That was last season, before the world class cheque book manager... well... wrote another half a billion worth of cheques. No way is he better than Jesus, Sane, Silva, the other Silva, KdB, or even Aguero. He'll get as many games as Woodburn will for us.
who knows how guardiola's brain works. And why even Aguero? If Aguero was offered to united for 50 million or even 60m pounds I'd hope we snatch that deal up. He has a great goal return and is a proven player in the prem.

But I agree, City essentially wasted 50 million pounds on sterling, among others, but doubt it will be publicised as much because people dont detest City as much as they do United for being winners.

OT:

I already wanted us to be in for him, but the rumored price looks bollocks. Most teams would snatch him up for that price. If he truly was that price Id hope United went all out on him... The report it self seems like bull to me, and I think that he'll leave the next summer window, rather than this one. If he goes anywhere this window itd be between Monaco (couldnt afford), Bayern (probably couldnt afford either), PSG, or Man Utd.

Really the only candidates are us or PSG, with PSG probably heavy favourites if he DOES leave, as these are the only clubs that want/could use him, and could afford him.

I don't think so. PSG are desperate to have one of the two next young French hopes representing the capital, but Ousmane already left Ligue 1 for a superior league. I don't seem him coming back to Ligue 1 now, if he's moving it's either to the Premier League or La Liga. I can't see a step down or even a side-step for a move.

If we manage to get this guy along with morata, we stand a very good chance of winning the league.

Plus Matic and Lindelof give us continuity and to borrow a quote of Teresa May they also give us strength and stability.

Thought last season was too soon for the biggest clubs but no longer, he's ready which is saying something at 20 years of age

I'd say there will be a big push for him later in the window once a few of the bigger clubs get pipped to the post for some other targets. We should be in there now as I don't think it will be an option next summer.

:wenger:

10 goals and 21 assists in 47 games this season. I'm very sure he will feature frequently for Guardiola.

6th to 1st is a big jump in a season where other clubs are managerially settled and significantly strengthening.

They are talking about Sterling, if I'm not mistaken.

IF he is available (which I sincerely doubt), we should send BVB a blank cheque - offer him a £8 million villa with Michelle Keegan waiting in the bedroom. Oh ya, and the number 7 shirt.

We had numerous draws last season which really hurt us and dembele and morata will assist us in unlocking defenses, creating space for others, scoring goals and winning games.
Lindelof should provide stability and passing out of the back and fabinio provides midfield solidity/shielding the defense, letting herrera and pogba shine plus a backup RB.

if we get our transfer business done right we could win the league and make a good champs league run as well and i stand by that.

But.....

Liverpool lost their main players at key moments last season so will be buying more than adequate replacements.

City have just bought half the GDP's worth of Africa (yes the continent). All of them huge upgrades.

Chelsea are in second season settled mode under Conte. As Current champions.

Spurs are keeping every single talented player from last season, barring Walker, and will strengthen key squad areas.

Utd are buying a Chelsea reject, a Madrid reject and someone that sounds like an expensive chocolate. You've had more impressive windows (and failed). Not saying you can't finish above us, for example, but anything more is fanciful.

Dumbstar can't get away with claiming Liverpool are signing adequate replacments (Salah for near 40?) and describing Morata as a Madrid reject.
Christ.

Christ, you're precious.

We desperately need a RW/RF. Seems like the most obvious signing for the position. I would find it hard to fathom if we aren't interested.

If we don't get him this summer and he has another stellar season at dortmund, we can forget about singing him. we won't be able to fight off Madrid Bayern or Barca who could easily create space for him next season.

What a load of shite. I couldn't be bothered to write a long-winded reply since you made no effort to consider that last line before you posted. Fanciful?

The problem here is Dortmund don't sell their players unless they run down their contracts to 1 year. (Lewandowski left on a free of course.)

He is tied down till 2021 so i don't think their is any hope of them selling.

Yeah we've had more impressive windows than the one that hasn't opened yet.

Technically, Liverpool just bought a Chelsea reject also. The 'Egyptian Messi'

Would the Madrid reject Morata not start for Liverpool? Personally I don't see anything wrong signing 'rejects' if they are quality players like James, Di Maria, Ozil, Robben etc.

When Klopp learns how to buy decent defenders and organise a defence, then I'll pay attention. Perhaps he could be doing with some 'expensive chocolate' But he couldn't keep his mouth shut regarding VVD and that's ended well.

If you and @cyberman bothered to read whole sentences, in the same post I said you may well finish above us. Way to miss the point caftards. :wenger:

It makes no sense though. Signing Madrid's second top scorer and a midfielder in Matic who started 30 league games last season aren't rejects.
That statement makes no sense. Is it because they're being sold? Doesn't that make every transfered player a reject?

How it Matic even Chelsea reject? Same with Moratta, how is he even Madrid's reject?

Reject means someone like Salah who failed to establish at top side and was shipped off immediately, not someone like Matic who started almost all games in both title winning seasons or Morata who was second top scorer for Madrid.

He's going to be a proper elite player. It would be horrible if he went to City.

Players like Dembele and dybala are the future.
Not sure why we aren't throwing the bank at Dortmund for him, my only guess is that he isn't interested in coming to OT. I'd be extremely worried if city got him.

Would love this kid and Mbappe......we can dream

Dembele is going nowhere this season..same as Weigl and Guerrero. They will all stay at Dortmund no matter what clubs are trying..they are not for sale.

Stupid post as per usual.
