replacement.

He is 28.

Sir Alex will tell them to feck off.

Unless they give us an offer we can't refuse.

All players have a price...

are we actually planning to keep any players this summer or are we now the english branch of the real madrid scouting company

No chance unless they pay another £80m plus Heinze, whom we'll sell to the dippers.

Anyway, they'll get Clichy in the end.

Whose Wigan's left back? ;)

Figueroa is actually pretty good and you've got to remember that even though it's taking one player out and putting a new one in his position it's not actually a replacement. Rather it's re-jigging the team to optimize the abilities of the other players, like how Rooney and Berbatov are both going to score an extra 10 goals now that we've lost our best attacker.

Serious post: Losing Evra would be a disaster. We'd be left with only Ferdinand who could legitimately claim to be the best in the world in his position and his body is falling to bits!

robben, huntellar and schneider will probably be good buys for somebody...

ruud might be able to give somebody a coupld of good seasons (please not city)

and if van der vaart ever lives up to his potential he could be a hell of a player...

not sure they would get 150 million for them all though...

just off the top of my head im guessing

schneider 20m, robben maybee 20m huntellar 15m, van der vaart 10m, ruud 5m, metzleder 5m, heinze 5m, de la red 5m, and saviola + drenthe + dudek maybee 5m...

be lucky to get 100 million i think... still that buys them ronaldo and hald of villa i suppose and hust save them a lot in wages as well

All players have a price, but with in reason. By this I mean, a club like United wouldn't be willing to sell 2 or 3 first team regulars in one summer.

Evra's quality. I love watching him play.

We should sell Rio and bring in Bramble too. ;)

I agree.

But, IF they offered silly money, United would accept it.

And rightly so.

You could see Perez's thinking behind it now. Real do very well when it comes to selling players on, they could easily recoup more than £100 mill+.

That depends on what you regard as silly money. Liverpool have bid £20m for Glen Johnson, now that is silly money. Regardless of age, £20m for Evra wouldn't give us many options in the transfer market.
