Barca being Barca, cry to La Liga, try and get all European super clubs to go against PSG for allegedly tapping up and signing Neymar, they openly speak about other clubs players. They're such a pitiful club and I don't feel one bit sorry that they're now floundering to Real, so poorly run top to bottom.
Exactly this, couldn't have happened to a nicer club. I hope they spent all their Neymar money on big flops.

If both Coutinho and Dembele are left in untenable positions I would just love it if both us and Dortmund exchanged our players, no fees. :D This way both players would feel like they 'won' minor victories and can concentrate on the world cup coming up at their new clubs.

Oh and see the youtube clip of Paulinho's keepy uppy attemtp over and over again like I've been doing.

I can see why you would love that. Dembélé is a much better player than the vastly overrated Coutinho.

As for the youtube clip of Paulinho going round, it's been edited to only the last 4 of actually 30 seconds. Silly stuff.

I think we will see these kind of behaviors more and more as players think they are priced out of the move. Costa, Coutinho, Dembele, VVD and there are few others who all are "injured" and not available.

Going forward release clause is the way forward for players.

Anyways what a pathetic behavior from professional player, at least Neymar trained and was available for every game.

Terrible comparison. Neymar had his release clause activated, Barcelona can't do shit about that as it was up to him to leave or not in that scenario. You best believe if Dembele had one now he himself would be in Spain weeks ago.

Terrible comparison? Player wanted to leave but acted professionally vs player wanted to leave but acting like cnut.

Release clause or not, player should answer the club and be in training.

Depends on the fee. If barca wanted dembele as much as psg wanted neymar, dembele would have been in catalunya weeks ago...

But yes, it's a terrible comparison because the reason neymar remained with barcelona and kept training and playing friendlies was that he wanted the signing bonus barcelona owed him after July 31st. Neymar had already decided to leave in June, and barca players had known of it since Messi's wedding

So it's now Dembele, Coutinho and Costa who have informed their clubs they won't return from holidays. Wow.

Actually wont be surprised if Barca told him to do that to force BVB's hand.
Every report coming out of Spain, including from Madrid, say the player chose to do that on his own and that barcelona and his agents have been telling him to stop acting out and be professional as they believe his behaviour is making negotiations harder

Neymar has shown the way with player power trying to bend clubs wills. It will be interesting to see if Dembele and Coutinho will get what they want.

All Neymat showed is that if PSG want a player no price is too high for them

If barcelona wanted dembele as much as PSG wanted neymar, dembele would be theirs by now. Probably Coutinho too

Barcelona doesn't have the unlimited pockets that the state of Qatar has. It's not that simple. They probably don't want to spend all the Neymar 222 million on those 2 players, but they're probably going to need to in order to get them.

The big difference here is Neymar had a release clause that can be paid to Barca and they would be able to do nothing to stop the transfer. Coutinho on the hand had no release clause, same as Dembele I believe so you need to force their clubs to accept the offers. It's up to Liverpool and BVB to accept the money or not, unlike Barca who were forced to let Neymar go because of his release clause.

They have €222M in the bank and they coul absolutely have signed Dembele with that money by now. It's a matter of Barcelona want their cake and eat it too

Dortmund quite publicly set a price, so I dont really see the difference to a release clause.

Unprofesssional conduct from the players but they are being priced out of their dream move and one which comes at an opportune time, particularly for Dembele with regard to establishing himself in the Barca attack. With the market as it is the players can afford to go on strike for the next four months and still find themselves getting their moves in January so either way they don't really lose much.

If Barcelona make a deal with Dortmund it won't be the price they set, it may be close, heck it may be the quoted figure but it will involve add-ons which some may never be realised. Put it this way, if you asked Dortmund €120m for Dembele or he stays which would they take at the end of the day Neymar or no Neymar deal? They would bite our hand for it the money.

At the end of the day Neymar's release clause makes sense for what he brings and it only makes sense that an oil funded club are the only teams that can do the deal. Barca are simply suffering from everyone knowing they have the money, if we bided for Dembele or Coutinho on our first offer both clubs would have accepted the deal if the Neymar move never happened.

Lets be honest, Neymar Sr probably had the clause at the €222m figure knowing that PSG could feasibly offer the package they did. Neymar was probably waiting for the right time to go through with it and this year made sense for both parties.

If the clause was really set at Neymar's insistence, it should have been a huge red flag right there, as crazy as 222m transfer sounded in the summer of 2016.

True, however, we must also remember PSG absolutely smashed the world record fee twice over. Let's face it what they did is an unheard territory and took everyone by surprise that they were willing to pay that much. In terms of fair price for Neymar you cannot blame PSG, they paid up handsomely. Trouble is them paying this fee has completely fecked up the market to the point where Liverpool are rejecting bids of €100m for Coutinho! So right now that money for Barca all of a sudden isn't that much.

All of that in a world cup year, wonder how many of them will come back in the fold with egg on their face once the season starts.

I think Coutinho answer Dembele would I think we have reached the point of no return with Costa.

No, i think Dortmund won't negotiate on the price. It's a matter of principle for them, they don't even care that much about the money

His previous clause was €190M and two clubs had already agreed to trigger it in two previous summers. Thinking on it, it's ridiculous that barcelona thought a €32M increase would have kept the hounds at bay. Hard not to see Neymar Sr forcing Nobita to bend over and lick his ass*le when they agreed the contract last summer

It sounds downright crazy when you put it that way, but considering the general level of competence in their boardroom i guess it is not that surprising.

We will see, personally I would rather throw money at Dembele than Coutinho. Hey, at least the kid is really trying to make the move happen, not answering calls and being out of the country

I'd say it's understandable that they don't want to spend nearly the entire sum they got for Neymar on Dembele.

Yes, it is. Dortmund already told them their price

Which will make him only the second highest record trasnfer after neymar for a 19 year old kid , more than pogba for both coutinho and dembele so late in the window that the selling clubs need an incedible offer to sell otherwise would jeopradize their seasons plans.

Who knows he will be the next ronaldinho or neymar or turn up like james rodriguez who may or may not fullfill the potential in that club under that pressure.

Its not that easy to make a desision and agree if the price is inflated rocket high for a potential.

Not talking about whether paying that money for him is smart or right or whatever

Just pointing out the factd: barcelona have €222M in the bank. Dembele for all intent and purposes has had a buyout clause of €150M for weeks. It's straight-forward: pay what dortmund wants, get the player. Don't, better look somewhere else.

In the end i even believe that dortmund would accept €100M plus 25/30 in easy-to-reach-objectives

Problem here is if bvb are to be believed barcelona only made the initial offer so far

Zorc (DoF) on Sky: "We have a clear position. If it [demands] is met Dembele will be transfered this summer. If not he will stay at BVB. We won't go into deadline day with this decision [open]."

Apparently (some guy on twitter claims this) he also said that Dembele is in France and that there is contact with a Dortmund employee.
