It's just Barcelona fans and Suedesi, who is a Barcelona fan but also supports United who thinks this way. Many posters have argued with Serghei etc about this

Yeah there are few more too, Neymar thread was a treat with few more ManUtd fans joining with Barca fan.

feckoff, they just plucked him last year from Ligue 1. It's not like he's a German lad from the academy since he was 5.

He chose Dortmund over better clubs because he wanted a springboard to Barca. Just never thought the opportunity would come after 1 year.

@serghei thinks fair value is 100m, I think it's much lower than that. BVB bought him for 15m last year, have they really added 115m in value in a year to Dembele? No fecking way, their the most asshole club in Germany.
That's just wrong though. Rennes gets 25% of the transfer money, so if Dortmund sell him for 100m this year, that's an additional 25m for Rennes. It would mean that Rennes sold him for 40m last season and Dortmund sold him on for 100m this year with only a 60m profit overall. Hardly an increase in his value that's worth that much drama considering his performances last season, his talent, his contract status and the fact that it's already late in the transfer window.

They've got every right to demand more than 100m and if it's true that Barca only offered 80m + 20m bonus payments or something like that, it's laughable that anyone bitches about Dortmund's demands.

Don't care for Dormtund tbh, we're not going to be in for him so I couldn't care less if he joins Barca.

Few ManUtd fans were so much concerned by PSG/City asking what if they target our players and start throwing ridiculous money. Now aren't they concerned that Barca might tap up our players and they will do what Dembele did? At least with clubs like PSG you get fair value for your players, much better than Barca who always use dirty tricks to unsettle players.

Cant believe it. We are crying out for wingers with pace and this summer has seen two of the best rated move, and we didnt go for either

I assume you're referring to Neymar and Dembele? PSG is the probably only club who could afford Neymar's buyout clause, I doubt after spending 130m already we could afford to drop 220 on someone and we're not backed by a country like PSG.

As for Dembele, he's a great player with a bright future, but we've invested into Martial and I think it would be better to nurture his talent and help him reach his potential (which is very high) than pay over 100m for the next flavour of the month. At any rate he isn't a Jose type winger and allegedly only wants Barca.

So a 60 Million profit is nothing for a player who has played only one season in a team before selling him :wenger::wenger:. Market has really gone insane.

has there ever been a barcelona fan on here who wasnt obnoxious?

Has there ever been a time when being a Barca fan around here didn't feel like being in a war zone surrounded by enemies left and right?

Barca getting shafted on Dembele sets a precedent which sooner or later will come to bite us. Mourinho was absolutely right when he said (paraphrasing here) 'Neymar is not expensive, it's the other 30m players who are going to move for 50 or 60 that are expensive.'

Oh and plucky Dortmund, they were such salty fcks when we bought Mkhitaryan:

They can't keep their players, they have a complex about it.

this is a totally normal thing to be upset about. congrats

Being a Barca fan is irritating in itself to many people it seems.
Can somewhat understand. Small club syndrome that caftards accuse abu's of takes over their brain when talking about barca/madrid.

Well players ain't getting cheaper for Barca - they might as well do it now.

WC next year so expect some further inflated numbers. On top of that it isn't unlikely that France advances deep into the tournament.

Only someone from Detroit would drop an archaic term like burn but hey, you're forgiven as you are a Gooner

Barca are paying up. It's Dortmund who are asking unfair money because they know we sold Neymar.
That's been happening for a while now, you just feel bitter now that it happens to Barca. We had to deal with that issue for years and of course clubs try to fleece Barca now

Fair enough. But then he also needs to understand that Dortmund do not wish to lose him after 12 months and play hardball

Of course he should understand Dortmund's position but put yourself in his shoes, he probably fears that they will only come once. Barcelona will purchase someone and then they will probably don't have the means to purchase him in the future.

I don't know why this always gets brought up. If Dortmund made 25% sell on agreement with Rennes then that's on Dortmund to fulfill and shouldn't be used to bolster the player's valuation. It was the same with Pogba, Juventus wanted up wards of £100m because they cut stupid 25% deal with Mino Raiola to get him in.

You can argue over talent level, age and the remaining contract length, but it's not Barca to deliver an inflated deal because Dortmund thought they were ripping of Rennes.

Not like this they haven't. It has nothing to do with Barca or Neymar. No matter the player, when you more than double the previous transfer record you're talking about something different. When you speak about a club offering about 100m. for a 20 years old player who scored 6 goals last year in Bundesliga, as in the club is trying to underpay Dortmund, it becomes comedic.

Dembele is a great talent, but all this situation only means the transfer market has been turned upside down.

He's a supreme talent, I'm sure all top clubs would love to get him. Be that now or in 2 years. And if Barca does not work out, there is still United ;)

Of course it has. We are forced to overpay players since I can remember, and it didnt get better over the years. Clubs ask for silly money nowadays even more than ever and of course the sale of Neymar played a part in that

But his priority is Barcelona. Just imagine if United came for you, you wouldn't tell yourself, "someone else will come anyway".

PSG is prepared to pay close to Neymar's sum for Mbappe. Proving it's not mainly about Neymar. This is bigger than Neymar. Neymar is just the name that has been attached to this inflation. The prices have gone up in 1 year, more than they have gone up in the previous 15 years.

It's pretty simple for me. When FFP isn't worth a dime, the transfer market will turn into chaos because you have teams who are state owned and don't care about staying profitable. This is the issue, not what has happened before, which was pretty normal compared to what is happening now.

Dembele should simply hire Mr Raiola as his agent if the move to Barcelona doesn't materialize in the next few days.

With Raiola, there is a very big chance for a move (albeit not to Barcelona, perhaps :) )

What did you expect when you came in this thread and started criticising Dortmund because they wouldn't sell a player with world class potential for a price which you think is fair.
The moment you sold Neymar, it became a seller's market and Dortmund know they can get more money from you.

But if United doesnt come, I might be open to move to Barca. Anyhow, let's just see what will happen next. I'm sure Barca will come up with the money and he'll leave

The point is about overpaying for players, and of course you have to do so if you want Dembele. And since you have 200m from Neymar, clubs will fleece you even more. As I said, it's nothing new, it's happening to other clubs for years now, but this summer seems even more ridiculous than others, mainly because of Neymar and who else will follow. If you want the 2 players, you have to pay so much more than if you had bought them 1 year ago (if we wanted Pogba this year, we'd pay much more as well)

Mundo Deportivo reporting the deal is very close. Barca agreed to pay 100 million euros in initial fee, add-ons now the final block(20-30 millions)

Player will get a salary of 10 million euros a year after tax
