There really isn't a "Canadian" accent per say. Not an overly identifiable one like German or English. Unless he is dropping "aboot" and "eh" there isn't really anything easily distinguishable about a Canadian "accent" and he wasn't from the part of the country that says "aboot" or "eh" it were.
I just hope he can continue his rehabilitation program, stay fit and be available for the first team by the start of pre-season in the summer.
Well that was certainly an intelligent comeback by Hargreaves. A bit tentative, which was to be expected, but as the half went on, his contribution and influence grew. No need to go flying into tackles, he just sat ahead of the defence and towards the end of the half bossed it a bit. Of course he'll have been told it would have been 45 minutes only, but I'm sure he could have done and another 15/20 minutes in the second half.
What he needs now is quite simple, more games. He needs to build his stamina up and his sharpness, once they return it's first team here we come.

He's 29, as long as his injury worries are behind him (still taking injections... :S) then we could still get a good 3-4 seasons out of him yet. Plenty of time for him to make his mark here.

Imagine a three man central midfield with Hargreaves and Park bombing around supported by Scholes or Carrick, or even a 3 man midfield with Fletch, Hargreaves and Park. If Hargreaves can get back to his capability that could be the most dominating midfield in all of Europe. With Valencia and Nani on the wings to give us our attacking creativity and with Park, Hargreaves and Fletcher getting forward and back and everywhere in between like a pack of energizer bunnies on meth, it could be awesome ;p

In Fergies interview to sky this morning he said he'll play a few more games for the reserves and should be back in the first team before the season ends. I got the impression Fergies not too happy on the idea of Hargreaves heading to the word cup.

SAF said Hargreaves needs to play another couple of reserve games before making a return to the first team, which would effectively rule him out until the first week of April.
Why would he be? We've spent the time and money supporting him through the most difficult period of his career and it's us who should benefit from having him fully fit again. After so long out would it be a good idea for him to go out and play in such an intense competition? I think Hargreaves was spot on last night when he basically said Himself>>>Manchester United>>>>>England.

Not really. Park has shown if anything he has great ability to support Rooney or the striker.
Fletcher seems to work hard to get into the box these days and has a fantastic cross on him. Think people underrate Fletcher's passing ability and movement in support.
The energy those 3 would give when we don't have the ball would be fantastic and when in possession, they more than have the ability to integrate themselves into attacks.

Negative? I don't agree. I guess it depends on what you consider negative, but Hargreaves when fit, Fletcher AND Park when he is played centrally get forward and into the box frequently.
Look at the Roma game for an example of Hargreaves when he is on form, up and down the field latching onto through balls. Negative? Not so much. He was on the wing for that.
Look at Park vs Milan last week, all over the place. Negative? Not so much. Scored a goal was forward frequently.
Is it a "clever" midfield that we could expect from Carrick or Scholes in it picking out passes? No, but it isn't negative either. It isn't anti-football. They would be all over the opposition making it virtually impossible for the other sides midfield to have any real time on the ball. Then add the pressure these three fellows would put on the other sides midfield as they bomb forward and then track back. It would have a dynamism nobody else in Europe could match. Would it be the best fit all the time? No, but I think for controlling a game and countering a team with a clever creative midfield of their own it would work wonders. Besides, as Nani and Valencia develop our creativity can come from the flanks as it traditionally has.
With Rooney developing the way he has since Ronaldo left I think we can expect to see more 4-5-1's. It gives us numbers to control the game and so long as Rooney is finishing his chances the second striker is a luxury we don't need.
